Anyone else wake up still feeling very optimistic?
Greg S replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have you seen the defense play. They will make the playoffs and maybe even win the division. No chance they get by KC/Pitt in a big spot. Probably can't beat Ten either. They are building a good team but they are not there yet defensively to be considered a legit SB contender. The best part about this season is Josh is proving to be a FQB. -
Week 17 doesn't have MNF but they pick a game for SNF. I think that is how it goes.
-
They will be favored at home against Miami. They will also be favored vs the Chargers and at Denver. The might be slight underdogs vs NE and SF. They will definitely be underdogs vs Pitt. IMHO
-
We will have to see how it plays out but they should definitely beat the Chargers and Broncos. The Pats, 49ers, Dolphins will be tough games. I don't think the Bills win all three but they won't lose all three either. IMHO. The Steelers game is the only one I think will be a definite loss. My guess is 10-11 wins for the Bills.

I want hockey to start as well since its my second favorite sport behind football. I haven't heard anything that hockey won't play but the league also hasn't officially announced a start date either. It already mid Nov so if they want an early Jan start date for example I would think something would have to be announced soon. Still need training camp and preseason games to get ready.

I wonder if the NHL will have a season this year. Most likely there won't be any fans allowed at the games or sparse crowds like the NFL is doing. Unlike the NFL the NHL doesn't have that strong of a TV contract to survive without fans as they depend gate receipts that the fans bring in. Curious to see if the NHL can make it work.

This wouldnt hurt as much if the Fins werent a game back

Anything can happen in any game but I can't see them losing to the Chargers at home. I think they will rebound in a big way and beat a bad Chargers team. -

I get why Miami is getting credit. They have won what 4 or 5 in a row. What I don't get is why people are gushing over Tua. He really hasn't had to do much. Miami's D and ST are making plays. This week I want to see Denver up by two scores in the 2nd half and see what Tua does then. -

I can relate as I live 20 minutes from MetLife. I have to deal with Jets fans. This year its not bad obviously but overall they can be an obnoxious bunch. Do the Fins even have fans? It seems like their stadium in a normal year is mostly empty except for visiting fans. -

This wouldn't have hurt so much if the Bills didn't come back and take a 30-26 lead with 35 seconds left. Miami has nothing to do with this loss. -
Monday mornings after a win/loss
Greg S replied to Brennan Huff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills would have lost say something like 31-17 then I would have gotten over it real fast. We lost so move on to the next game. But losing like yesterday stings. 30-26 with 35 seconds left. 7-3 is a fine record but considering what happened it sucks to be just 7-3. -
This falls on the defense. You can bring up the interceptions and other plays but all of that means nothing once Josh threw the TD pass to Diggs for a 30-26 lead with 35 seconds left. The Cards needed a TD not FG and the defense choked. An average defense makes the stop. You don't let a team go 75 yards in the final 35 seconds. Terrible loss. Beane has his work cut out for him this offseason in trying to fix that side of the ball. They showed a stat that this was the 4th time the Bills D has given 30+ points this season. They have been bad all year.

Nothing is ever easy for the Bills but I will give it a guess as to how the season plays out from here. Chargers - Win. Herbert has been impressive but overall they are a bad team coming east for a 1:00 game at SF - toss up. Tough game. SF may be out of the race given the division they are in. I will say the Bills win but not overly confident. Pitt- LOL moving on. Loss at Den - Win. The Broncos are bad, Even though its on the road the Bills should get the W. at NE - toss up. Like the SF game but I predict a loss here. Wouldn't be shocked if the Bills won. But Bill>>>>Sean. If not for a Newton fumble the Pats could have won in OP. Miami - could be for the division. Josh plays well against Miami. Lets see how Mr. Alabama does throwing the ball in what is sure to be windy and possibly snowy conditions. Tough game but a Bills win.

The Bills have beaten good teams (Rams, Seahawks, Dolphins, Raiders) but only a win over the Steelers will give the Bills respect with the media. No matter who else they beat their will be excuses. The 49ers are to injured, the Cards are an OK team but nothing special etc etc etc.

For the regular season I think it would take a win over the Steelers and only the Steelers for the media to be 100% on the Bills bandwagon. I personally don't care if they do or don't believe in the Bills but a win over the Steelers would have people talking about the Bills as a legit Super Bowl contender.

When it comes to alcohol I just stick with beer. Brooklyn Lager, Shipyard, Blue Point Toasted Lager are some of my favorites.

Forget Mary Anne and Ginger! What About Bailey and Jennifer?

I don't know if he does stand up but Larry David for CYE is really funny as well.
-
If they had beaten Miami then maybe. Since they are coming off a loss and the Bills are a 7-2 team that is no longer flying under the radar I would say NO.
