Rewatching the ravens game tonight
BigBillsFan replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen looked horrible in that game. The first half he only completed dump offs and was 3 or 11 or something close to that. It's games like this and NE he needs to improve the most. -
Really good manipulation to try to make the numbers work. You changed years 1 & 2 to 2 & 3 so Allen would be exempt from a real comparison. It's alright I fixed it for you: http://pfref.com/tiny/dIDkk Allen's real numbers apples to apples is below Jacoby Brissett and Mike Glennon but above Tannehill. Now to be fair to Allen I don't think holding 2018 against him would be fair. OC was horrible, drop city, and the #1 WR was lazy with no O-line.

A Compilation of Some of Josh's Bad? Throws
BigBillsFan replied to JESSEFEFFER's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see the angle, I don't see the touch, but pretending he did touch it from that angle it would lose speed and wobble. Neither of which happened. -
Looks like Josh has game on and off the field...
BigBillsFan replied to wiseman3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the reason everyone wants Allen to succeed. You can genuinely tell he loves his team and wants to be more than just a QB but a leader. Great post -
Actually you're proving my point inadvertently. The Patriots were 12-4 and Brady played horribly the 2nd half, and really most of the season. Those wins were not from Brady "winning" but the team winning DESPITE Tommy Boy. If the bar is "How does Josh rank in a few categories against a QB in a his worst year at 42 yrs old for context" then YES YOU WIN THE PRIZE. If the question is "How is Josh in the bottom 1/3rd of the most statistically significant categories 2 years in a row and why does that need context" then YOU LOSE.

Still wish he was our QB.

Big Ben is back - Steelers AFC North favorite?
BigBillsFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because QBs are more important to the success of a WR than the WR making the QB. His last playoff game he threw for almost 500 yards and a bunch of TDs. He's got the mental part of it, I doubt he'll have a major regression unless he gets injured. If he plays this year he'll be good for 4200+ yards and 25 TDs minimum. If that was Allen we would be having a heart-attack in excitement. -
Best 2 young QBs are black Best RB is white Best rapper last 20 years was white Best golfer last 20 years is black We are no longer in a brawn world, but a brains world. If you miss opportunity by hiring someone based on race you lose out. If an owner is going to hire someone based on race he losses millions. He hires mostly black athletes to begin with. GM "Mr. Owner we have a great WR but he's black" Owner: "Nope, I want a white one like Thielen. While you're at it find a white RB too." Seriously? That's how dumb you think owners are? There are more white coaches period, it's not a race thing. Most white guys who weren't athletes but loved sports became coaches. Most black coaches were once athletes, that's not true of guys like John Gruden or the Shanahans. The problem is at the top of the funnel, not the bottom. Most Sean McVays wanted to be a coach and studied their rears off in the teens and 20's, that's your competition. If this were really about race they would make the same quota for athletes but that's exceptionally dumb and everyone would scoff at it rightfully so.

Anybody want to go on record about Josh?
BigBillsFan replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
PREDICTION: He'll only be resigned if he is willing to take a Dalton like contract from the Bengals. If so yes. SPECULATION: I predict a slight regression in average QB salaries in the next 5 yrs. The top guys will get paid more than ever, but the rest of the pack will have a regression. Looking at how Beane plays his hand he likes to not overspend on 1 player because it puts too much pressure on the team and the draft. I can't see Josh being a great passer to justify the contract and if he's resigned it's because we're "winning" but let me also go on record that the W/L will change drastically without their ability to play defense like McDermott wants and if you want to see the great struggle between Bean and McD this will be the test. I'm also on record if the schedule holds up to be a hard one the coach will want to move from Allen if he doesn't massively step up. He's basically a liability as a passer with elite athletic ability at this point, so if he steps up as a passer we'll all be happy. -
The 2 passes could go against him too. He could complete 2 less passes. In other words you can't argue a hypothetical which didn't happen. A hypothetical is for things that haven't happened. Allen's biggest weakness is his mental processing. That's not easy to fix. In fact rarely if ever fixed. In the Dallas game post 1st quarter he threw amazingly precise passes. Something in his mental process was just ON, but the whole rest of the season with few exceptions that wasn't the case. He wasn't accurate like you'd expect a entrenched starter. Matt Moore had more timing on his passes last season. Point is he needs to be the Allen of Dallas and BETTER because even though we won, we weren't offensive juggernauts and throwing for 230 yards isn't all that impressive. It will win you enough games with a great defense, but you'll love more than you win if you are playing the Saints or Chiefs.

25 Best of all Time in the NFL !!
BigBillsFan replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok but we aren't talking about the Colts game, that's the problem. Every game that they won by 1 score or less could have been influenced previous to that game. Did you see their fumble rate that year and previous years? Stop looking at 1 game, and ask yourself if it helped every game before that one. Still doesn't eliminate videoing teams, frequencies, etc.. That's not historically good, it's historically cheating. They got busted just a few months ago. If it wasn't helping why are they doing it? Again, focusing on the Colts game is deflection. Would they have had home field advantage with some of their "wins"? Would those fumbles or increased production throwing helped them "win" games they might not have? Did it help their drop rate? The science is there: lowest drops and lowest fumbles by a wide margin, the margin so big it's impossible to deny. Look it up instead of throwing 1 game as if that's what we're discussing instead of a systemic system of corruption. -

It's not deflating footballs. Hell, I think that's a stupid part of the "cheating". Although their fumble rate was the lowest ever in the league by a whopping margin, but I digress. I call taping teams, using your radio frequencies to listen to plays, breaking their coms, having spies on walk-throughs, having a special frequency to the QB in his helmet, and placing people on top of roofs to spy pretty freaking serious and it's so serious the NFL BURNS THE EVIDENCE on the same day they receive it. And then their coaches know about it: Magini turned them in and McDaniel's getting caught doing it too. Then being caught in 2019 doing the same thing. Yeah pretty serious and it has nothing to do with footballs. -

Mental gymnastics of getting caught? hahaha Caught 3 times, evidence and records, assistants who become head coaches also cheating and busted. Yup, mental gymnastics. Nothing they were busted for was "accpetable". That's mental gymnastics. -

Minus his cheating he's been to no Superbowls and won nothing. Cheatriots... they deserve no praise. -
Sorry to bust your bubble but I think most of us would give him more leeway as a QB if he wasn't in the bottom 3rd of so many QB categories. The same would be true if QBs new contracts weren't so high against the cap. Let's say he has moderate progression from last year. Are you willing to allocate what will be Prescott money at $35 mil a year for level production? Against who? Bengals, Jets, Giants and I forgot the 4th but 3 of those 4 sucked and it wasn't like a comeback in the scheme of 2 heavy hitters, but some of the worst teams in the league. The Chiefs coming back in the 2nd quarter from a massive deficit in the 2nd quarter against the Titans is far more meaningful because of the deficit and what was required than 1 score games against bad teams. I watched him against the Pats and the Ravens and I didn't see anything special in the 4th quarter.

Who is your favorite all times Bills player and why?
BigBillsFan replied to BuffBills51's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fred Jackson 100% No one played harder. In the final pre-season with us when he had that 30+ yard run and stiff armed that guy into oblivion personifies everything I love about him -
