I’ll admit my reaction was too harsh (especially since I don’t want either in the first round) but I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree. To me they both have similar ceilings as the MIKE in the McD’s system, but Campbell has a MUCH higher floor. If the Bills ran a 3-4 defense or wanted another Lorenzo style SAM/EDGE hybrid then give me Sanders all day every day. But talking strictly as an Edmunds replacement at MLB, I’d rather have Campbell and it’s not close.

So all I got from this is Sanders is much better at blitzing (which nobody disagrees with) and would be a better DE in a hypothetical scenario that will never happen. I’m really starting to warm up to the idea of taking Mazi Smith at 27 if all the premier offensive talent is off the board. Straight up monster against the run so him and Daquan would make life extremely easy on whoever is playing MLB next year. Also a freak athlete with long arms which means lots of upside as a pass rusher.

Because it’s a premium position AND a position of need. Just because you haven’t had success drafting it in recent years doesn’t mean you stop trying to get it right. I know it’s a hot take, but I would have absolutely zero issues with Beane drafting another DE (or even another DT) in the 1st round if they’re the BPA.

JSN, Addison, and Zay Flowers would all be starting slot WR week 1 if we drafted them

His route running is great and as well as his change of direction, YAC ability, hands, ball skills, and ability to find the soft spot in zone coverage. Lots of the best WRs of the past decade (Adams, Hopkins, Kupp, AB, Evans) didn’t have great athleticism either. If he falls down the board it’s gonna because teams want a “true #1 WR” and Njigba only played in the slot at Ohio State. Bills already have their #1 guy so I personally think he would be a home run pick if he somehow made it to 27.
