  1. Just saw this on CBS. Do the Browns really like Allen? 1. Cleveland Browns ............... Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming: There is an argument the Browns could not take a quarterback after getting Tyrod Taylor, but getting Taylor makes it even easier to stand up at the top of the draft and take a quarterback who you don't need to play right away. Allen mimicks the Chiefs draft of Patrick Mahomes very nicely. 2. New York Giants ...............Quenton Nelson, OL, Notre Dame: Dave Gettleman is going to stay here and take a blue-chip player who can help the Giants right away. It will either be Nelson or Barkley, and after missing out on Andrew Norwell in free agency, he leans for the nasty Notre Dame guard. 3. Buffalo Bills (via MOCK TRADE with Indianapolis Colts) ................Sam Darnold, QB, USC: A really well-played offseason by the Bills here, as a slew of trades and movements ultimately results in them being able to package a bunch of picks, move up and grab their quarterback of the future. Legions of draftniks shriek about Darnold's tiny little hands in the harsh Buffalo weather. 4. Cleveland Browns (via Houston Texans) .................Bradley Chubb, DE, NC State: Tough choice here between Chubb and Barkley, but the Browns land the best player in the draft at No. 4 and suddenly they are cooking with GAS on their defensive line. 5. Denver Broncos ................Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma: The Broncos signed Case Keenum in free agency and gave him a lot of money but that certainly doesn't prohibit them from drafting someone else at the top. John Elway's been all over Mayfield this offseason. 6. New York Jets ...............Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA: The Jets definitely can't be ruled out from taking a quarterback either, despite grabbing Teddy Bridgewater and Josh McCown in free agency. 7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers ..................Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State: This feels crazy. Barkley's considered a potential top pick in this draft. But if the Colts trade down and the Giants don't take him, he could fall. The Buccaneers cut Doug Martin and might swoop on this.
  2. Lots of "experts" are saying that the Browns have decided to go QB. I want to get to 3 so we have a guarantee at either Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield. If we get to 4, there is always a chance teams could trade up to 2 and 3 and take a QB before Buffalo has a chance; its not likely, but there is always a chance.
  3. Belicheck didn't want anyone to believe Beane bested him on McCarron and Murphy so he planted the story.
  4. Need to get to 3 to gave a chance at Darnold, Mayfield, and Rosen. Get to 4 and they may consider Allen.
  5. Broncos looking for more picks. Hope it's not to move up.
  6. They're looking for more picks to move up to get their QB. My opinion.
  7. Wentz is the obvious starter and future, right? Foles probably will not play much at all next year. Wouldn't this be about the only (best) time to get some value out of Foles? Also, aren't the Eagles high on backup QB Nate Sudfeld?
  8. He's not sitting around waiting for someone to call. He's weighing his options and will likely sign soon.
  9. I just discovered it. I'm getting too old I guess.
  10. Was Twitter the go to source last year? So much info this year it seems.
  11. Their new GM has first hand knowledge of him.
  12. John Brown? Is he still available?
  13. Is it too late to change out Paul Richardson for someone else?
  14. I'm guessing Sam Bradford (qb) and Paul Richardson (wr) will be signed by the end of the day.
  15. Funny that if Mayfield was 2 or 3 inches taller, everyone would want him at the 1st pick. Hard to imagine what 2 more inches will do for you. Actually 6' 1" is tall for my neck of the woods.
  16. I wish we could move up AND keep the 22nd, but that seems unlikely. It also seems like most of these big trade up into the top 5, happen on draft day or draft week, right? Seems a bit early to be trading into the top 5. Has it ever happened this early before?
  17. I learned my lesson a long time ago, that I should trust the real NFL talent evaluators, and not go with my own fan based opinion. When the choice was who is better, Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf, I thought it was an easy decision. Manning looked slow and unimpressive to my untrained eye. Ryan Leaf on the other hand, reminded me of Dan Marino for some reason. I have never been so wrong before, so I'm going to just trust Beane and the front office and support their decision, as long as it isn't that midget Baker Mayfield (kidding).
  18. I'm not a big game film guy, but why are soooo many against Allen? Why do soooo many real NFL draft guys like him? Am I wrong in saying that Brett Favre had a big arm in college, but was risky because he was not accurate and was a gun slinger? I'm going to trust the professionals and if they choose Josh Allen, I'm going to trust they know what they are doing. They have seen HOURS and HOURS of film on these guys and have spent HOURS interviewing the player, coaches, family, friends, teachers, etc. They have TONS of scouts giving their opinions on these guys, and if they choose Josh Allen, I think we should give them the benefit of the doubt.
  19. I'm starting to change from wanting Rosen to wanting Mayfield.
  20. That is not beer.
