  1. Lots of them? Not a chance, my friend.
  2. There's also sentiment out there that Hopkins is losing a step and his practice habits are less than ideal, while Diggs is an extremely hard worker. Just what I've seen reported...
  3. It's only a matter of when, not if with this guy. Not a big fan of bringing in oft injured players, but we'll see what we get from him...
  4. Deep balls are the one pass that I'm ok with Josh leaving up enough for both the WR and the DB to make a play on it. It's basically a punt if the DB gets it, but it's huge if our guy comes up with it. If Allen was throwing the deep ball with the intention of defenders not having a chance to make a play on it, then I think that's the wrong way to look at it. Give your guy a chance. If the defender is somehow able to make a play on it, oh well.
  5. Also don't ignore the Miami life becoming the undoing of a career
  6. I understand where this post is coming from, and I also have some reservations about this signing. I also see the possible positives. I think they are gonna show them what they did with Phillip's and tell him they can get the best out of him as well. He has the tools, and they had a chance to evaluate him his rookie season, so they must like him as a fit for what they wanna do. Now I also see another Carolina defensive linemen getting paid more than what he appears to have shown he deserves, and he was a bust in Carolina...that is a concern. I am choosing to believe in McDermott, Beane, and our Dline coach that they will get him to play to his potential, but it could definitely be another Star situation where he doesn't live up to his contract.
  7. I think getting Hopkins or Diggs would've made his decision a bit tougher, but I don't necessarily think it would've got him to stay there.
  8. This dude is cooked. Let him mail it in on someone else's dime
  9. He's rumored to be getting offers less than 5, so no worries
  10. Cut a guy we traded a first rounder for? Yikes!
  11. One year guaranteed so he can test market again would seem like a good deal
  12. Are we still clinging to this farce that we gave up a "boatload" for Diggs? That's the first falsehood. The rest is even more nonsense
  13. True story. Whoever said that value would work is a moron
  14. Anyone got anything on Reader? We really need to land this guy
  15. Belicheck has always been the mastermind there. They could absolutely be better this season if he finds the right QB.
  16. We only really give up a late first rounder for the major piece that we've been searching for which in turn will make Allen, Smoke, Beasley, Knox, and Singletary better. They couldn't have done any better, and there will likely be nobody at pick 22 that will be a dominant player...certainly not the caliber of Diggs. Making the move to contend now is also a factor and I love it. It's definitely time, and it all fits together perfectly.
  17. Oh...and you gotta pony up if you want a top playmaker in the game, unless you are dealing with a fool like Bill O Brien. It takes draft capital to land a stud like Diggs, and we had it to use for our biggest need, and to help Josh and let Smoke thrive in a role opposite of Diggs. The offense should now function incredibly well
  18. You are wrong. Diggs makes tough contested catches all over the field and has some incredible moves after the catch. He is also very good at plucking the ball out of the air. It's a very good fit
  19. A 4th rounder next year dampened your excitement? Incredible
  20. I'm fine with it up to a point. With four years left, he doesn't have a ton of leverage.
  21. I'll re-do his deal, but being he's got four years left, he's gonna take less than what he would get based on his production. Add another year, some more guaranteed money, and incentive based numbers to pump it up to look like he's got a top deal.
