Sportsline has Jets as overwhelming favorites
Greg S replied to BillsCelticsAngelsBama's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL. I say this as a Jets season ticket holder. GM Joe Douglas had a good draft and I do think he will eventually build up their roster like Beane did. But it will take more than one year to fix that team. With Gase as the HC they won't win. Every Jets fan I know doesn't like him as their HC. I do think Darnold is better QB than Allen but the Bills are the better team all around. If they can't beat the Jets then this Bills team isn't nearly as good as we thought. I think the Jets are a 6-8 win team. Their D is respectable but the Bills should sweep them this year. -
Do you think Brady can get TB in the mix as a "wildcard" team to represent the NFC? I think it will be one of two teams you mentioned as the NFC's best. If I had to pick right now I would go with NO to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Also if the Bills don't make it then I hope NO wins. I would like to see Brees get another one before he retires.

Looks like Josh has game on and off the field...
Greg S replied to wiseman3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe Josh is following in former Isles goalie/GM Garth Snow's footsteps when it comes to game off the field. -
What the Pats did was amazing but they had/have the GOAT HC/QB during that time. I don't think you will see a dynasty like that again. FA and salary cap make it almost impossible to be that dominant. The league is all about parity which makes what the Pats accomplished all that more impressive. I hope the Bills can have a run like the Giants had with Coughlin with two Super Bowls. Would love for the Bills to do what the Pats did over the last 20 years but I don't see any team doing that.

Buffalo Bills Official 2020 Schedule
Greg S replied to Do The Reich Thing's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they think that fans will be able to attend by Oct then maybe they delay otherwise they will start on time. The NFL is probably the only sport that could pull off games without fans attending since their TV ratings are so strong. TV is where most of their money is made anyway. -

Josh Allen Tops NFL.com's dark horse MVP List
Greg S replied to foreboding's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I noticed that as well. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. If Allen and Darnold reach their potential then that will make for some interesting games between these teams over the next 12-15 years. -

Jim Kelly, "something wrong" if Bills don't take East
Greg S replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't the Giants go the WC route with Eli. I believe they had to win 3 road games to get to the Super Bowl as well. -
Big Ben is back - Steelers AFC North favorite?
Greg S replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On the flip side Ben is 38 and has had his share of injuries. He is obviously a first ballot HOF but injuries and age might be catching up to him now. I wouldn't be surprised if he is not playing when the Steelers come to OP. -

McDermott's poor record against top teams isn't that surprising. Both he and Beane had to rebuild the team where they were starting at a point with 17 straight years of no playoffs. This year is the 1st year of Beane/McDermott where the Bills have a team on paper that can beat the top teams. If McDermott fails to beat top teams this year then he should face some criticism. -

I would go with the Ravens. How much does Ben have left in the tank? Can he stay healthy for a full season? What is he 38,39? -
The Bills and their fans are better off at New Era. As a Bills fan living in NJ (also a Jets season ticket holder) I can personally say new stadiums aren't all that great. MetLife is a POS. Every Jets/Giants fan that I know would take Giants Stadium back in a NY minute. The cost of my seasons going from Giants Stadium to MetLife went from $1700 to $3700 per year. Enjoy New Era as its one of the few places where real fans can still afford to go to the games. Both the Jets-Giants lost a lot of their fans from attending as it became to expensive. Many who go are part of the corporate crowd. Neither team has a homefield advantage anymore. KC renovated Arrowhead. Chicago did the same to Soldier Field. Why can't the Bills do the same to New Era?

He made a mistake and he will pay the price both with the actual law and emperor Goodell's law. Hopefully he learns from it but a young guy in his early 20's who is a multi-millionaire as well. I am actually surprised we don't hear more stories like this in the world of pro sports.

ESPN now: Bills at Patriots Sept 14, 2009

If you want to watch a Pats-Bills game then this 1981 game is a fun one to watch. This was the Ferguson to Hooks hail mary TD in the final seconds for the win. -
Right or wrong time for season tickets?
Greg S replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you allowed to buy? Even though I am a Bills fan I am also a Jets STH. I have my payments charged to my credit card over 4 months. The first payment I was charged but the last 2 months I received an e-mail from the Jets saying they were suspending payments to my account. The Bills might not take anyone's money right now given the times. A co-worker of mine is also a Giants STH and he said the Giants are doing the same thing. -
Jets' fans complaining about Bills' media exposure
Greg S replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even though I am a Bills fan I am also a Jets season ticket holder. As far as leaving the stadium goes next time tailgate for an hour or so after the game and let the crowd thin out. For a 1:00 game we get back to the car about 4:30. Tailgate till about 6:00. At that time you have no problems getting out as the traffic is completely gone. Assuming of course you don't mind hanging out after the game. -

If the Bills would have lost in week 1 then they would have played their starters in week 17. I don't think the Jets would have beaten the Bills in OP in this situation. Most likely the series would have been a split anyway. -

If he did I think this board would go after him like a great white goes after a seal.
