  1. If I were Josh, I would be asking Saleh “Hey Bob, who is embarrassing who now, you *****”. But hey, that’s just me.
  2. I think that is the best game the Bills have played, as a team, all year. Tough, emotional, and focused. Very encouraging.
  3. I like your scenario. However, I would not give up on the AFCE quite yet. I know people will think I am delusional, but Miami is likely to lose at least 2 more if not 3 more before that game. Remember, if Buffalo wins both games against Miami they only need to tie in record. Of course, this scenario requires that the Bills accomplish a very heavy lift in the meantime, and the way they have been playing, that would seem unlikely. Getting their collective head out of their arse against the Jets would be a good start, but if they win the next two they are capable of a run. I think they need to go 5-1 prior to the last game to have a shot at it.
  4. All you need to say is “Ben Volin says” and you know the rest. Nice job here, but there has never been any reason to take this guy seriously about anything.
  5. I have not been on the McDermott is the problem train like many posters here have been, and in fact I have always argued back at this, but that train is beginning to leave the station in my mind. This article by Sharp is outstanding, well reasoned and backed up with facts. It is the best written explanation of what may be the crux of the problem I have read certainly. Definitely food for thought as the mistakes and failures by players and coaches pile up week after week. That said, I definitely think Dorsey was part of the problem. Whether it is partly or mostly due to McDermott’s direction is a valid question, as is the role of McDermott in Josh’s erratic performance. I know if I do not see some evidence that this team has not quit on the season and by extension the HC by the end of the year (hopefully very soon) the train will be all the way out of the station for me. Thanks for posting, really. I had already read it and would have posted if you had not already done so.
  6. When people start their posts with throwing out terms like “apologists” and “fan boys” you can be pretty sure what follows will be ignorant and you do not disappoint.
  7. So if someone does not agree with your “assessment” they are a coward? Thanks for letting us know. What revelation.
  8. The Dolphins and McDaniel exposed again. They are great front runners against bad teams.
  9. I am not sure why I tried. Just putting him on ignore and moving on.
  10. I understand your point, but you are just wrong when it comes to the Bengals. They have an MO of whining and searching for extra motivation by hanging on to dumb stuff, and just making stuff up as in the case currently being debated. Their coach encourages it. He was behind the whole "we are being dissed because the Bills are selling Championship tickets" BS last year. This is not fans being sensitive despite your arrogant comments. In the case of the Bengals, it's a real thing. They are whiney *****, led by a whiney B word. Sorry, but its true. You will never see the Bills doing this, because they have real leaders.
  11. The Bengals are a bunch of whiney *****. I absolutely hate that team.
  12. As per usual, Bills fans undervalue their players.
  13. It should also be said thatJones was performing at an elite level when he was hurt. That was a massive loss and no depth piece was going to fill that void. It is unfortunate that Ford or Settle have not been able to be more stout at the point of attack, but I seriously doubt that problem can be even partially solved with FA at this point in the year.
  14. There are at least a dozen regular posters here who I would not be surprised to learn made that call.
  15. It is clear to me that boneheaded mistakes are what have contributed in a major way to this discrepancy and go along way in explaining why results have been so mediocre. They have consistently shot themselves in the foot at critical times. The offense has been worse in this regard, starting with Allen, but we saw on Defense against the Pats what effect downgraded talent and lack of experience can have in the execution on that side of the ball as well. The coaches certainly need to figure this out but it has to start with the players taking ownership for executing their assignments. The coaches cannot do it for them.
  16. And the Bills are number 2 in red zone scoring offense. seems like a good matchup. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-pct
  17. Thee are no doubt a number of issues with the Bills right now but in my view the bulk of the problem has been player execution. It was largely in the offensive side the previous two weeks, but this week the defense stepped up and largely played poorly. It starts with Allen and he has been inconsistent at best, missing reads and missing throws at critical times. Missed blocking assignments up front, stupid penalties, drops have all contributed to killing drives at inopportune times. Defensive technique and execution were major problems with the D this week. I know people want to blame the coaches, and if the players are executing this poorly they certainly are in line for some blame, but the players need a major kick in the arse, and hopefully this can contribute.
  18. I would be shocked. NE is a bottom feeder with no offensive weapons, no pass rush, and a substandard secondary at the moment. Yes, the giants game, blah, blah. The Bills win this one going away.
  19. True enough, but the reality is that the Bills second team defense should have no trouble against the Pats starters.
  20. Really? In what way are the Patriots capable of exploiting the Bills defense if Oliver does not play? Sorry, but I don’t see it.
  21. Hardman was part of the big infusion of so called offensive talent to the Jets this year that everyone was so excited about. Yeah, not so much. In fact, other than the return of Breece Hall who is looking very good, the others are meh, all looking a bit washed. Cook is beyond his prime, as is Cobb and Lazard is uninspiring. Would Rogers have made this crew more productive? Possible, (although he looked pretty washed himself last year) but other than Wilson and Hall, they lack legitimate weapons. Pretty sad commentary on Hardman that he can’t contribute.
  22. Playoff spots are not decided in October. There are 11 more games. Guess what? They will be fighting for a spot all year long, as is every other team. None are wrapped up, every team has had stumbles and will continue to do so. If your expectation is that your team is going to play dominant football each and every week and that will then portend a championship, I think perhaps it your expectations that need adjusting. It is a grind, for everyone, and a great deal of both positive and negative situations will happen to each team between now and then. Their track is just fine.
  23. True or not, and I suspect there is more to it than Lynch will admit, the reason he left the Bills is that he was traded because he was being outperformed by a free agent from the USFL and he already had two strikes in the NFL personal conduct policy - the hit and run on Chippewa and being pulled over with an illegal firearm in the trunk in Oakland. I am sure he was not happy in Buffalo, but no one was particularly happy with him either.
