11/21 Colts at Bills, Postgame Postmortem Thread
Bob in STL replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Indeed. And a few times we stopped them on 3rd down we took stupid penalties. Our first offensive series, seeing Ford take a procedure penalty to kill an easy first down was disheartening. It only got worse. On offense how many passes were dropped? I can think of 8. -

The were on the Injured/Covid list. Get a grip. I am not interested in your political rants or your childish attacks on people you don’t even know. The Mods said to keep Covid and politics out of this thread. My point is valid. We cannot function with two OL starters out. We have no backups. -

Allen was not the problem. Sure, he had a bad pick after penalties turned a sure first down into 3rd and 18. How many drops? I counted 5 in a row in the 3Q alone. The blocking is terrible. We cannot function with 2 OL injured. We have no backups. -

Definitely needed more players in the box than two LBs plus Poyer. By the time we did adjust to that we made mental errors in other phases of the game. Turnovers, penalties, drops …. The special teams fumble put us away. We had a few people out and no one stepped up. No one made a timely play. -
Bruce Smiths 200 Career Sacks, will it be beat?
Bob in STL replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
White played on 4-3, against the RT. The Eagles supporting cast was better most of the times. Bruce played on a 3-4, against the LT. Probably a tougher role for sure. Hard to say who was better but Bruce has the sack record. -
NFL will be better off without dirtbag Kroenke
Bob in STL replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. I will add that Ralph C Wilson was above this type of behavior. Otherwise the Bills would have been gone long ago. Ralph was not the best owner from a tactical football perspective. But his integrity and commitment to the Bills in Buffalo cannot ever be questioned. -

Amen. He screwed St Louis big time. He ruined the team and tried to drive away the fans. Then he pulled a lot of Shiite, trying to make a city with a perfectly functional dome stadium build him a palace when the city has LOTS of more important priorities. Then he builds the palace in LA and lures the Chargers away from SD. He tried to get the Raiders too. He does not care about people or the communities that he rapes. -
Good idea. You should retire from TBD.

Spencer Brown placed on Covid List [Edit: Thurs 11/18]

Fixed. -
I remember my Dad going nuts about it not seeing the end of the game. We were big time Bills and AFL fans. I was upset too. My mother and sister were on board with Heidi though.

Beast Mode will be the Bills Legend of the game this Sunday
Bob in STL replied to OrtonHearsaWho's topic in The Stadium Wall
1. Not really a Bills legend. 2. Got into trouble in the community. 3. Didn’t really even like Buffalo. I don’t get it but whatever. -
Very accurate summary of the teams and the game. The Colts will present a much bigger challenge. Josh Allen said “no more roller coaster” so I expect they come out fired up and well prepared for next week.

I want Beane to find a way to sign both. -
11/14/21 Postgame Thread: Bills at Jets
Bob in STL replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills really buckled down this past week. Better practices and better execution. When you execute, the play calls become “good”. Colts will be tuff. I’m glad we are home and hope they are ready again next week. -
I respect their coaching staff and the mystique. I think we are better. They will help us stay sharp.

First of all, it isn’t a myth. Look at the last few games. It is what we did to Mahommes. Can we beat a cover 2? Yes. Allen must be patient and take the underneath stuff. Daboll needs to call a better game, not be one dimensional and run the ball more effectively. Stop the stupid drive killing penalties. OL has to give Allen time to find a receiver when the medium and deep stuff is taken away. Cover 2 is nothing new or unbeatable. -
I think Bates is slated to backup the center. If he gets hurt at Guard, and Morse gets dinged, then we have no center. Feliciano is the other center back up and he is out.

Ridiculous comment. He is simply pumping up Klein and echoing the “next man up” mantra. Why would Oliver dare to comment on another players contract possibilities? He wouldn’t and he isn’t. It is well known that Klein plays the run very well and he can also be an effective blitzer. He was very good last year when forced to start.

The cover 2 is not the biggest problem if you are patient and willing to throw underneath. Success will depend on how good the Jets DL is, especially the DTs on the inside. If they overmatch our interior OL, and they can execute the blueprint that’s on on film, then they will give us trouble. Allen must stay cool and have the patience to take what’s there.

Calling all RB and OL Gurus, Your Input Please
Bob in STL replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem is the LG Boettger not helping the LT (Dawkins) with the guy in the gap. Very similar mistake was made by LG Feliciano on that fateful QB sneak versus Titans. Dawkins cannot make that block on the DL in the gap when the DL is going towards the middle, he needs LG to chip. Root cause could be any of these - Bad read and bad line calls? Poor talent and line play by OGs? Poor Coaching and preparation?
