Who do hope the Bengals DONT draft with pick 28 after the Bills?

Yes. That is how the draft works. Thanks for your insight. -
Pre-Draft: Bills already much better than last year
Chaos replied to khlax3's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills already were the best or near the best at some incredbly important metrics. Wins - near the best. But the gap from Best to near the best is huge due to the playoff rules. The improved AFC East vs the previously highly over rated AFC West makes it unlikely the Bills will improve to the best record. Offense - Near the best overall. Fewest punts in season. #1 PFF rated QB. #1-3 by most meaningful statistical categories. There really is not meaningful room for increased production from the QB position. Point production was pretty solid too. I know we fantasize about winning games 41-38 (and we can), but there are only so many possessions in a game, and the Bills are pretty good already at turning possessions into points. Where the Bills ranked worst or near the worst last year was 1) translating regular season success into playoff success 2)injury luck. The only meaningful move the Bills made to address (1) is to become the only NFL team without a named DC. As a general rule novelty does not translate into success in the NFL. Hopefully injury luck is better. But the big four on defense, White, Miller, Poyer and Hyde all enter this season with a worse injury history than they entered last season. White in particular is a glaring potential giant success or huge dud. Last year the expectation at the beginning of the season was that White would come back, get a few games in and be the old great Pre-2022 Tre White. That never happened. White did not even flash glimpses of his old self last year. He he returns to pre-2022 form, that will be the biggest improvement on the team. If he stays at 2022 form, the team has cornerback problem. -
Who do hope the Bengals DONT draft with pick 28 after the Bills?

Its a small sample, but it is interesting to me that a sizable group of people on this board want the Bills to pick Jack Campbell, but no one will feel bad if we pass and the Bengals pick him. -

Good one. Added to the choices. -
Who do hope the Bengals DONT draft with the pick after the Bills? Bengals are our new rivals, since we can't get by them. They own pick 28 right after the Bills. It seems inevitable some TBD posters are going to be sad that the Bengals picked the players they wanted the Bills to pick. This poll is to determine who you don't want the Benglas with the 28th pick.

Florio raises an excellent question:
Chaos replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Superior coaching is an important part of the recipe. Rex Ryan isn't winning super bowls with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. -
I classify Groot Boogie and Espenza as diffferent than Bruce Smith or Von Miller.

List 9 QBs teams would rather have than Allen. Please wear a dunce cap until you put your list together. -
Kiper and McShay mock draft ???????????????????

Simpson ahead of Myles murphy seems like a mistake. -
I guess that is a different thing. Sanders gets the same grade as these prospects, using that metric.
-
Not sure they just throw it together. I read recently (can't find the article) that the NFL.com grades actually correlate the best among prognasticators in predicting actual NFL success. (Always outliers in any system, and Sanders could be an outlier). Here is a graphic they have of the model

He was not invited to the draft by the NFL. I thought that was interesting.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Chaos replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The new question i s why should Jackson get more guaranteed than Hurts. Watson market is outdated. Hurts is the current market. -
Watching 8 offensive lineman plus Brian Branch go off the board between Drew Sanders and Cedric Tillman feels like a depressing TV show. Anthony Bradford at 90 is a bit of a shocker. I was hoping the Bills could grab him at 205

The biggest problem the next Bills MLB faces is comparisions by fans and the local press to the mythical Tremaine Edmunds. The actual Edmunds the player was a solid player who in five years has no real legacy of games dominated or game changing plays. He did miss a lot of tackles, and seem to be out of position quite a bit, particularly earlier in career. He was good, maybe very good. The mythical Edmunds when he was playing here was a guy who was going to revolutionize the position and change the way teams thought about linebacker. Our new Defensive Coordinator Sean McDermott amplified this theme (and laid the ground work for the post edmunds mythical edmumnds when he commented "Tremaine Edmunds can't be replaced". After 7 or 8 games of AJ Klein playing MLB (Klein is clearly not as good as Edmunds") , the the mthyical Edmunds will be some combination of Dick Butkus, Ray Lewis and Lawrence Taylor (with Dieon Sanders like coverage skills built in). Compared to the mythical edmunds, Klein (or any other replacement) is going to be villified by fans.

Bills offense punts less than any team in the league. This means we move the ball better than anyone else between the 20's. Bills redzone was ninth in the NFL last year. Which ever offensive player improves that Redzone result the most, should be the target. That seems like online to me. But it could be TE just as easily as WR.

This statistic may explain why we love Diggs, and don't like Davis so much. This shows the differential between the Bills overall passer rating and the passer rating when each receiver is targeted. The top ten on this list surprised me a bit (min 40 targets). Maybe Jerry Jeudy is better than I give him credit for and I might be a bit sadder about Isaiah Hodges than I was before I ran these stats.
