I don't think we are at the settling deals yet. Some of these guys will wait till post draft or post June cuts. A lot of teams still have 30+ mil to spend. I think it’s more about right fit than splash deals. Like us, many teams don’t have the holes to fill as much now. But I do agree, there are plenty quality players to be found.

I think if we sign him now, they automatically get our first this year. They’d have to agree to take next years first. But why would they if they get this years automatically?

If we offered Clowney a deal after the draft, would we owe the Texans a first round pick next year? Can we wait until after the draft to do that? If it costs a 1st next year, I’m in

Honestly, I’m going off the word of everyone else. I just know he was considered a top 2 prospect going into the season and I know he has a falling out with his coach. I haven’t seen Williams drop that far in the few mock drafts I’ve looked at, so I didn’t consider him. Also, if he only started one year, would McDermott even want him? I usually wait until after free agency to research players and get obsessed with people for no reason. Much like I hated the idea of drafting Allen last year. That’s how much my scouting is worth ?. The more I see these other QBs move up boards, the more I think the other Josh Allen could be had for a decent trade. To me so far, he seems like the best overall fit and impact player not named Bosa
