No he was horrible. Not even including the first pick (which honestly 80 times out of 100 is not a TO), but he could not get anything going and basically just racked up garbage time points. Sometimes your role as a game manager is to play ball control especially when your defense can’t stop anything. They couldn’t do that at all.

I am enjoying it, but I would prefer to be SB winners instead of just preseason favorites.

The Rams roster 1-53 was pretty good last year. They brought in OBJ. One day later their starting WR got hurt and was out for the year. Injuries happen in the NFL. You have to prepare to win WITH injuries. No one wants to sit here in January and say “we would’ve beaten the Chiefs in the AFCCG if Davis wasn’t banged up.”

This is not really true. If Mahomes played like he did in the second half of the Bengals AFCCG, they wouldn't have won. I mean, the NFL didn't give him the MVP. Really, any discussion that starts with "Allen shouldn't be #1" should end with "then where should he be?" Because, IMO, he can't be less than 5 and then you are splitting hairs.

I get that, it's certainly possible. I just know that Milano made quite a nice little rep for himself for the first 6-8 weeks of the season and players remember that. Milano was being talked about like the best LB in football. He had 15 TFL's last year!

I took more exception with: "During the Brady-Manning era, there were not that many elite QBs." Which is just not true. There were a ton. Now yes, Brees and Brady weren't rivals really because they didn't play each other a lot. Brady and Manning didn't become rivals just because they played against each other a lot, but because there was MASSIVE debate over which one of them was the best QB in the NFL. People don't remember because his game evolved a TON over his career, but early in Brady's career he wasn't putting up the Star Wars numbers that Peyton was. Peyton had the numbers, Brady had the hardware. But constantly from like 2003 - 2012 the debate was "who is the best QB in the NFL, Peyton or Brady." Guys like Big Ben/Rivers etc etc never really entered that conversation. Brees peeked in a couple seasons. Similarly, going forward, I could EASILY see Mahomes/Allen debated as the best QB in the NFL for at least the next 7 years. Derek Carr ain't likely gonna end up in that conversation.

Edmunds may not want to be in Chicago either (who would?) and you have no idea what contract demands he would make to stay there (could easily also ask for 17 per). really the Bears would be taking the inferior player who also needs to be paid who they also have no leverage on. Would be terrible as a straight up trade for them, but I’m all for it.
