  1. Correct, but they still need a QB. Tua + O scheme + great D == success most likely. Tua is the wildcard here.
  2. I can see the marketing slogan of Van Ness Monster already. I'm in the wrong line of business.
  3. I agreed with all else that you wrote except for this. NE is a wildcard with a retread OC, and they will presumably be better. Tua? Who knows? Jets? Probably not, but who knows?
  4. I wonder what would've happened here if the Bills hired Payton. This assumes, of course, that Wilson is still interested in actually playing the game of football, rather than marketing being a football player above all else. He was not good, and maybe Payton is a Franciscan, who through missionary work can make miracles happen.
  5. The Dolphins? Really?! Who knows what they'll get out of Tua going forward (godspeed to that guy as concussions are no joke)? I agree with you that the Bills, based on performance from the second half of the season through the playoffs, seem light years behind KC and the Bengals.
  6. If only the issue was QB coach. McD, unlike many of his predecessors, is not a clown, and actually built something where the team has been competitive for consecutive years for the first time in, like, forever. However, the end of the season, which for anybody who was paying attention throughout, ended with that expected thud, and once again without a chance to win the SB. Players coming out and saying that they were done means that the team doesn't need a new QB coach. It means that it needs a new HC, and a new regime from there on down. It appears that's it isn't going to happen, and that's fine 'cause I have zero say in it, but it really should. When you look at the drop off between KC, Cinn, and Buffalo, it's significant.
  7. As a joke, I recommended that they draft EJM. As a callback, I recommended giving up picks for Watkins. har har.
  8. Would love to know who The_Dude is here now. Like I wrote before, really liked the guy, no matter his take on Bortles. HAHA.
  9. I must've missed THAT one. Oh, I remember now. I changed jobs to a tech/sales role, and was basically on the road 4 days per week. So I kinda worked a LOT and lost touch with BBMB on the daily. And then it disappeared, at a time where all I wanted to do was to drink my coffee, read BBMB after another nauseating game, poop emoji, shower, then get out of Dodge to come back home. @jrober38 continued his schtick here until JA17 proved himself to be good. If memory serves, @jrober38 apologized for his doubts, got the badfinger from several people here, and hasn't been heard from since. @The_Dude was here for a bit, I guess a bunch a people left a few years ago or something, and haven't seen him since, well, not unless he's contributing under a different name. @The_Dude was a smart guy, and was also a riot, if I recall. But he also said that a suitable replacement for EJM would be... Blake Bortles. So there is that.
  10. I wonder if jeffismagic is here as well? He was fun too.
  11. I was more of a lurker than anything, but I remember five things: Diesel-USMC, after watching EJM play QB for this team, would constantly write these lengthy essays that insisted EJM would be fine. Oops! Diesel-USMC was then accused of stolen valor, yet nobody was banned, which was odd because the mods were always banning some person or another. @jrober38 and @The_Dude went on massive crusades against EJM, like hundreds and hundreds of pages, and were never banned, well, until they were. I used to enjoy reading their screeds over my morning coffee. And then @jrober38diversified and suggested that the Bills should bring Cutler on board, and that Jameis Winston and Carson Wentz were bluechip players. Again, loved reading it. The hour I spent each morning reading the absurdity of it all -- showed me a bunch of people who had too much time on their hands. BBMB had a rule (TOS) about being banned if you got banned then returned under another username. Well, @jrober38did it when he returned as spursfan. It was clear for all to see, and I got to enjoy the show for a second time, and spursfan wasn't banned before BBMB was shut down, but goddamn. I once decided to troll a couple of the people mentioned above by appearing with the nickname of VealCutlerWillSaveUsAll, and got banned in about a week. Interesting choice in moderation, and frankly, glad that BBMB is gone. We're all better off. One poster asked if EJM was the most divisive Bills' player ever. Really?!
  12. I can't believe the number of 6 baggers this teams plays. Wow! I'm fair weather, as indicated earlier (like way earlier) in this thread, but goddamn. When I get a chance to see the Sabres with an offensive output like this, I'm kinda thinking that there's something here. The Hasek years... were largely Hasek, but this is something different. Can't believe what I'm seeing, but am thoroughly enjoying these games as I get to see them.
  13. Wang Chung "To Live and Die in L.A.". Didn't really care for the band, but yeah, the B-side of this one is simply incredible.
  14. Real Genius. A house filled with popcorn and a bouncy girl in a sweater during the end credits? I'm totally in. Wait, you ask, aren't you happily married? My wife likes the Thor guy from MCU, and I enjoy the bouncy lady, ok?
  15. Bingo! Such an easy recipe and a crowd pleaser. We used to shop at Broadway Market and Federal Meats ahead of the holidays, and many a time a new guest at our table would marvel at the simplicity and deliciousness of this recipe.
  16. Best Interview Ever. I was kinda hoping that he would turn into Bill Parcells when he was here, but EJM, not being a good coach, walking away with loot, nope. Still, this interview tickles me to this day. It's the best. My father in law introduced me to it, and I admit that I love the back story as well. After his career (retired) as an iron worker, my father in law took up making gourmet meals at home. Watching a guy with hands that look like anvils make a souffle or judiciously use blue cheese is a thing of beauty.
  17. Thanks for joining TBD, Coach Marrone!
  18. I'm going with City Chicken, a family favorite of ours' in WNY each Christmas season. And the beautiful thing is that no chicken was harmed in the making of this dish: only pigs and baby cows. https://mylifecookbook.com/moms-city-chicken/ Not my recipe, but very close to the way my mom used to make it.
  19. To their credit, they never talked about the expiry date of bologna, but otherwise I agree.
  20. I always liked the other Harbaugh better. He has funner pants.
  21. You can't? Seems kinda on brand this evening.
  22. Disagree. I believe that he was wearing pants the whole time.
  23. It's not like we haven't witnessed his body of work firsthand.
