  1. And sports franchise marketing experts as well.
  2. They have been vocal about their intention to resign him since the end of the season, so I doubt they are related.
  3. He has missed at least 10 games 3 of the last 4 years. This would seem like a very bad bet. I think it is a stretch to assume he is still elite. Retaining Benford is going to be expensive and that is the right move. Looks to me like Green Bay is trying to salvage something out of a likely cap casualty.
  4. Perhaps you have selective memory. Monos was widely panned as a clown when he was here, as was Whaley.
  5. Are we really going to take anything this failure has to say about anything seriously? What a joke.
  6. I appreciate that you posted this. Thanks. Unfortunately, not going to get far encouraging adult perspective around here after a disappointing loss.
  7. There is no way the Bills want their opponents to have that information before it is absolutely necessary. Inactives are announced 90 minutes before kickoff. If he is out, you will know then.
  8. It was for a while but not anymore. They are not going to enforce this tonight, so no point in getting upset about it.
  9. It’s hard for me to take any QB critique seriously from a guy who actually refused to go for a loose ball in a playoff game because he did not want to get hurt.
  10. Frankly, all the Bills safety’s have been beaten deep, pretty routinely this year. I am not sure there is much difference between Rapp and Bishop there. At least Bishop is fast. I am more concerned about intermediate zone reads in playing the less experienced Bishop in this spot. I expect the Bills will have a plan to try and keep KC from exploiting this too much. Hopefully Bishop can make a few plays. Time to put the big boy pants on.
  11. Missing practice due to personal reasons. Nothing to do with his status.
  12. Feel free to move on if you do not feel welcome instead of starting threads to whine about how unfairly you have been treated.
  13. Not quite the same but not all that different. If the HC is not reporting to the GM, which is the structure in Buffalo and, I believe, in most other franchises, then the order does not matter much. There is a tendency for teams to prioritize the coach given the sheer number of open jobs and small number of highly qualified candidates. That’s not to say the Jets will not screw it up. History argues they will.
  14. Poor Drake Maye. What this situation called for in NE was some new blood, new thinking, a chance to remold that team into a modern offense around a promising young QB. Instead what he’s got is another attempt to relive the glory years with old school “Patriot Way” coaches. They will likely be better than the Jets though, so there is that.
  15. Totally agree on Bernard. He is a difference maker and is finally healthy it seems. As for the officiating, there were numerous penalties that could have been called throughout the game, on both sides. Thee was an early phantom holding call on Dawkins which was huge, and a very questionable PI call on Tre White later which looked like a make up call. Otherwise the officials stayed largely out of it which is how it should be.
  16. I would laugh but I fear this is more predictive than funny.
  17. Go find another bridge to live under already.
  18. I would say this is the most blatantly biased officiating I have ever seen, except I watched it for years with Tom Brady and the Cheats.
  19. Agreed. That was some poor red zone play calling right there.
  20. If Ryan does not pull that cretan out of the game and can him tomorrow win or lose I will have lost all respect for him.
  21. Pittsburgh’s approach was made to look downright silly by the Ravens in short order. They took their best defender out of the play from the jump, by design. I would certainly hope the Bills do not copy that. Rushing them blindly is not likely to work. Controlling their gaps is and allowing the LBs to fill is probably the better approach on run downs. Outside blitzes against the run could work as well given Henry is really not a major threat to turn the corner. The key though to me is those 4 lineman holding the point of attack.
  22. Well I guess you would like the Bills to be picking at the top of the draft because they suck. That’s how the Bengals did it. They have paid Burrow but not Higgins and he is likely gone. They have yet to pay Chase and I guess we will see. Gesicki is a JAG who was cheap and has been around without much success until he got to play with Burrow. Not exactly a major investment. Brown? Really? the Bengals are a notoriously cheap organization. There is no way they keep both Higgins and Chase, and by the way, Hendrickson is only under contract one more year as well. As for Taylor, why do you think the Bengals start so poorly every year? Poor coaching and leadership perhaps? Sometimes I wish that people would get their wish and then see the franchise crash back to mediocrity, but I love the Bills too much to really want that.
  23. More likely Milano I think, at least primarily. Better instincts and better vision.
  24. That is a particularly ignorant take.
