  1. The problem is he knows his philosophy results in his defense getting shredded by good teams in the playoffs...yet he still sticks with this failed philosophy McDermott, like some posters here are fine with being a contender that has a punchers chance if they get some luck against a team like KC or Philly
  2. I think that Diggs has a negative affect on Josh. His two worst games the past two seasons have been this one and the Texans game I think Josh feels some sort of pressure when he sees him on the opposing team and it brings out the worst version of Josh
  3. And it's why ownership will keep McDermott which is why Josh will never win a SB Imagine accepting having the best QB possibly ever and seeing a SB win as a bonus Anyone that thinks the way you described has no spine Full Stop
  4. Analytics doesn't take into account what we all knew, which was that the defense wouldn't be able to stop the other team from scoring...which they obviously did
  5. The Patriots didn't impress me at all They proved they can steal an ugly game where they had massive help from the zebras...that's it Our defense did it's normal collapse when we needed a stop. That happens against any opponent
  6. Truest statement made on this board, and most will refuse to acknowledge it This Bills team is vastly superior to this Pats team, but Vrabel with a little help in the first half mucked it up enough to allow them to have a chance which we all know how that goes
  7. He's doing what the coaches want him to do They play a soft defense that teams carve up routinely when it counts
  8. That's McDermotts defensive philosophy We've seen it for years...
  9. Should've canned McDermott when Vrabel was available Now Sean is getting his ass handed to him by a lesser team
  10. Could've signed DK for the cost of Palmer and the two PED bums
  11. I called it earlier The constant penalties kill drives and kill the crowd also It's an intentional strategy to make this a tight game
  12. Refs trying to sap the energy from the stadium to favor the Pats Super obvious
  13. Play looked like a disaster from the moment I saw it
  14. Had the fastest measured speed so far this season on a 87 yard TD clocking in at 21.7 MPH Would be a nice move
  15. McDermott won't do anything unless he feels heat for his own job. That's when he uses his coaches as scapegoats and sacrifices them. But the concern is real, and it might take a few brutal losses to actually put pressure on McDermott to act As others have said...with the team winning, he isn't going to do anything...even though we all see that there is some real issues and that this unit seems worse than last season.
  16. Pretty sure the Eagles got a first for him
  17. I was one for drafting Worthy and Coleman if you go back and read my posts prior to the draft, but I do have major doubts as to whether Worthy will hold up with his slight build and frame. Coleman will end up being a good player, but ultimately Worthy depending on health I think would've been a better pick due to the lack of a true speedster/deep threat to make teams play with their safeties back
  18. Not just what you said, but Hoecht and Ogunjobi are not starters. So really you have three potential starters (I assume Hairston starts) that are missing, so it's really about just over a quarter of the starting defense as opposed to that posters claim of nearly half
  19. Lamar is about as low IQ as they come. That being said...he has figured out how to play the game and the QB position better than I would have ever imagined him doing, so in that regard he does deserve some credit. I think it does show in in crucial spots like lastnight and against top teams/playoffs, but more than less he is scary to go up against. On the other hand, I still say the talent around him (mostly Henry) is what elevated him and has given him easy reads and open receivers for the most part. He will never be equals with the top passers at the position regardless of the stats, but in this day and age you'll have those that will simply use the stats argument and will proclaim him the best
  20. Don't care. McDermott has a defense problem, and his philosophy of having guys that have less ability and skill but fit what he wants from a mental and attitude standpoint isn't working. Go and get a guy that has an edge and that makes plays instead of slow guys that can't
  21. I didn't say a word about what they did defensively lastnight My concern is will they be the same defense we've seen come playoff time
  22. I'm fine with the mistake free, conservative offense that doesn't have alot of flash to it. My real issue...and I'm not really too upset with it now, but once we get to later in the season and the playoffs we can't have the same McDermott defense we've had ever since he's been coach here. They need to be more aggressive and they have to be able to stop the run without selling out to do it. I expect that McDermotts defense will fail when it matters most, and that would be an unacceptable result to me...especially given the investment into the defense.
  23. Meh I would hold off on any real criticism until this team stops scoring points and dominating TOP I believe alot of this is to control the game and keep some things under wraps until later in the season...at least I hope so. I don't like the give up plays short of the sticks on 3rd downs as much as anyone, but this team's philosophy is play mistake free and make the other team beat you instead of you beating yourself, and it's been very successful. Hopefully, they use the conservative style to their advantage later in the season when teams start expecting it
  24. Pete the cheat as HC and Tom "the deflator" Brady make one hell of a tandem. Kinda funny how Tom is now pushing the boundaries like Belicheat did all those years
  25. I would pump the brakes on this guy until we have played a majority of games. Not sure some of you actually know just how injury prone this guy has been, or if we are ignoring it for the time being, but flexing about Bosa being a great signing is very premature at this point
