Trade deadline needs what are your priorities
FireChans replied to Xwnyer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes it is. If we trade Von now, it's a $6M hit now, $21M next season, 0 in 2025. If we trade or cut Von next year as a post 6/1, his dead cap extends into 2025. -
I wouldn't call the Commanders game a great performance offensively, personally. It was fine, but we had 16 points in the 4th Q. But otherwise 100% agree.

Whats our offense in DVOA? A lot higher than 15 no? -

Nothing like comparing a game against the 1-5 Patriots to a Superbowl matchup lol -

10 points with 5 minutes left in the game. We don't pay $70M a season for that. -

You said we can't make moves because of "cap hell in 2024 and beyond." Which ain't true. You suck at this too. You sucked with your "WR2 is fine for now" take which was laughable. I will let you be wrong again in peace. Enjoy. -

The problem I have is that when you play a bad team and you are a good team with a great QB, your offense can quite literally "win" the game by starting fast. Daboll understood this. If the Bills went out, scored twice, the Pats would've crumbled and the game would've ended. If you give bad teams life, they will scratch and claw. It's still professional football. The slow starts are killing us and turning easy wins into dog fights. -

Tre White's contract out was in 2024 anyway lmao. Mr. "Don't see the contract correctly." You suck at this. If we cut Tre next season and traded Von, we would save $8M on the season. Check out spotrac.com for me one time. -

Remember when you said we were good at WR2 like a week ago lmao. Okay, two seasons. This season is half over, and it's going to end poorly no matter what we do. So it's really just next season. Toss the dead weight and reset. Banking on 35 year old Von Miller next year and Tre White post second catastrophic injury and old ass Micah and Poyer is foolish. It's over. Half the defense needs to be turned over. Might as well do it now when they have value and we can potentially get some late round picks. Same thing for Elam. Toss him overboard as well and get his money off the books. Every dollar we get rid of this year counts less for next year. -

Yeah. Punt the season. Don't be the Saints, scratching and clawing hoping the 34 and 35 year olds can hold up in January. Hard reset time. If we are going to win a Superbowl, Hyde/Poyer/White/Miller are not going to be high level players when we do so. Time to turf 'em Wanna bet on if we get past the divisional round? -

I focus on getting rid of our old folks' home players, and accumulating draft picks for the new regime to use next season. -

Like I said, big time "Brady is a system QB" cope energy. You will find out in time. He has Reid calling plays. Reid always was winning Superbowls calling plays with other QB's. Oh wait lmao. -

Mahomes has never played without Reid. The point, that flew over your head, was that dopes called Brady a system QB that was made by Belichick for almost 20 years. He then went elsewhere and won again immediately, proving them all to be fools trying to cope. "he's not that great!!!1!!1!!!!!" -

I don't blame him much for it. It is absolutely hindsight. But having the second best QB in history at your pick, trading that pick to another team who then beats your team every year and wins 2 Superbowls in your eye, that sucks. It's not just about having Mahomes. It's also about not having Mahomes standing in your way every year. -

It's trading Patrick Mahomes. I'm sorry. It just is. He is going to go down as the second best QB in history.- 65 replies

Did Thursday's game vs Bucs influence our play vs. Pats?
FireChans replied to VW82's topic in The Stadium Wall
We will score 20, but we will only have 7 with 5 min left in the fourth. That way Kenny gets his statistics. -
The defense has been trying to carry the day for 3 weeks in a row. This game is over by the second quarter if the Bills start out strong. The ONLY way the Pats could win is if they got a lead early and maintained it while playing ball control. It was their gameplan. Get up 3 points, and run the football and keep the opposing offense off the field. With this team, if we can only score 7-10 points in the first 55 minutes, we are going to lose A LOT of football games this year.

Apparently not, because we lost. If the offense shows up and plays in the first half (something they haven't done in 3 weeks and counting), we could have put this team away. We could have gotten the Pats completely out of their script of bully ball, forced them to throw, and had the game over by the second quarter. You know, like how the Chiefs go up 2 scores early on bad teams and then coast? But of course, we didn't. We put up 3 points. We let them run and play ball control, instead of forcing Mac to need to make throws to get points. I'm of the opinion that when you pay a QB and WR $70M, the offense should be able to flat out win you games. They haven't won us a game this season besides the Dolphins one and they've lost us a couple now. The game is 60 minutes and this offense seems to only play for 5. -

Nah it was Jet lag. They also play in Germany two seasons from now, so they were looking ahead to that game. -
