You are completely entitled to your opinion. No offense taken whatsoever. Nevertheless, I stand by what I said. -
Agree! Coach McD clearly gave Fraizer his stamp of approval. It certainly was coach McD defense. However, the little tweeks might be effective. Might be the difference from winning and losing or getting that crucial stop. Personally, I don't have much faith in McD. I certainly don't see him as a savior or the answer. Let's see how it plays out. Either way, McD will be front and center. He will get blame or praise based on his performance. Who can bicker about that?
-
I really question if players have a little negative thought process after the 13 sec coach McD disaster. If they question in the back of their mind can he get it done. I get the feeling that Diggs feels this way. Gotta believe others do too.
-
Agree but I'd add in Tua and Rodgers too. It was an absolute opinion.

13 seconds is a good measuring stick...
-
I'm glad he's taking over the defense! He can't hide anymore. He and the fan base can't use Frazier as the scapegoat. It's put up or shut up time. That's a great thing.

No I'm thinking the Tenn and Pitt team of a couple of years ago. Where they out muscled the Bills. No the Bills play goes back further than this pre season. They played a poor game vs Miami and we know the Cincinnati story. It's still in the minds of the fans and likely the players too. Yes it's a new season with lots of changes. In my eyes, this team and coaching staff have a lot to prove. It sure seems like the gap in the division has closed. The Bills no longer seem like a dominant team in the division or in the league. They are still very good and can excell under the right circumstances. I'm not giving up hope. To be honest, this is likely the make or break year for the Bills. A super bowl just seems so far away now. I felt the complete opposite last year when the season started. More than fair post. The best chance for advocating a Bills win is Allen. He will have to be Mahomes like on Monday night. A mediocre Allen won't get it done.

Sir, the Bills couldn't do anything vs Cincinnati three oline back ups. The same theme was fermented day after day until the game started. To boot, the Bengals running game thrashed the defense too. Do you really have confidence that the Bills can generate a solid pass rush? I don't! Can they stop the run? The Bills don't have the advantage in the trenches. They are a finesse team that lacks strength and relays on speed. The Jets will likely out muscle the smaller Bills players. Remember, the Zach Wilson game where they pounded the ball like 10 to 15 times straight and ran out the clock for the win. They know how to run block well and they added a dangerous and motivated Delvin Cook. In short, don't get enamored with the weak oline of the Jets. The Bills pass rush is unlikely to take advantage of it and Rodgers knows how to handle pressure.

No, the Bills are losing to the Jets because they will dominant the battle in the trenches. The Bills are still weak there. The Jets are more physical and it's a bad match up for the Bills. Think Pittsburg and Tennessee if you will. The difference maker last year was mostly the QB position. The Jets closed the gap tremendously. Rodgers won't be asked to be Superman in NY. Delvin Cook broke off a huge run last year and another wouldn't surprise me especially because the Jets like to pound the rock. Likely Cook will be extra motivated. It's a opening Monday night game on September 11th in NY. What a frenzy and home field advantage the Jets have. HUGE!!! How can the refs not favor the Jets! We all should get prepared for a ref fuc#ing. The team looks to be limping into this game. The offense and defense looks somewhat unenthusiastic, unmotivated, or perhaps floundering. I know many we revert to it being preseason and no need to be alarmed. I get that. However, it doesn't bode confidence in my mind. Lastly, you have to keep in mind the coaching factor. McD has a lot on his plate and who knows how Dorsey responds under serve duress. Perhaps another tablet is DOA. I don't see the Bills offense consistently moving the ball in the Jets. Their defense matches up well with Buffalo. The Bills oline is a work in progress. Nowhere near refined or cohesive. Their dline will win more battles than they lose. Not to mention they have one of the best secondaries in the league. Besides Diggs the Bills have a bunch of fill ins. Don't believe the Gabe Davis hype. The Bills are experience and have Allen. That alone should keep the game somewhat close. In the end, the Bills have too much to overcome. No Von, home field advantage, poor ref calls, McD first game as coach and DC, Dorsey?, no MLB, and a oline that is a work in progress. This is the Jets Superbowl sort of speak. Bills lose by 10.

Really like the signings. Beane is teeeking an already loaded and dangerous roster. You can't hate that! He's always looking to improve the team.
-
It's starting to look like Buffalo was and is a solid playoff team that presumably falls short year after year. At the very least, it applies until proven false. Frankly, I wanted him as the Bills coach this year. I think he would have given the team a huge spark, new identity, and even more dangerous on the offensive side of the ball. Frankly, I just can't get excited about coach McD anymore. His time has run out in my mind. He's best to go rebuild another team. I know that's the minority view. I get it.
-
I'm already there. I started questioning the coaching shortly after 13 seconds. Since McD has arrived, I've watched the Bills lose winnable playoff games and get out coached numerous times. He's not a poor or horrible coach but I think he's overrated. I welcome a change to an offensive minded coach .

Almost feels like the Bills are limping into the Monday night game vs the Jets. Under the McD regime, the Bills have won a lot of pre season games and played pretty well. Felt like he wanted to instill winning, playing hard, and executing in these games. This year seems completely different. Like let's not get hurt and play ultra conservative. Maybe that's a good thing? Just feels a bit strange. Certainly, had me wondering if other teams especially in the division have closed the gap. This season seems pivotal to the direction on the Bills going forward. As a side note, look out for Diggs if things start going south. He will 100 percent be a problem. Hopefully, that doesn't happen.

It's hard not to think the Jets O isn't going to be better with Rodgers and Cook. I couldn't help but get flashbacks to the Cincinnati game when you mentioned the weak OL of the Jets. Truthfully, I don't have confidence in the Bills pass rush. Without a healthy Von they just don't look that good. Also, the Jets pounded the ball vs the Bills. They are not bad in run blocking. This seems to get overlooked here. It's too early for a game prediction. However, that crowd in 9/11 will be crazy and frenzied. Big advantage to the Jets. The bias in me thinks the refs will favor the Jets big time. This sure seems like a statement game for the Jets to their fans. This game has uphill battle written all over it.

I'm saying the Bills offense is built and predicated on longer passing plays; which takes longer to develop. I'm not a stat guy, but I'm willing to say that Allen Is near the top of average yards per pass attempt. It's been a consistent and constant theme that the Bills really don't utilize the screen game and Allen is reluctant to take the check downs. Last year, they didn't have a quality slot guy for quick passes. Rather, Allen likes to scramble and look for the big plays down field. Often, he's successful and that's one asset that makes him special. Sure at times, it leads to turnovers or a less percentage completed passes. That's the way I see it. There's always been discussion about reigning in Allen. How much is too much or not enough? How much blame or credit goes to Allen and or the coaching staff? One play that immediately comes to mind is the Miami game. It was a fourth down play and Allen scrambled and scrambled towards the out of bounds sideline. At the last moment, he jumped and threw an amazing ball for a TD. Vintage Josh Allen! We all remember that. Another game that jumps off the page is the 13 sec game. Allen was throwing darts down field with ease. It was orgasmic! In short, Allen is a gun slighter sort of speak. Think Brett Farve if you will. He will almost always look downfield first. Yes, almost to a fault sometimes instead of taking the underneath stuff. That's the trade off and the dilemma Dorsey and Daball faced. There is no easy answer or solution. My biggest criticism of Allen is his turnovers. Turnovers can really be game changers. In short, I don't believe the Bills game plan advocates for lots of underneath throws. Couple that with Allen being more apt to make longer down the field passes. However, I do remember the Bills coming out and being effective vs the Rams. Short quick passes that opened up the deep throws. I believe that was the case the following game vs Tenn. I'm not so sure Allen had confidence in his WRs last year. Cook was also learning on the job. Perhaps, this year they will get back to utilizing the short game. They certainly didn't do it vs Miami or Cincinnati in the playoffs. -
Few things not being talked about concerning this offense.

Just wondering when has Brown played good? Not trying to be silly. I really can't remember saying wow Brown looks solid today. -

Based on your description here of Allen he certainly doesn't sound elite. He hasn't made his receivers better, he isn't decisive enough with his throws, he doesn't hit his check downs, and he doesn't make the proper adjustments. Did I summarize accurately what you said? Boy, I'm more confused than ever... That's not the Bills offense. Allen isn't running a west coast offense or a version of it. Allen is more than capable of competing short quick passes. He did it with Beasley quite well. Joe Burrow and the Bengals are a great example of what you are talking about. That's not the Bills offense. -

Of course, he deserves criticism when he plays poorly. I've criticized him myself. My premise isn't that he is void of criticism. My contention is that he can read defenses. He vision is very good. A poster stated he can't read defenses. I think that's just flat out inaccurate.
