Great article. He looks terrible in a Jets uniform. -
Closest NFL comparison to Mason Rudolph... Tom Brady
PIZ replied to Troll Toll's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Steelers or Patriots would love to have him. Rudulph replace Big Ben Here is Tom Brady's draft profile: Tom Brady Positives: Good height to see the field. Very poised and composed. Smart and alert. Can read coverages. Good accuracy and touch. Produces in big spots and in big games. Has some Brian Griese in him and is a gamer. Generally plays within himself. Team leader. Negatives: Poor build. Very skinny and narrow. Ended the '99 season weighing 195 pounds and still looks like a rail at 211. Looks a little frail and lacks great physical stature and strength. Can get pushed down more easily than you'd like. Lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush. Lacks a really strong arm. Can't drive the ball down the field and does not throw a really tight spiral. System-type player who can get exposed if he must ad-lib and do things on his own. Summary: Is not what you're looking for in terms of physical stature, strength, arm strength and mobility, but he has the intangibles and production and showed great Griese-like improvement as a senior. Could make it in the right system but will not be for everyone. -
Agreed. People are letting past regimes ruin the excitement of this draft. This isn't Doug Whaley running the draft. I'm truly excited to see what Beane will do. Whatever he does will be the best for the Buffalo Bills. People will someday realize how awesome it is to have a GM and front office that works with a purpose and a plan. What the Jets did, trading to #3, 40 days before the draft, shows incompetence and recklessness. It is either that, or ownership interfered and forced them to make that trade now.
-
Beane is still the man. The Jets may have traded up to get ahead of Buffalo, but doing it 40 days before the draft was stupid. Maybe they just did it to guarantee a shot at 1 of the 3, but 40 days before the draft? Anyone who doesn't think Beane has a plan, is ignorant. Look at the picks he has to work with. Either he drafts a ton of top players, or uses them to target a QB he wants, possibly at 2. Round 1: 12 (from Cincinnati) Round 1: 22 (from Kansas City) Round 2: 53 Rohbd 2: 56 (from Los Angeles Rams) Round 3: 65 (from Cleveland) Round 3: 96 (from Philadelphia) Round 4: 121 Round 5: 166 Round 6: 187 (from Cincinnati)

I think the Bills have interest in moving up to 2, but they won't make a deal until they see what Cleveland does. One, the Giants may want to stay and take their guy. Two, Buffalo wants to be sure their guy is there. I would imagine Beane and Gettleman have a deal in place, if the Bills guy is there and the Giants are willing to move down. Doubtful Gettleman would make a trade with anyone else, without first giving Beane a chance to counteroffer.

Greg Gabriel Scouting Report:. Mayfield & Rudolph
PIZ replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we're getting close to convincing you it is OK that we are not getting Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield. If that QB room doesn't excite you, this should: Round 1: 12 (from Cincinnati) Round 1: 22 (from Kansas City) Round 2: 53 Rohbd 2: 56 (from Los Angeles Rams) Round 3: 65 (from Cleveland) Round 3: 96 (from Philadelphia) Round 4: 121 Round 5: 166 Round 6: 187 (from Cincinnati) This draft is going to be a blast. So, the Jets get Rosen or Mayfield, but not much else. Look at the picks we have. We get Rudolph, who I think could be a stud, and fits McDermott's and Beane to a T, plus all these picks. Imagine if they hit on all of them, or even half of them. -
Greg Gabriel Scouting Report:. Mayfield & Rudolph

Mayock thinks Rudolph could be a good fit in New England, to sit behind Brady. https://www.diehards.com/oklahoma-state/mason-rudolph-tom-brady-combine/amp?__twitter_impression=true -
Greg Gabriel (former NFL guy) likes Rudolph. www.buffalosportspage.com/greg-gabriels-scouting-reports-mayfield-rudolph/

Is Rudolph a fit for Daboll's offense? Mayfield could be in play in a trade up and Rudolph could go #12. Not sure why you guys dislike him so much. I bet Arizona and Pittsburgh would love to have him. www.buffalosportspage.com/greg-gabriels-scouting-reports-mayfield-rudolph/ https://www.buffalosportspage.com/greg-gabriels-scouting-reports-mayfield-rudolph/

Ok. So since we haven't seen any links or tweets about Bills talking trade with the Giants, then I guess that's not happening then, right? I really think we only hear what they want us to hear, which means either (1) no trade up to 2 because the Giants are not moving or (2) they talked to the Giants and have a deal, depending on who is available at 2.
-
Do we really know this was true? Seems we only ever "hear" what they want us to hear. Didn't hear anything about Tyrod trade or Glenn trade until it happened. Didn't hear about the Jets talking to Indy. So, we are to believe that Beane or Indy (didn't leak the Jets talks) let everyone know they were talking trade? I think all the "experts" got hyped up because of the Tyrod and Glenn trades and thought "holy crap, Buffalo is going for Rosen or Top 3 pick!!!!!". When in reality they were likely trading those guys to get some cap relief and to trade up enough to get a top 15 pick.

He's going top 20.

Is it possible Jets are targeting Allen instead of Rosen?
PIZ replied to LA Grant's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Darnold is the price. -
I wonder if the Bills went after McCarron after they realized they were not going to be able to trade up to 1, 2, 3, or 4.

Mayock has Allen as his #2 QB behind Darnold. I think the Bills have Allen #1. -
Unfortunately the draft will probably go like this..

Any chance that the Broncos trade up to get Mayfield or Allen? -
Sad, but if we want a QB we have to trade up or take one at 12. QB needy teams will overvalue the QBs and they may not be there at 22.

Do we know for sure that the Jets want Rosen? I like Rosen, but he is a risky pick.
