  1. no…even after the bad Miami game they are ranked 15th
  2. This thing is so worthless. Remember last season when the Bills had a fraction of a chance to make the playoffs and the WGR guys were using the NYT playoff machine as though it were concrete evidence they were finished. I learned to ignored these simulations as there isn’t much validity until the very end of the season
  3. I’d rather have Elijah Ankou over Phillips on the main roster. He was not playing well in Buffalo and it doesn’t sound like he was working in Dallas either
  4. Of course but you never see a coach smiling like that on the sideline. It’s unusual. He’s smiling all the time even when something bad happens to his team
  5. That facemask call is such BS. Officiating is at an all time low
  6. Why the hell is Todd Bowles always smiling?
  7. They are fine and will be back in the game in no time
  8. Mark Gaughn of the Buffalo News said something similar. He thinks the Bills played a vanilla defense designed to protect against the big play.
  9. It sounds like the D-line was struggling especially when they had Eli Ankou lined up next to Austin Johnson due to the Smoot injury. At one point it looked like they tried to pair a starter with a backup and that didn’t work so well either. Other interesting I heard from Joe B is that since Avon’s suspension the Bills have been lining Rousseau up at LDE which he played in college and he has been doing much better. He started the game at LDE and had the only sack for Buffalo. But when Von came in, Rosseau switched back to RDE a position where he’s not as strong in. Meanwhile Von didn’t do much at LDE. It sounds like the better idea is to put Rosseau at LDE full-time.
  10. It was right there in his hands. I’d like to think that Keon makes the catch if Poyer doesn’t blast him but it looked like a drop before contact.
  11. I think that this draft highlights the strengths of the drafts under Brandon Beane’s squad. They were able to draft really well in the mid-to-late rounds with Bernard, Shakir, and Benford as high quality starters. Cook also was a hit for a late 2nd round selection. I disagree a bit on Elam. I’m not sure he’d be a starter on other teams but it’s hard to tell since he’s only played sporadically. Also if a draft pick becomes a star under a different regime, I don’t think you can give the GM who drafted them credit for the pick.
  12. Seems like it’s always a crazy one too
  13. I don’t think this is anything. This Banged up Bills dude does a good job but he’s always looking for the smallest sign of a potential injury. His catchphrase should be “something to monitor.” The interesting this is that on Josh’s final pass his inaccuracy was probably the reason why they won. Josh’s long pass to Kincaid was thrown low and short, so much that Kincaid had to make an unsuccessful sliding attempt with 0:12 on the clock. Had he caught the football I’m unsure if there would be enough time to run down and spike the football for a short FG.
  14. Of course, but if the gap integrity was better they wouldn’t have as much success. I think a lot of that has to do, again, with poor execution. I didn’t have a problem with their game plan today only because a long pass to Waddle or Hill could break the game open - especially when you consider the limitations of Elam, Williams, and Damar.
  15. Baltimore was just a ***** show. I didn’t have a problem with the Bills coaching today as much as I did with the players. here’s an example I used. Everything was taken by the coverage call. Tua gets a first down because of poor interior DL play. Game is probably over if there was a better rep by Oliver/Jones You can find many other examples where players were in position to make plays and they couldn’t get Achane down. A lot of times this fell on Dorian Williams. It’s not all “adjustments” like some here want to believe. Players have to execute and many times this season they just haven’t.
  16. lower-quality teams like Houston? Also shouldn’t that mean that their adjustments should have worked against 2-6 Miami? I just feel that the “adjustments” discussion is a tired narrative. They have tried different things in the second half this season and it’s worked.
  17. The one time they changed it up and sent a blitz resulted a 27-yard pass to Hill versus Elam in one-on-one coverage. I think trying to keep Hill/Waddle in front of them, along with subpar play at IDL, LB, and S was the issue today. There seemed to be multiple times when players were in position, they just couldn’t make a stop or they shot themselves in the foot with penalties Ha ha same. I don’t think TEN will trade him. But I also wouldn’t mind his teammate Sebastian Joseph Day who also would be a solid and cheap addition.
  18. Yeah that’s not at all true. The Bills defense has typically performed much better in the second halves of most football games this season. Do second half adjustments count as a “plan b?”
  19. Campbell would be the perfect player for the Bills. Unfortunately Miami isn’t going to trade him. Their media thinks they can go 7-1 and make the playoffs at 10-7
  20. DaQuan was on the field and was blocked past Tua. Oliver never dropped. He couldn’t get off his block - though he might have been held
  21. The Keon drop/INT was huge. It can’t be understated. I’ve been encouraged by him this season but he still seems inconsistent and mistakes like these are brutal. The red zone issues were the reason why the game was as close as it was
  22. They tried that and the blitz didn’t get there. Tyreek beat Elam for a deep pass in one-on-one coverage. Front four needs to get more pressure…though they likely won’t face a team that gets the ball out faster than Tua
  23. The interior DL hasn’t played well consistently either - specifically Daquan and Oliver. There were multiple times when players were in the good position and they could bring down the RB. On Tua’s 4th down scramble, the Bills secondary took away every WR but the DL allowed him to break contain up the middle.
  24. Seems like a wrist sprain. I guess he had some kind of brace on it after the game. So it could be a week-to-week injury but right now it doesn’t seem like anything long term and there is a bye week coming up
