  1. The strange thing is.... the Bills never really got in sync on offense. Turned the ball over with 3 times over the span of 7 plays. And scored 27 points all on offense. The turnovers really sunk the team, especially Devin’s fumble. Josh’s was bad too. That’s why the 3rd quarter struggles are so hard to pin down. It’s a combination of poor execution by everyone - offense, defense, coaching etc No mention of Devin Singletary’s fumble? I think if he holds into the football, the final score is very different. I wouldn’t be shocked if Frazier leaves, but I don’t think it happens. McDermott is really not under any pressure and he has tremendous respect for Frazier. The defense seems to have gotten a little better this season as well. Plus, we all know that McDermott is probably pretty hands-on with the defense. No reason for him to make Frazier a scapegoat. If he really does feel the defense needs an overhaul, he’ll make the move. But again, I don’t see that as the case.
  2. Thats not really true. Take this year out of the equation. He started 13 games in 2018 and 15 games in 2019. He’s had injury issues this season but a lot of players have. I wouldn’t consider him to have the “injury prone” label.
  3. The fumble looks worse given the situation and history. I can’t remember the last time he fumbled. I see Motor as a talented back. I don’t think he has the breakaway speed to break off home run TD’s. Because of this, I think you need a #2 RB to compliment and I hope Moss develops into that role. I would also love to see Yeldon get a few carries and targets too. With that being said, knowing how the team could be up against the cap in a few years, I don’t see Brandon Beane resigning Singletary to a second contract unless it’s a cheap deal. IMO he is more likely to draft another one on a rookie deal. I believe he understands the value of the RB position and I can’t see a huge investment
  4. Dion has been playing very well this season. I think they felt comfortable with him holding his own in 1-1 pass blocking situations. It didn’t work so well. Also, there was some kind of run where Morse and Feliciano were pulling to their left. It left Gabe Davis all alone to, from what I can assume, make a cut block on Joey? It was a mess. Not a good idea
  5. I think this the perfect example of recency bias. Klein has played better over the past weeks but Milano is the better player overall. If there’s a way you can Milano on the team, I would support that
  6. Context matters. Back then 60% completion was excellent for a QB. Now it’s expected
  7. I started comparing QB stats and came across Dan Marino. I’d say he sort of had an interesting career stat wise - tremendous success early in his career, and NFL record for TD passes, and a Super Bowl appearance. For the rest of his career he put up very great numbers (though never as good as his first few seasons) but he never reached another Super Bowl. Not only that but he only reached an AFC Championship Game one other time in 1993. All of this, yet Marino is still regarded as one of the best QB’s of all time and has the stats to make the argument. Yet he had very limited success in terms of sustained post season success. Miami was always a 10 or 11 win team under Marino, who occasionally won a Wildcard game, but barely got further than that. While I only followed his career occasionally, Im wondering why Marino didn’t achieve more success? Was he a QB that just didn’t deliver in big games when he needed to? Was Don Shula living on his past laurels from the 1970’s? Or did the Miami organization not put enough talent around him? I also wonder if the Bills success during his prime derailed his chances to succeed (much like the Patriots of the past 20 years or so). From what I can remember, every time it mattered the Bills and Jim Kelly beat Dan Marino - including 3 times in the playoffs.
  8. The problem with signing Stills is that you’d have to bump one of the WR’s off the active roster and maybe off the team. So which receiver do you cut? Diggs, Brown, Beasley, McKenzie, Davis, Roberts? I can’t see them having 7 active WR’s every week that don’t play special teams. If the idea is that he takes over during Brown’s injury, by the time we sign Stills it would take about almost 2 weeks for him to get activated. By then, there’s a good chance Brown is probably ready. Notice how they haven’t put him on IR. That probably means he should be back within 2-3 weeks. The only way I see the Bills signing Stills is if they know Brown is done for the year
  9. I’m not saying that Thomas is a great TE or comparing him to the Bills TE’s. I’m just saying that he was a player that showed a lot of athleticism as a TE is finally doing some good things. I remember when he was in Buffalo, his wife tragically lost their baby girl. The positive way the family handled the situation was inspiring. It made me want to root for Logan ever since. Things didn’t work out in Buffalo but it looks like he should have a spot in the NFL for years to come. I
  10. Former Bills Tight End Logan Thomas made the highlight reel today for throwing a nice 28 yard pass to set up a Washington score and catching a nice little goal line TD. I knew that Thomas was kicking around the league but what I didn’t realize is that he’s putting together a very nice season for Washington. Currently he has 34 catches for 328 yards and 4 TD’s. These aren’t earth shattering numbers - it’s probably why we haven’t heard much about him this season. But they do put him in the top half of TE’s in the league. Also, it’s definitely not bad productivity for a player who couldn’t get on the field much for the Bills. I remember the potential that you’d see him in occasionally when Thomas was trying to crack the lineup in Buffalo. Glad that he’s finally realizing it in Washington a few seasons later. He seemed to be a pretty good dude and I’m genuinely happy for him.
  11. This article was ok. It wasn’t as amazing as some on Twitter thought, a little overrated. It was long and bloated. Isn’t it funny how all former Bills GM’s were *this* close to making the right decision. - Buddy Nix was all on board for drafting Russell Wilson....yet he took TJ Graham before him - Doug Whaley wanted Khalil Mack....but Marrone insisted he drafted offense so they took Sammy Watkins. - Whaley had a 3rd/4th round grade on EJ Manual and publicly said he was behind the pick when things were good...yet since EJ sucked it was all Buddy’s doing. Not his. I The revisionist history here is crazy
  12. Just a devastating season for the entire Cowboys organization
  13. I like Ty Dunne but I would put him in the same boat with Matthew Fairburn as reporters who are out to prove that McDermott isn’t as good as the praise he receives around the league There’s a ton of revisionist history with Mahomes. I can completely believe that Terry wanted to draft him but didn’t want to usurp his newly higher Ed coach (something another Bills owner had no problem doing). The reasons why the Bills didn’t draft Mahomes have been discussed many times. It had to do more with the fact that McDermott didn’t trust Whaley who was about to be fired and had pretty lousy at his job. In the end it was the wrong. Knowing what he turned into the Bills should’ve drafted him, but again... in hindsight Mahomes would’ve been an easy #1 pick if we knew his potential.
  14. It would make sense. He tends to struggle against fast WR’s but it seems like he’s so decent in the slot
  15. I wanted an upgrade from Levi this year but he holds his own most of the time, which is more then you can say about Daryl Worley
  16. I don’t agree with everything here - especially the “built to peak in December” line. Is their record better than metrics like DVOA? Maybe. But DVOA also rates Miami as a much better team than they are in reality. Also I believe Baltimore had the highest highest DVOA and they got bounced in the first round of the playoff game. Im not as sold on point differential either. Looking at the stat alone to define a good team lacks a lot of context. With that being said, you did a good job summing job the team. They can pass and stop the pass but can’t run or stop the run. I see KC in a league of their own, maybe Pittsburgh based on record, but I think Buffalo is right there with about 6 other AFC teams.
  17. ...these threads!?!?!?!? Answer is Adam Linger BTW
  18. True...but any playoff matchup will be tough.
  19. I disagree. Adam Gase is the best thing to happen to the Jets and we should regard him as the true genius he is. The Johnson’s should give him a lifetime contract!!
  20. It was an odd move considering it was only a 10 point game at the time of the move. It eminded me of all those times over the past two seasons when Josh struggled and fans would demand Matt Barkley. It was explained ad naseum why you don’t pull your rookie QB. Flores literally did it! It just seems like a quick shortsighted move
  21. It has to be Steve Christie. It was such a breath of fresh air to have a kicker that you could rely on especially after the last few years of Scott Norwood. Christie was so dependable during his first year with the Bills. He hit the wall toward the end but you always felt confident he’d make a pressure kick when you needed him to. Second favorite is Steve Hauschka. He had a great season for Buffalo in 2018 and 2019 but never was the same after the Henry Anderson cheap shot
  22. Not really....People talk about him like he’s the biggest piece of trash to ever play the position. There’s a pattern there... same way they used to talk about Josh
  23. I don’t know - there’s a certain profile rof QB that analysts seem to hate - The tall, strong, athletic, strong armed but inaccurate, sometimes religious, All-American white dude QB. Analysts seem to slam these QB’s and compare them to Christian Hackenberg and then a ome fans seem to follow suit. You saw this with Josh Allen...then Daniel Jones and Drew Locke. Hill seems to get a lot of that venom
  24. I’ll never get the hatred that some fans and the media have for Hill. Everyone he touches the ball, people want to point how much he sucks. He hasn’t exactly blown me away his play either but I can accept that he is what he is - a gadget player. I just don’t feel he should be as polarizing as he currently has been
  25. Yes it is possible....which is why it’s foolish to only blame the coaching staff for not having a good “feel of the game” as this thread did. Personally I didn’t have a problem with the call. I did have a problem with the execution from Addison for not containing the edge. I don’t see how you can blame coaching for that play
