  1. Just one final thing with this. He’s playing as their #2 receiver right now. He wouldn’t be getting that much playing time in Buffalo. Seems like an alright player, I’m sure he will be in the league a couple more years, but he was never going to produce here (which is why he rarely was active on game days). I would be shocked if he Evers tops 600-700 yards in a season
  2. He’s played in 8 games. If he was getting 30-40 yards per game with the Bills people on here would be wondering why he’s out on the field
  3. No he’s not-he has a couple of touchdowns but that’s it. 3 touchdowns and 350 yards is a really low bar to set for someone ripping it up. Before last game he he never topped 45 yards
  4. I’m hoping for Groot to have a big game-deflection for an interception, a sack, couple of pressures
  5. Normally I would say yes to this, but we no longer have Blackshear and Hodgins, so those things basically cancel each other out. I mean how can the Bills possibly replace the almost 400 combined yards and like 4 touchdowns they have?!?!
  6. What are you talking about? According to some, they have superstar all world WR Isaiah Hodgins on their team!!
  7. Not really, but people love that “us against the world” mentality
  8. Fair or unfair that’s how people look at QB’s. There were people on this board who mentioned the Bills should move on from Josh after 2 years, and he had led the team to the playoffs. Tua is getting crushed right now and part is that is because the dolphins are in danger of missing the playoffs. Herbert has had much more talented teams than what Josh had that year the Bills played Houston, but he seems to be getting a pass, with people blaming the coach, the defense, injuries to the team…but not a whole lot again Justin. Again he is incredibly talented, but he continues to fall short (as of right now)
  9. I mentioned this in another thread, but I don’t think Herbert is in that top level. Yes he is talented but what results has he produced to be placed up there? He has stats but not results. Lots of weapons but he’s never been to the playoffs. Can’t beat the Chiefs. The team had high expectations this year and up to this point have fallen short of them. True that it’s not all his fault but right or wrong he gets blame as well
  10. I’m definitely pulling for the Pats but it has nothing to do with strategy. I can’t stand Tyreek Hill and would love to see him have to sit out the playoffs
  11. I don’t think Herbert belongs in the discussion yet. It’s a results based league and he doesn’t have the results. He has the stats but not the results
  12. So I believe this thinking happens for a couple of reasons. The first is they have convinced themselves that if they think the team is bad, then if the Bills don’t win the Super Bowl they can handle the disappointment better in their own minds. The second reason is the more likely reason-the good old “I told you so”. They say the Bills have such and such problems, if the Bills lose and the season ends they get to spend all offseason saying “I told you so” as if that’s some sort of victory. In both cases it’s a win win for them. Either their scenario comes true or the Bills win everything. It’s a pretty sad way to be a fan
  13. The point his people are building him up like the Bills missed out on something amazing. He’s fine, nothing special though. He wasn’t going to climb the depth chart here so I’m not really understanding why people are getting so worked up over a guy who has a couple of touchdowns and some catches
  14. If the same play happened and it was the Bills on defense, this place would have EXPLODED if the play was whistled dead
  15. Teams have shown for years that the cap can be manipulated and the cap is going up significantly. I don’t want Jacobs on the Bills, but they won’t be cash strapped. If they want a guy or want to re-sign a guy they will be able to
  16. Pointing out the flaws isn’t a problem, but assuming that all of these flaws will show up next week and then also assuming the Bengals will play perfect is. I’m not saying this is what you are doing but there is a very vocal group in these threads that does exactly this. The Bengals also had 3 turnovers and had 8 penalties themselves yesterday it’s a Bills discussion board so of course we are going to analyze them. Realize though that when you come with a negative take that people are going to resist it. Also make sure that you have at least checked the other teams to see what their flaws are. The game next week isn’t going to be 10-7 that’s for sure, there will be mistakes by both teams, but there will be opportunities to make plays and the Bills will need to capitalize on those Wait-so the first down was also a touchdown? That’s a pretty big assumption for a team that wasn’t moving the ball at all at that point
  17. You seem really critical of the Bills mistakes but aren’t acknowledging that the other “formidable” offenses aren’t also screwing up. In both cases yesterday both the Bengals and Chiefs jumped out to leads but then both just stopped, in the Bengals case that caused them to almost lose. Thankfully for the Chiefs they played a team that couldn’t get anything going. This isn’t the first time this season that has happened to either team as well. Sounds to me like as soon as teams figure them out they are able to stop them. The big difference is the Bills have the defense to keep it close and have shown they can close games now
  18. He’s not excelling at all. He has one game over 50 yards receiving and yes he has a couple of touchdowns now. As others have said he is a poor man’s version of what Robert Foster did (which isn’t saying much)
  19. I’m confused here…how was he jipped? They were tied coming into this game and that adds up to 171
  20. You can keep the first drive in and the Bills played MUCH better than just decent-barely 200 yards of offense, shut down their running game, multiple 4th down stops. The defense was awesome today
  21. This actually was on the 2 PT conversion, but it was the one that didn’t count because the Bills got a penalty. It was actually a relatively easy completion to Davis
  22. I have been hearing this statement for weeks now, yet they have won 6 in a row. The Bengals are also playing really well, but they also almost lost a 22 point lead today, had to come back from 17 down last week so they have major flaws as well. The Bills don’t NEED to play well in all 3 phases to win. Get a defensive game like they did today and that’s going to go a long way towards a win. They just need to play better than the Bengals do next week-they have 12 wins for a reason this year, I’m confident they will put together a good plan for next week too
