  1. This is a dumb argument. 1st - different ownership / management 2) OJ was a stand up guy when in Buffalo /.. you can't address the future transgressions of a player .. only those that have already taken place.
  2. In related news the Chiefs have signed Alexander Grant Claxton. Per Coach Reid Claxton represents the culture we are trying to build here
  3. It is from my head .. my point is that even if you have that high of an opinion of the Bills it is hard to win all three games. If the Bills do lose this week that is not a statement on the state of the franchise as they are positioned well (not going all in on high priced free agents such as the Rams have done). You stay in the playoffs year over year the run will come. Hopefully it is this year, but .. if not ...
  4. The number of active quarterbacks with Big Ben retiring with more than one Super Bowl victory: Tom Brady (7 just nuts), Josh Rosen (typo that was just assumed based on the 2018 hype) The number of active quarterbacks with exactly one Super Bowl victory: Joe Flacco, Russell Wilson, Pat Mahomes, Nick Foles, Aaron Rodgers. It is hard to to win one and for all the accolades that Russ and Aaron received they still only have one each. At present I see our odds as 50% vs the Chiefs .. I think we are a bit better but they are at home 60% vs Titans (if Bengals win I think it pops to 75%) 60% against NFC representative (assuming Bucs or Packers) So I think these slightly rose-colored glasses view .. we have around 30% chance of making it to the Super Bowl and 18% chance to win it. This team has continued to grow and we do not have any critical free agents so even if we do not win the Super Bowl this year .. we are definitely set to be in play for it for a while to come. If we have that percentage chance for many years to come .. sooner or later our number will come up.
  5. Actually dating back to the end of Panthers game the Bills have 7 punts all in the Jets game over the last 249.49 minutes of football action … that is insane
  6. Actually it was 5 TDs in 11 minutes .. which is an awesome feat and would have probably been the only story if it weren't for Josh basically having a perfect game. His quarterback ranking was actually perfect until he threw the touchdown to Doyle which due to the length of the throw moved him down on the average yards per completion portion of the metric. Josh and Mahomes are peers at this point .. either can have a remarkable game. Hopefully it will be our guy.
  7. TV pairings .. so officially we get Nantz and Romo .. I like Eagle and Davis but either is better than the Fox or NBC crews. - Cincinnati Bengals at Tennessee Titans on CBS/Paramount+: Ian Eagle, Charles Davis and Evan Washburn Saturday, 8:15 p.m. ET - San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers on FOX: Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi Sunday, 3 p.m. ET - Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers on NBC/Peacock: Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth and Michelle Tafoya Sunday, 6:30 p.m. ET - Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs on CBS/Paramount+: Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, Tracy Wolfson and Jay Feely
  8. I think there are a few things in play in my opinion. 1) There talent is overrated because they are Cowboys they get talked up by the media and they are on prime-time where people get to hear how great they are. They have pro-bowlers who if they were on the Bills would not be viewed as highly. 2) The Jones' hire "yes" men. Yes men don't optimize talent as the focus is on making Jerry happy not making the best team possible. 3) They are a collection of players .. not a cohesive team. Better teams beat better collections of talent in football. Not so in baseball or basketball, but in the NFL tea means a ton.
  9. My favorite sign was actually the one left in the comments .. "our balls are frozen, not deflated"
  10. Wednesday at 8:00 pm - Perfection - Bills vs Pats Thursday at midnight - Bills at Chiefs If you don't care .. just ignore.
  11. KC injury update after Steelers game. They sound fairly whole overall https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/andy-reid-discusses-chiefs-injuries-of-note-ahead-of-bills-week/ar-AASSh8B
  12. Looking at the top 100 list of free agents .. most of the few who really performed at a high-level this year were the ones that their original teams resigned. Hopefully TBD will remember that when we do not go on a spending spree this offseason. https://www.nfl.com/news/top-101-nfl-free-agents-of-2021-who-are-the-best-players-available
  13. Josh does not lead by yelling .. he leads by actions. When he hurdled Barr, when he dug that fumble out from underneath the entire Cowboys D-Line, when he takes ownership for his shortcomings. Those are attributes people want to follow. All teams say they love each other .. you know it when it is real. They know they have a great general and they want part of it.
  14. Josh still throws some bad passes as well .. sadly the narrative is different. To the media Mahomes is a wizard and Josh is sugar-high. Even on remarkable similar plays. Mahomes yesterday threw a ball across the field within my opinion too much air under itand the announcer said only 1 QB could make that throw (i.e., Mahomes). @FilthyBeast has a point .. the Bills need to probably get to the Super Bowl to flip the narrative. Having stated that, we have a good chance to win or lose this game. It is a fairly evenly matched game. It will not be the end of this run if they lose, nor will it be the sign of the Chiefs demise if they win. Both teams have at least a few more years of dominance ahead of them barring an injury to two of the best young QBs in the game. I also agree with @FilthyBeast (I am going to go take a shower after finishing typing this) that if you strapped all the GMs up to lie detectors and said pick 1 and only 1 QB for the next 10 years most would pick Mahomes, with some electing for Josh, Burrow, and Herbert. That is likely the end of the list at least at present. Great company to be in. Unfortunately they all reside in the AFC. I truly hope the Bills win next Sunday (want that so badly), but if not, it has been a great couple of years and I will look forward to 2022/2023. Keep in mind 6 years ago we would have been thinking about how to once again spend our top 15 pick and debating whether we would ever break the curse. This is a great time to be a Bills fan no matter what comes.
  15. Why do you call yourself @BIGFOOTspaceman .. just looking at the history of your posts and it is clear you are a Gigantic Troll not a sasquatch. You really need a life if this is how you spend your time. It is almost like you have a personal dispute with the Bills org / Josh Allen. Seriously .. try to look at a little of the bright side. We had 17 years to be down and sad .. do we really need to have your little rain cloud after we pole-axed the hated Patriots a mere 24 hrs ago. Kelce will get some catches no doubt, but eat alive .. a little too early to slit our wrists.
  16. First Final or Final First weather forecast for KC next weekend. 11 mile an hour winds .. and chilly (not Buffalo chilly)
  17. Thought I would add what he said about Josh after the draft for context .. well that is a swing .. biggest loser to demigod/centaur Rodger Sherman "Loser: The Buffalo Bills I would consider any team that used a first-round pick on Josh Allen to be the biggest loser of the first round. No good NFL quarterback has ever had statistics as bad as Allen’s college stats; his best-case statistical comparables include Brian Griese and Josh McCown. There are just so many videos of him missing easy passes so badly. Sure, his arm is strong enough that teams should value his potential, but “extremely strong quarterback who may never learn how to throw to receivers” seems to me like a Day 3 pick, not a first-rounder. I remain baffled that he was treated like a top prospect throughout the entire draft process. But the Bills didn’t just draft Allen. They traded up to get him, giving up two second-round picks to move up five spots. That’s a massive overpay on any draft value chart. And then the Bills also traded a third-rounder to the Ravens to move up from the 22nd pick to the 16th to select Tremaine Edmunds. Trading up is the move of a team in win-now mode. The Bills did so—but they selected a quarterback whose supporters even consider him a project. That doesn’t jibe. I’m so happy that the Bills got to the playoffs last year, and so confused about their future. Winner: All the Teams That Didn’t Draft Josh Allen Congrats to the Browns for listening to me and drafting Baker Mayfield instead of Josh Allen! Baker Mayfield was historically efficient at passing in college, setting the record for yards per passing attempt as a senior. Meanwhile, Allen averaged fewer yards per passing attempt than Rashaad Penny averaged per rushing attempt against the same competition in the Mountain West Conference. Congrats to the Bears, who picked eighth, one slot behind where Allen was taken. Since the pick ahead of theirs was used on a quarterback who struggles to throw a football to his teammates, the Bears got to draft Roquan Smith, who, in my opinion, was the best defender in college football last year. Congrats to the Cardinals, who picked 10th, and got to take Josh Rosen, because one of the teams ahead of them took the other Josh! Congrats to the Chargers, who got Derwin James—a projected top-10 pick—at no. 17! Congrats to the Ravens, who got Lamar Jackson—potentially the best quarterback in the draft!—with the 32nd and final pick in the first round! For the most part, life was really good for the 31 teams who didn’t take Josh Allen."
  18. Great Tweet from Rodger Sherman from the Ringer about how his perception of JA17 has changed. I think a lot of sportswriters if they could get past their preconceived notions would have similar views. The last line is epic.
  19. This is actually how modern “sportscasting” works .. make ridiculous statements really loudly and if it comes true .. remind everyone for eternity how you called it right and if it falls flat move on to the next outlandish claim
  20. Because it is more important to recognize participation more than performance.
  21. If you are not interested awesome .. why did you click on the thread. If you are .. enjoy
  22. Last two games against the 2nd best defense … zero punts. Zero times in Belichick career .. now twice
  23. Went to Patspulpit .. some are calling for Belechik’s job. Nice to know Other teams have insane fans as well (looking at you the fire McDermott crowd
