Leonard is on track to be one of the greatest off-ball linebackers of all time. He’s the exception in todays NFL, not the standard. Nobody, not even Edmunds himself, is trying to say he’s as good as Leonard. Why not compare him to someone who (literally) plays in the exact same scheme, but has even more playmaking freedom than Edmunds?
Since 2018:
Edmunds - 4 INT, 2 FF, 5.5 sacks, 26 TFL, 463 tackles
Milano - 4 INT, 1 FF, 9.0 sacks, 38 TFL, 310 tackles
Not a big difference there if you ask me.
