Gonna try to score 14 on the next drive for sure. Good thing Dorsey can pick things up for us lmao
-
Game definitely isn’t over. Season is over. This ain’t a Super Bowl team. It’s not even close. Back to fire everyone mode
-
Season is ova. Put a fork in this wild card loss team.
-
At least Dorsey is really good lmao
-
Because of his conferences. Good defense has always been optional in the Big 12 and the PAC. Good offense is mandatory. This is just accepted fact in the CFB world.
-
To be fair, Josh has also made quite a living off that Chiefs performance and the game before.

If the Bills Don’t Make it to the AFCCG, Should McDermott Be Fired?

I think Daboll was pretty good. I think Dorsey is a step down and is holding us back. But as a corollary, I think our offense isn’t talented enough. And that falls on McD/Beane in FA/drafts most of all. -

Your biggest fear being the fans’ reaction if the Bills don’t look good vs the Bills themselves says a lot about you. -
An article from a month ago that lists every coordinator with a franchise QB lmao. What’s your over/under on Dorsey HC interviews this off-season?
-
That’s kinda Josh’s job. if Dorsey is doing such a great job, why is he not a hot head coaching candidate? Again, I pose the question above. An OC orchestrating a highly ranked offense two years in a row should be getting lots of buzz, right?

I guess my contention is that we have playoff failures where we can point to coaching. We also have some regular season failures we can point to coaching as well that may have cost us home field or better seeding. In addition, there are also games where we can point to a lack of a good receiving GROUP that also cost us as above. Offensively, I don’t blame McD much for our woes, because it’s known he doesn’t touch much there. Now does the head coach share some blame by virtue of being the head coach? Of course. It’s my contention though that McD isn’t a good enough coach, defensive or otherwise to overcome poor offensive coaching and/or a lack of offensive talent. And it’s a reality of the NFL in todays era where you can’t field an elite defense year after year while paying an elite QB. So my estimation is 1. Fix offensive coaching. 2. Fix offensive talent. and if you can’t do 1 and 2, fire McD and Beane. JMO -

Does the fact we have lost 3 of our top 5 defensive players, and the fourth is still rusty off an ACL change anything for you? And does this “should make a change” comment apply to Beane as well or just McD? -

Zero worried. I think Dorsey sucks, but every coach on NE sucks right now. -
Simms: Gabe Davis is a good player, but he's not a number two

Ultimately, if the contention is, could the offense have done more to won the 13 seconds game, the answer is undoubtedly YES. -

Offensively, the Bills went to sleep in that 13 seconds game at moments. I know we like to fondly remember it as a near perfect game from Josh (and it was), but we had 4 punts to the Chiefs 2, we were 6-14 on third down (Chiefs were 8-13) and the Chiefs had 10 more offensive plays and over 130 yards more of offense. Josh Allen made some miracle plays to keep the game alive. the Bills were 4/4 on 4th down, in large part due to Allen putting basically the rest of the offense on his back. I would say the 13 seconds game was probably the best performance of Josh’s career considering the stakes, the moment, and the gigantic plays he made. But I wouldn’t say the rest of the offense was the same. -

There's no doubt that 2 great WR's can help. I guess my question is: What does this mean to you in the context of the Bills in 2023? You have the opinion that Gabe hasn't grown his game since his rookie year (which I pretty much agree with), right? That despite outplaying his draft status, he just hasn't been good enough to fill the role we needed out of him, right? So why over the last 2 years has he been trotted out there to fill the role of our "1B?" That's not Gabe's decision. Who do you blame for the state of the Bills' WR room? Did you think Gabe had the potential to become that guy and just hasn't? You don't agree that we should've drafted a WR higher than the fourth round in the last 4 years at least once with a superstar QB? -

Counterpoint: We have beaten Miami 3 out of the last 4 with the deficient Gabe Davis and no slot WR. So I think we'll be okay on that front. KC also beat the Eagles last season in the SB with worse second options. And beat the Bengals with worse second options to get there. Now, there are other reasons KC wins, namely the best QB in football and the best offensive coach in football, but still. I think serious questions about offensive roster management need to be discussed at this point. I think everyone, even folks that like Gabe, can agree that Diggs/Davis/Sherfield/Harty ain't enough juice in the WR room with Dorsey behind the wheel. -

We should've drafted a WR last year. Or the year before. -

I agree that the ideal is 2 WR’s that can do it all. But the Pats won multiple rings with slot only guys and a great TE, and inconsistent at best outside WR’s. I personally think the Bills should have sought out upgrades at #2 WR last offseason. They did not. I think if they they were not going to upgrade outside WR, this offense at least needed a player to fill the slot role. They did not do that either. -

From 2019 to 2021, Beasley was our WR2 IMO. -

This is all true. But what did you expect? If anyone was thinking that Gabe was gonna turn into a Diggs-lite in year 4, they were crazy. But there’s still a Cole Beasley sized-hole missing on this offense. If you want to say that missing player should be WR2 in target shares, fine. I don’t disagree. But we don’t have that player. That ain’t Gabe’s fault. It also rained at my house when the Bills lost in London. Must’ve been the weather. I’ll believe that Kincaid can produce and contribute at a high level this year when I see it, not before. Already got sucked into the camp hype once to watch this dude run Reggie Gilliam routes. -

He ain’t gonna be that guy this year, and we are trying to win a Super Bowl this year. I am not supremely concerned that Kincaid is going to be a bust. I am supremely concerned that he was penned as the missing link and has been mostly just missing
