  1. No need for me to call him. He knows he has a huge weakness at MLB. He's on the phone right now trying to upgrade the position. He just told me he's inquiring to see if Cornelius Bennett is available on the cheap due to cap space. Although it's a long season, the Jets opener should give us a nice measuring stick.
  2. I agree but he might be the best the Bills have there. At least he's a good run stuffer. The others seemingly aren't good at anything.
  3. Unfortunate, but he isn't very good either. No biggie in my eyes. I don't know who is out there at MLB. The Bills have to do something. Right? Can they possibly go into this season with any of these guys on the roster?
  4. My thoughts so far. Offense: Bills have upgraded their RB and WR position from last year. Jury is still out on the Oline. The back up QB position is very bad. Defense: MLB is a disaster in the works. Have no idea how the Bills can hide this weakness. Poona has been a huge disappointment. If AJ and Boogie continue to improve the pass rush will be solid especially with Von' s return. Special teams seems to be a little concerning this pre season. I'm not knowledgeable enough to say if it's an indicator of poor play in the regular season.
  5. Maybe sits out the whole season. The Bills need him for the playoffs.
  6. I did say that. We all have ways to protect ourselves. McD never threw Fraizer under the bus. It was very subtle how he shielded himself from criticism. Now he's the DC and he removed the shield sort of speak. I believe he knows the urgency to advance further. He's banking on himself. You can't hate that.
  7. I feel that way but I also think his time has pretty much ended here. The guy is a class act and has Buffalo built in his bones sort of speak. He's more than a football coach. He built a great team and culture. Football has been enjoyable since his arrival. He deserves lots of credit. However, all good things come to an end. I think he's sort of lost his spark, his effectiveness, and not sure he can get the team further. I'd rather get some new blood in the building like Ben Johnson. No disrespect to McD. How can you dislike the guy? Still pissed about 13 seconds but it doesn't negate all the good. Hope that makes sense.
  8. The Bills have primarily been a finesse team than physical. But now the Bills have Torrence a mountain of a man. Not so soft anymore.
  9. There's no better leader and coach for the Buffalo Bills than McD. He's a class act, a winner, a religious man, a great coach, teacher of life, etc... He built a winner and a class organization in Buffalo for 6 years. The Bills are fortunate to have such a man.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if Dorsey shines this year. He will be a head coach soon.
  11. What's all this talk about? The Bills roster is solid. Beane has built a great team surrounded by a great coach and assistants. Folks no need to make drastic changes. No panic, concern, or worries. Beane and McD have built a helluva team. Top 5 in the league. Many here are are concern mode. Sure I get it but I also have 6 years of greatness in Beane and McD. They know more than the fans. Morse is solid. He is a nice piece to the already strong Buffalo oline.
  12. It's not like McGovern is elite. The pieces are there so long as the back ups don't get injured. The Bills are more vulnerable at the tackle position. If Brown or Dawkins go down then I'd be more concerned. Even then, Beane has a solid plan for that too. Almost everyone in the league has oline concerns. Remember, number 17 can make up for a lot.
  13. The oline should be fine. Kromer is damn good and Beane knows what he's doing. Not a big deal if McGovern goes down. The Bills are deep in that position. Smash the Jets! Trust the process. Kromer is an excellent coach and Beane has solidified the oline.
  14. I would like to see Davis excell. That would really put the offense at another level. Personally, I think a lot of Davis success will depend on Kincaid and other receivers. If Davis is the true number 2 WR, I'm not super enthusiastic about Davis breaking out.
  15. He better get a solid agent to work the WR angle for a bigger pay day.
  16. I agree mainly because he's a WR and not a TE.
  17. Very good point that I failed to mention. I agree. Don't you think they should change his position to WR rather than TE?
  18. I think he has a high ceiling too. I think he will do well too if utilized property. The NFL is a different step up from Utah. Couple that with his limited college football experience. There is a huge learning curve here. I think most are minimizing or ignoring this. Another issue is the guy isn't much of a blocker. He will be a liability at times. No doubt he can be an offensive weapon. His hands are elite and route running looks very good. Allen should only make him better. I'm just not ready to proclaim him as the next Kelce or the one who gets the team over the top. Let's look at Cook as an example. Perhaps not totally applicable but nevertheless I think it has some merit. So many here talked about how great he was going to be. So excited about the draft pick. He was going to use his speed and catch the ball out of the backfield. Take it to the house if you will. We all know what happened last year. Let's wait and see what kind of impact a rookie TE with limited college football and limited blocking skills will have. Let's wait to see if his elite hands and route running will be utilized by Dorsey. There are lots of unanswered questions. Let's be optimistic but realistic too.
  19. They should look at all their options. If he has something to add on the cheap then get it done.
  20. I really like the Kincaid pick. I also liked Zay Flowers and Jack Campbell. Both were long gone though. At the time and now, I think it was a fine pick. My only contention is how Bills fans are saying he's the next Kelce. The ceiling is very high and I'm optimistic that he will do well. But come on now let's see how it plays out. That's all I'm saying.
  21. Ok will do. Firstly, Buffalo is a small market while NY is a huge market. Thus, I believe the NFL would love to see the Jets do well. Generates more interest and revenue when a big market team is more successful. The Jets haven't made the playoffs in decades. The league would love nothing more than a Jet playoff appearance. Secondly, all eyes out on the Jets and Rodgers. The Jets on Hard Knox just amplifies things. Right now, they are the talk of the NFL. The darlings of the league. The refs are human and likely can be influenced by the Jets hype. Thirdly, the Jets are playing at home in front of what will be a wild, crazy, and frenzied fan base. The home field and crowd is more likely to influence the refs in the Jets favor. For example, questionable holds, not calling holds, and INTs calls. I think it's naive to think the home crowd doesn't influence the refs. The term "home job" confirms this. Just don't bet more than you can afford.
  22. Thank you for this post. This is exactly what I'm trying to convey. You said it so well. Realism is greatly appreciated!
  23. You are completely entitled to your opinion. No offense taken whatsoever. Nevertheless, I stand by what I said.
