  1. People have selective memories. He was awful his last year here. No chemistry with Josh. Coming off serious injury at the end of his career. He does not solve any issue they have that I can see.
  2. Agreed, but with respect to Elam, at the time it was reported that Elam had issues with Butler, or quite possibly mutually. It was speculated that he would be a different player freed from Butler which did not happen. I just don’t think he ever fit in, and frankly, I don’t think he is very bright. Just not a good fit for this team.
  3. Yes, and he has shown that in his time with the Bills. Also, they are not playing him at SS. Other than that, the OP was right on!
  4. I realize it’s next offseason but I wished I shared your optimism n the plenty of money front. Even so, there’s no room to do McGovern now. He will have to play out this year and then they hope they can get a deal done before free agency, assuming they want to. If that’s the cost of securing Cook I am ok with that.
  5. Shenault did look good in the return game but the Bills cannot afford to keep him on as a returner only, and his history suggests he will never be a productive WR.
  6. If you are suggesting that the only reason the Bills win is because of Allen I would strongly disagree. That is a very simplistic analysis and although popular, totally wrong in my opinion.
  7. Yeah you are stuck with the best HC this team has seen in the last 20 years and maybe in the lat 50.
  8. It certainly would.
  9. There is no more secure coach in the NFL than McDermott. Pegula is not firing him.
  10. His suspension starts with the first game.
  11. I think that is the issue. Personally I would bet on Cook’s production falling off the cliff in the next two to three years. It may still be worth it to get what he has to offer over the next two years but his current trajectory is not likely to last beyond that. It may still be worth it but buyer beware.
  12. Reports from Joe B seem to indicate he has been steady but mostly not standing out. I think he is going to need some time.
  13. The Bills need Cook. Everyone knows that and I am sure Beane knows that as well. If negotiations are really close as some reports indicate, I would advise Cook if he was my client to cease poking Beane in the eye and demonstrate his value to the team. He is not gaining ground with this tantrum. If these reports are not true, then it does not matter anyway.
  14. Encouraging.
  15. Vrable eats this stuff up. If he thinks the bully boy tactics are going to get past the Bills, he mistaken. Jets and Dolphins, sure.
  16. I was thinking the same thing as I watched it. A bit reckless.
  17. Way too much angst over a random tweet from some nobody. I will wait for credible sources and my own eyes on Saturday.
  18. I am not sure why a low round draft choice performing at an NFL level better than an NFL veteran safety is disappointing. You should be ecstatic. I am sure the Bills are.
  19. Yes, so people saying Cook is better, how so? They seem pretty even to me. Cook’s market value is nowhere near what he is asking. I would be surprised is the Bills are not in this same ballpark with their offer.
  20. I would not be surprised by this. He is getting bad advice.
  21. I agree in principle, but. I think they do not have the cap space and would have to give up too much depth to do it. Dallas is not trading him anyway.
  22. Well, you could always just go away.
