ProFootball Weekly Greg Gabriel QB ranks for 2018 draft
PIZ replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is from his ProFootball Weekly draft magazine. -
Greg Gabriel has his QBs ranked: 1st Round 1. Mayfield. 2. Darnold. 3. Rosen. 4. Rudolph. 2nd Round 5. Jackson. 3rd Round 6. Lauletta. 7. Allen. 8. Falk.
-
We have no idea. They may like Rudolph, Jackson, or Lauletta. Allen may even be there at 12. They may rank all of these guys higher than we think. Beane did say "why are we looking at this guy. We can't get him at 21.". He got to 12 and they knew they could get him. That makes me think it's one of the guys above, because they are going to take him sooner than other teams would. Read that they love Lauletta.
-
He may have already tried and it's possible everyone is staying put. We may have to settle for #12. Lamar Jackson may be our QB of the future or they may stay at 12 and get Roquan Smith and get a QB they like (like Lauletta or White) later. There are no guarantees that they can trade up into the top 5; only a Ditka move would guarantee that.

D Jeremiah: Bills #1 team likely to draft a QB. Hears we like Allen
PIZ replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
... Rudolph or Jackson could be the pick at 12. Something tells me the NFL guys think more highly of them than the experts at TBD. Jackson would be electric and could he eased into it, and play in spurts as a rookie to give the team a spark. -
Josh Rosen: will he want to play here? ESPN discusses

[Vague Title]This needs to be said.....

I always wondered where the rankings actually start. Say Lamar Jackson goes top 10 or RB Chubb goes top 5. Everyone is shocked. But what if the real NFL guys rank these guys differently than we all assume? So what if the media has it all wrong? Allen might go in the 3rd round, and we'd be shocked, but the NFL guys may all feel he is a 3rd prospect. I feel like these NFL guys are all playing us for fools. -
Holy $#!+ - looks like I'm going to the draft!

Awesome. Take lots of pics. One of my dreams is to go to the draft. Lucky you. -
Who else really wants a first round MLB?

I tried doing a poll, but apparently I don't know how to do that, as I keep getting errors. If you want a true answer, create a poll asking: Who would you rather have, in the following scenarios?: Josh Rosen - QB (trade up and give up picks). Roquan Smith - LB (stay at 12 and keep all of your picks). -
RB Will Not Be a 2018 Draft Priority

Not sure I believe this. The Bills were heavily scouting the RBs at the senior bowl. There are some good ones this year. -
First Pick @ 12 - Not a QB? How 'bout Vita?
PIZ replied to Houston's #1 Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is there any chance that the trade up to 12 is the only trade up that Beane wanted to get his QB? I have a sneaky suspicion that Mason Rudolph is the guy they are targeting, and they feel he wouldn't be there at 21, as Arizona may take him or Pittsburgh (they had tons of reps at his Pro Day, which could be a smokescreen). I thought the knock on him was his arm, but I read an article by Greg Gabriel that said he had a strong arm? -
I wouldn't be surprised if Rudolph goes top 20. Steelers had a ton of reps there to see him, and could trade up.
-
Based on all the moves that Beane has made this offseason, I am going to trust and believe in the QB he selects. Beane is unreal. The man got a 3rd round pick for Tyrod Taylor for crying out loud, and used a guy who barely played last year to trade up to the number 12 pick. He solidified the dline in one day. If he selects Josh Allen, I am going to believe he knows more than we do.
-
Yep.
-
What would you then do with 7 and 12? Stay put? Draft who? I like keeping the 2nd round picks.
-
I'm thinking the same. I have a feeling his guy is not a guy we have been hoping for. I hope we get a QB and a guy like Harrison Phillips or some big OL (we are thin).
-
I can't stand Elway. I hope we trade up for the guy he wants. Hope it's not Mayfield though.... seriously reminds me of a brat my wife babysat, and I can't root for that. Rosen or Darnold.
-
Thoughts on this? No trade up and get Josh Allen (QB - Wyoming) at 12 and James Daniels (C - Iowa) at 22. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/mock-drafts?icampaign=draft-sub_nav_bar-drafteventpage-mockdraft

The more I read about these "top" QB prospects, the more I don't like them. Mayfield reminds me of an annoying little kid that my wife used to babysit, so he is now off my board. I'm starting to lean towards Roquon Smith at 12 and Lamar Jackson at 22.
-
It is quite possible. No one really knows accept the Bills. If they stay at 12 they could have their pick from one of the below. If they pick one, I could say them trade up a little from 22 to get a QB like Lamar Jackson or possibly someone drops.....I really could see Josh Allen drop, Tremaine Edmunds, LB, Virginia Tech Derwin James, S, Florida State Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama Harold Landry, EDGE, Boston College Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State

Denver sent 3 people, including Elway and Vance Joseph. Not sure who the 3rd was.
