  1. Wonder if you'll feel the same way when you have to pay an average player 18 mil+ after the season. I'd much rather pay a proven elite LT over Dawkins, but it's time to move on now.
  2. missed opportunity to upgrade our line and protect Allen.
  3. I would've traded Dawkins for him str8 up
  4. Notice they said winners of the "off season"...not the draft.
  5. Nobody is going to include Diggs into their evaluations of draft winners or losers, so it's kind of a moot point doing so. All I know is I'm happy with the Diggs acquisition and I think we have made two good picks so far.
  6. I agree that the Oline is the weakest link on the team and with this being a crucial season for Josh Allen and with the upgrades we added to the offense, it could be a massive failure if the line isn't much improved. I have hopes that they are better with continuity, the addition of Diggs, and the growth of Ford/more competition brought in, but I'm still definitely concerned we didn't do enough.
  7. Just finished watching his tape. Number one...he's definitely faster than his forty. Numerous plays where he broke away and couldn't be caught. He has the ability to take it to the house. Second...he is unphased by arm tackles. He literally runs through them without even having an impact on him. Fantastic addition, and he will definitely challenge Singletary for more snaps. Should be a great battle that makes a great two headed monster!
  8. I don't get a few posters here asking if Trent Williams would even be an upgrade...is that some kind of joke? Trent Williams is vastly superior to Dawkins. He was possibly the best LT in the game just a couple years ago, and he's now had some time to let his body heal. I'm not a big fan of Dawkins, and I do not wanna pay him franchise LT money in the future. I'd swap him for Trent Williams no questions asked. I'd offer him a 3 year extension worth around 16/yr with good guaranteed money and the line is significantly upgraded.
  9. This kid loves punishing the defense and watching them give up late in games. That is a beautiful thing!
  10. This guy may not be a sack master, but he will disrupt and put pressure on the QB while doing a good job against the run. Hard to hate on the pick
  11. I'll take Shaq Lawson 2.0 all day at pick 54...especially when we need young guys at the position.
  12. This Dline is gonna be fresh with guys rotating as much as I think they will...
  13. Too much risk if season goes south due to injuries/unforeseen circumstances for me to pull the trigger on such a deal.
  14. So you're not fully invested at this point???
  15. How dumb are the Jags to not take the 19th pick for this guy? I'd consider that a huge win given his contract demands and unwillingness to play for them. Fools
  16. So I read the article, and I also read the Q and A with Kim. Seems like the writer is looking to bash them from the way it's written. There's some stuff that doesn't look good, for sure. I've always hated the nepotism garbage, but it's pretty much SOP for these big companies. Bottom line for me is don't let it affect our Bills! Hopefully they learn from the mistakes like Kim claims...they get their house in order, and this fades away once the country gets back to business as usual.
  17. Part of me agrees with this. I believe in Allen, and I think he would be even more motivated (if possible) to seperate himself from the other guy...whoever that may be. I think we are doing this team a disservice by not having a backup that can win games and possibly push the starter. This team is too good and too deep to be let down by the QB position.
  18. In McDermott's system, I believe it's easier to find corners that can play their part in a zone based scheme. That being said, Tre White has above average ball skills and instincts, and is also solid playing man. He's a valuable piece, but I could see the argument being made to eventually move on from him at a certain price with a replacement being groomed.
  19. And this is where I truly question his value in this scheme. Remember McD also had Norman who was shut down in Carolina, and they let him walk cause they didn't value him at the money he was seeking. Tre is great, and has great ball skills. With that said, I wonder if Beane and McDermott do not see his value as high as others here do, and that they may eventually let him go. Just something I've thought about...
  20. I'd honestly rather have Brown than Cooks at this point considering the money and injury conerns.
  21. If Tre White decides he needs to go somewhere else (I don't believe this FTR), then he doesn't buy I'm here and fit the culture, so I would shop him in that case. Not that I want that, but if he really wanted to go somewhere else and further his career, I would understand.
  22. Boy...this JaCrispy guy is always in on Allen threads being a downer. What's up with that, my dude????
  23. I agree that I don't see a ton of hate on these boards in regards to Allen. What I do see is a ton of hate by media...particularly ESPN. It's fine to have doubts still, and I can understand why some would. He shows inaccuracy at times, and his deep ball wasn't very good. Those are things that will draw criticism and rightfully so. But I look at it from the perspective that he wasn't in a good college program...as evidenced by his first season with Bills compared to his second season. What we saw was clear evidence that a solid coaching staff can help him make major strides. So with that in mind, and the belief that improvement should continue...especially with upgrades to his line and receivers, let's look at the other parts of his game like his toughness and running ability. He's a serious goal line and short yardage weapon. He's a leader on and off the field, and he is determined to work to improve his game. So while some see the flaws and hold onto the narrative that was given to him coming into the league, I see a kid that should only get better and that has given me no reason to believe he will not continue to get better and lead this team to a championship.
