  1. This kid did enough to make himself a first rounder yesterday. Not saying he'd be a great pick at 22, but If the Bills like him he's not gonna be there come round two.
  2. I wouldn't be thrilled with it because he's not an upper echelon LT, but he is very solid. I would begrudgingly do it because he's been a team player, doesn't get hurt, and can do his job at a high level and already is accustomed to playing with Allen and others on the line. I wouldn't want to create a hole at a critical position. It's not easy getting a good LT, and he is good. Would love for him to take a bit of a discount knowing that he does have limitations.
  3. There's a bunch of reasons why I want no part of Amari Cooper in Buffalo. A number have already been said, but i would like to elaborate. It's not just the cold weather thing...his numbers were pretty bad away from the comforts of his home stadium which is a dome BTW. He looked like he didn't even want to be on the field in a number of those games (Philly and NE). I personally believe that he's soft as far as NFL wideouts are concerned, and his pricetag is gonna be that of a top guy that can be counted on week in and week out. He is not that guy in my book. And he did have major drop issues in Oakland. Yeah...he was better in Dallas, but again...alot of that production came in good weather/dome in Dallas. There's alot of signs that the guy would be a major disappointment if he came to Buffalo on a huge deal. Not to mention he's already pretty much said he doesn't wanna play in a colder climate. AJ Green would be a much better guy to take a shot on if available. He's had a full season of not taking the punishment of the game, and he has been a stud playing in Buffalo type weather for years. He's bigger, faster, and has better hands. The only knock is injury, but you can't predict that stuff. Draft a guy and get AJ Green.
  4. People that often claim to know are usually the ones that really don't know...
  5. I'm not sure. I guess it ultimately comes down to what the GM believes philosophically. I see the logic behind what you're saying, but I'm not necessarily sure that myself or Beane subscribe to that.
  6. We have the 22nd pick. It all depends what positions are selected up to that point that determines what the best value will be. You cannot say a certain position is not worthy of a first round pick until you see what players are left on the board when it's selection time. It may very well play out that a Guard or a RT is the best pick at that point. Making definitive statements about only certain positions being good choices doesn't strike me as a very good philosophy/approach, especially when you are slotted to pick mid to late in the draft.
  7. If Cincy likes Tua and doesn't feel like there's much of a difference between the two, then they should absolutely fleece Miami. It would certainly help us too, so I'm rooting for it.
  8. Not the worst idea if we can get assets and it gives us a 1/2 punch with Singletary while he's cheap. I obviously don't trust Gurley to be healthy or effective, but having the cap space it could be worth the shot.
  9. He took shots at Wentz through Josina Anderson (anonymously), and the Eagles simply didn't want him on the field because of his attitude and declining skills. Not a process guy, and is nowhere near worth his contract. Look elsewhere Very good chance he's cut FYI
  10. Don't want him anyway. Price is too high on a 240 LB DE. Move on to other options
  11. This should be a slam dunk with the Carolina connection if he actually wants to play in a reduced role helping a young TE group that's up and coming on a good team. Make the money right and get him in here
  12. Kraft would be a Moron to go against Belichek's wishes, but this is a man getting a rub and tug in some sleazy Florida massage parlor so it's certainly within the realm of possibility.
  13. Absolutely. I've been of the opinion that we should not extend Poyer...at least not at what he is allegedly looking for. I think McDermott and Frazier know how to utilize what they have and their scheme plays a major part in the unit's success. Where they should spend the money is where I don't think they can get by on their scheme and that's the offense. They must continue to get better up front, get another back that can be effective, and get a number one receiver. Draft replacements on defense and take care of the studs like Tre and Edmunds. A pass rusher would be nice, but that's all I'm really gonna do on that side in terms of big money.
  14. This narrative that we need to dole out extensions for all these guys is nonsense. Mediocre players that the team likes can stay on modest deals, but to get a significant extension you better be REALLY good/great.
  15. I think he would be good in a limited role mentoring Knox. I'm sure Beane and McDermott will be approaching him with some type of offer.
  16. Facts. If we wanna see the Bills win a superbowl, we have to get a new stadium.
  17. Shenault may or may not be a good receiver at this point in terms of route running and such, but this doesn't mean he can't become one. It'll be up to Beane to do his homework when/if he visits with him and see what he's all about.
  18. I'll admit I haven't watched a ton of Jags football to say for certain, but I have been reading up on him and they say tackling and ability to stop the run are areas of concern. Makes perfect sense when your talking about a 240lb DE. I don't want smallish guys on the line, but that's just my preference.
  19. But it's not anymore...I think that's the point here. He's improved to the point where he's a very good all around player. Ngakoue has a glaring weakness and is small. I'd rather pay Clowney if I'm paying top dollar as opposed to Ngakoue, and I think Armstead could provide better value as high pricetag should be lower.
  20. I just think Armstead would be a better value. I don't mean to knock the guy's ability...he's clearly a very good pass rusher. The size and inability to be very effective against the run concern me, though. I'll be very interested if both these guys are available to see what interest the Bills would have.
  21. We have a good line as well. He's shown he can get pressure and be stout against the run, so I disagree that he has holes in his game. Ngokoue will be attacked in the run game. I don't want guys that can't stop the run starting on our Dline, and certainly not at top end money.
  22. Am I the only one who's not high on Ngakoue? He's pretty much a liability if he's not getting to the QB. I want a complete DE, not a poor run defender and tackler who is small 6' 2" 240. Armstead from SF would be a much better target. He's a monster and can do everything. I'd easily take Clowney or him over Ngakoue. I don't like players that have huge holes in their game, and he's a bad run defender.
  23. Running backs are a dime a dozen Go draft one instead of paying a turd of a person
  24. Amari Cooper is soft and his numbers on the road are night and day. He's not worth what he's gonna be getting paid. Hard pass on that guy
