Our defensive front fails us every year in the playoffs. Especially against the elite QB’s. I’m not a fan of rotating the lineman in the playoffs. Find your best 4 and get after the damn QB. I really don’t know what more McDermott can do to beat this team I really don’t. This game had to be won up front and the defensive line once again failed to make Mahomes uncomfortable. No sacks. Only 2 QB hits. With the injuries to the LB’s and in the secondary we were already at a disadvantage. 3 times vs. Mahomes Once vs. Burrow Whenever we play the elite QB’s our front can never get home. EVER

McDermott had zero faith in the defense. He confirmed it in the presser but that call in that point of the game was idiotic. Better off just going for it

Depends on the injuries. I don’t think Bernard will be back in time for this game which is a big loss especially having to deal with Kelce and Pacheco. Hopefully Douglas and Taron Johnson can play if we down either of those guys or both, It’s going to be tough. Key to the game is going to be our Dline and Josh. Can they get pressure on Mahomes?? They haven’t been able to put any pressure on Mahomes the last two playoff meetings and he’s killed us. If that happens a 3rd time I don’t see us winning. If Mahomes is on point, is Josh going to stay disciplined long enough to not play hero ball. When Josh is pressing..that’s when the bad Josh comes out. If we can get pressure on Mahomes and Josh plays another clean game we win.

Going to a top program like Bama, he gets the opportunity to basically reboost his resume. It wasn’t working at UB so he downgraded to upgrade to a better job later down the road. Hopefully the AD at UB gets the next HC right.

A lot of those losses earlier in the season was due to the offense being bad. He fired Dorsey because of it. He doesn’t get credit for that?

Best coach since Levy. He addressed the Dorsey problem. He’s had a few blunders but his defense has kept us in games all year despite the offense being inconsistent. Still needs to be better at clock management but the team has rallied behind him especially after the Tyler Dunn article. IMO it’s his best coaching job in his tenure.

I don’t think Von fully recovered and came back too soon. He was so good before the injury. He doesn’t even look like the same player now. You could tell by the tone in McDermott voice at his presser today that something else could be goin on
