  1. Only 75 pages? They should move the stadium to Salamanca Everyone wants this but it’s way too expensive. The infrastructure downtown can’t support it
  2. Addison appears to be mentoring the defensive ends in Buffalo. He seems to be the type of leader/mentor they want in the locker room. Plus I am thinking the team is betting on him having a larger impact as a situational player rather than an every down DE. Cutting Addison would not be consistent with the moves that Beane & McDermott have made over the past few years
  3. You’re 100% right about the downtown stadium. They talk about it on the podcast. The problem is the infrastructure downtown probably could not support the stadium which means they’ve have to start from scratch and it would be too expensive to justify. That’s the reason why they are building in Orchard Park. The open air part is a little unclear to me. It seems like it would benefit the county more with an option to close the roof. My guess is that they want to keep the same football environment. My bad… that’s what I meant
  4. I’m not digging any hole….just reporting the comments from 2 journalists who are plugged in. As I said, I don’t see them selling
  5. I think that Special Teams could play a factor. Farwell mentioned Johnson again and I think the only chance for him to stay on the active roster is if they move on from Taiwan Jones
  6. I’ve been of the mind that the Pegula’s aren’t going to sell the team and I feel that the ridiculous public funding was an attempt to aim high at the start of negotiations - though one that was somewhat tone deaf. In the Tim Graham show linked below, Timmy and Matt Fairburn share some pros and cons about whether Terry and Kim would actually move the team. Why them might move the team - Terry is best friends with Stan The Man Kroenke who essentially gave the middle finger to St. Louis and moved the team after they bent over backward for him. If he’s taking direction from Stan, it might not bode well. - The price of oil has gone down and the Pegulas are not as valuable as they once were years ago. - The poor handling of the Sabres and downsizing has fostered some ill will toward PSE and Buffalo. Kim and the children are very aware of the negative perception. If they are on the fence could this be a deciding factor. - MONEY. PSE can make a lot more money relocating to a bigger market. Greedy NFL owners and perhaps the league itself would welcome one of the smallest market teams in the NFL moving to a larger one Why them might NOT move the team - The Pegulas still have a substantial investment in the Sabres and downtown Buffalo. It probably wouldn’t make sense to get rid of the Bills with the other properties. - Terry and Kim have relished the role of “savior” of the Bills fans and have made numerous commitments to keeping the team in Buffalo. It doesn’t seem like they have the interest of the stomach to be the villain. - New York State and Erie County seems to understand the value that the Bills bring to the area. This could influence their openness to providing more public funding than they would have in the past. - The Bills have disputed the $1.1 million dollar figure which was reported by BN. Overall an interesting discussion. Fairburn also shares why Austin has become the new “boogeyman” and the reasons why the Bills need a new stadium in OP
  7. …if for not other reason, Jerry Jones doesn’t want a 3rd NFL team in Texas
  8. Beane always has cap space late into the summer but he’s pretty judicious with it because I can’t remember the Bills making a big addition to the roster right before Week 1. It seems to me that he tends to re-sign players late in August like White and Dawkins.
  9. Anyone know what happened to Reggie Rogers? It seems that he was a player the Bills brought in to improve the interior DL after getting gashed in SB25. Pro Football Reference has him appearing in 2 games for Buffalo and registering 2 sack. I’m guessing he was cut in season?
  10. Almost 30 years to the day, channel 4 put out this special in the 1991 preseason called “Mission Minnesota” which covered the Bills preseason and their attempt to return to the Super Bowl. It hosted by Van Miller who does a really good job Among the interesting notes from the 1991 preseason: The big addition to the lineup was Reggie Rodgers a troubled ex 1st round draft pick who didn’t make the roster. The Bills went into the season banged up with Kelly, Bruce, and Leon Seals all nursing injuries. The team was counting on WR Vernon Turner to be the explosive KR that Al Edwards wasn’t. I don’t think he made the team. There’s also a fun video about the “new” trend of fantasy football! Check it out
  11. NYS spends so much taxpayer money in the NYC metro area and other BS that most Western, NYers don’t care about. It’s about time they help out with a new stadium downtown
  12. It’s an ok signing. Not the game changer some of you make it out to be. He didn’t have any impact in the playoff game last season
  13. Maybe if this was 2014…
  14. There’s no doubt about it. After an excellent 2014 season, the expectations for Gilmore were really high and his play declined in 2015 and 2016 to the point where he was merely average to slightly above-average at best in most games. Because of his bad play and on-field famous finger pointing fans were ready to move on from him in 2017.
  15. I get the impression that Roseman is overplaying his hand with Ertz. He’s coming off his worst season ever and teams are probably skeptical to give up for 3rd or 4th for him.
  16. The week 2 game against NE was supposed to be the moment Rex changed the fortunes for the Buffalo. Instead it was the first sign that there were some major flaws with his defense. What I’ll always remember was how confused the secondary was - notably Stephon Gilmore. There’s a few deep TD throws that Brady completes to Chris Hogan who absolutely burned Gilmore - the CB that some fans were touting as best in the league. It’s unclear whether he simply got beat or whether his help didn’t arrive but Gilmore physically would gesture and point to his teammates on the field to suggest “you blew that coverage…not me.” He’d do this multiple times throughout his career. I feel that Gilmore’s struggles in Rex’s defense and his poor reactions led to a lot of resentment from the fan base. EJ was staring down the defender….not the reciever!
  17. He’s a camp body that might get a few of the snaps that Hollister will miss over the next week or so. If the injury was serious, they wouldn’t be signing the Bug. He’s not making the team Bug Howard is your grandson?
  18. It’s remarkable to see how the talent level has risen over the past few season. There’s several positions now where good players are going to get cut and then signed immediately onto other NFL rosters
  19. sure here is the rest of Tier 2 7 - tie: Lamar Jackson (4, 38, 8 ) 7- tie: Matthew Stafford (4, 38, 3) 9: Dak Prescott (1, 41, 8 ) 10: Justin Herbert (4, 37, 7, 2) 11: Matt Ryan (0, 32, 18 ) 12: Kyler Murray (0, 30, 18, 2) 13: Ryan Tannehill (0, 27, 23) 14: Joe Burrow (0, 27, 17, 6)
  20. I think Hodgins upside and versatility will give him the edge. I don’t see Kumerow making this roster and he won’t last on the practice squad again, so if they could flip him for a pick I’d take that
  21. That was the exact quote in the article. He’s very close to Tier 1
  22. Yeah it means nothing. Some players have risen and dropped drastically. I think it does show that the majority of NFL evaluators have a favorable opinion of Allen (for now) and I feel it bodes well for the future.
  23. The annual QB Rankings were released in an article from The Athletic. For the rankings 50 NFL coaches and execs place starting QB’s into 5 different tiers. Josh Allen was their 6th highest rated QB and the highest member of Tier 2. He fell just out of Tier 1 with the biggest knock on him being sustainability and fumbles. He actually received 20 Tier 1 votes which puts him just outside of that level. Overall he received 20 Tier 1 votes and 30 Tier 2 votes. The next closest was DeShaun Watson who edged him with 26 Tier 1 votes, 23 Tier 2 votes, and 1 Tier 3 vote!. You can read the full analysis in the links below: 2021 NFL Quarterback Tiers: 50 coaches and evaluators rank the league’s starters https://theathletic.com/2727336/2021/07/28/2021-nfl-quarterback-tiers-50-coaches-and-evaluators-rank-the-leagues-starters/?source=user_shared_article A lot of positive comments on Allen. Here’s what the skeptical GM and Coaches had to say: For those interested, the Tier 1 QB’s along with the vote count were: 1. Aaron Rogers (50) 2. Patrick Mahomes (50) 3. Tom Brady (41,9) 4. Russell Wilson (40,10) 5. DeShaun Watson (26,23,1)
  24. No doubt. The entire game was a huge opportunity for Duke. Athletes wait forever for a chance like that and unfortunately he didn’t deliver. If he plays well it’s odd to think how things could have been different going into 2020
