  1. Beane seems to have a good handle and understanding of this, the way he has managed the cap. He always talks about building thru the draft and resigning our own players as a big priority. He did go out and sign Diggs but the majority of this core is thru the draft. He also preaches spending responsibly. I really think with Beane the Bills will continue to do a good job of what you just mentioned.
  2. If the Bills can give their fans the same type of run the Giants had with Coughlin then I would be fine with that. The Giants missed the playoffs most of the time with TC but two championships more than make up for the losing seasons.
  3. Brian Flores did a very good job considering the talent he had to work with. Can Tua stay healthy though? If he can then the Fins will be a big threat in the division/conference. Assuming of course they continue to build a solid roster around Tua. With Miami the health of Tua is the big question going forward.
  4. Mike Mccagnan was the GM for most of their horrible drafting/FA signings. Douglas has a 6 year contract. He is going to be there for a while. I think the Jets biggest problem on offense is the lack of playmakers. They have Bell but outside of that who are you worried about? That rookie WR they drafted? I think Douglas will be their version of Beane but one year isn't enough time to make a judgement on him.
  5. LOL. I say this as a Jets season ticket holder. GM Joe Douglas had a good draft and I do think he will eventually build up their roster like Beane did. But it will take more than one year to fix that team. With Gase as the HC they won't win. Every Jets fan I know doesn't like him as their HC. I do think Darnold is better QB than Allen but the Bills are the better team all around. If they can't beat the Jets then this Bills team isn't nearly as good as we thought. I think the Jets are a 6-8 win team. Their D is respectable but the Bills should sweep them this year.
  6. Do you think Brady can get TB in the mix as a "wildcard" team to represent the NFC? I think it will be one of two teams you mentioned as the NFC's best. If I had to pick right now I would go with NO to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Also if the Bills don't make it then I hope NO wins. I would like to see Brees get another one before he retires.
  7. I would be shocked if they don't win their division but I don't see them representing the NFC in the SB either.
  8. Maybe Josh is following in former Isles goalie/GM Garth Snow's footsteps when it comes to game off the field.
  9. They are good but that doesn't mean they will be the next dynasty. Jerry hasn't won a thing since Jimmy left.
  10. They also had the advantage of playing in a division with Moe, Larry, and Curly. No matter how you look at it their run was impressive.
  11. What the Pats did was amazing but they had/have the GOAT HC/QB during that time. I don't think you will see a dynasty like that again. FA and salary cap make it almost impossible to be that dominant. The league is all about parity which makes what the Pats accomplished all that more impressive. I hope the Bills can have a run like the Giants had with Coughlin with two Super Bowls. Would love for the Bills to do what the Pats did over the last 20 years but I don't see any team doing that.
  12. If they think that fans will be able to attend by Oct then maybe they delay otherwise they will start on time. The NFL is probably the only sport that could pull off games without fans attending since their TV ratings are so strong. TV is where most of their money is made anyway.

  14. I noticed that as well. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. If Allen and Darnold reach their potential then that will make for some interesting games between these teams over the next 12-15 years.

  16. Didn't the Giants go the WC route with Eli. I believe they had to win 3 road games to get to the Super Bowl as well.
  17. On the flip side Ben is 38 and has had his share of injuries. He is obviously a first ballot HOF but injuries and age might be catching up to him now. I wouldn't be surprised if he is not playing when the Steelers come to OP.
  18. McDermott's poor record against top teams isn't that surprising. Both he and Beane had to rebuild the team where they were starting at a point with 17 straight years of no playoffs. This year is the 1st year of Beane/McDermott where the Bills have a team on paper that can beat the top teams. If McDermott fails to beat top teams this year then he should face some criticism.
  19. I would go with the Ravens. How much does Ben have left in the tank? Can he stay healthy for a full season? What is he 38,39?
  20. The Bills and their fans are better off at New Era. As a Bills fan living in NJ (also a Jets season ticket holder) I can personally say new stadiums aren't all that great. MetLife is a POS. Every Jets/Giants fan that I know would take Giants Stadium back in a NY minute. The cost of my seasons going from Giants Stadium to MetLife went from $1700 to $3700 per year. Enjoy New Era as its one of the few places where real fans can still afford to go to the games. Both the Jets-Giants lost a lot of their fans from attending as it became to expensive. Many who go are part of the corporate crowd. Neither team has a homefield advantage anymore. KC renovated Arrowhead. Chicago did the same to Soldier Field. Why can't the Bills do the same to New Era?

  22. He made a mistake and he will pay the price both with the actual law and emperor Goodell's law. Hopefully he learns from it but a young guy in his early 20's who is a multi-millionaire as well. I am actually surprised we don't hear more stories like this in the world of pro sports.
  23. If you want to watch a Pats-Bills game then this 1981 game is a fun one to watch. This was the Ferguson to Hooks hail mary TD in the final seconds for the win.
