  1. Skip Bayless still thinks Mayfield is better than Josh .. that is the really crazy position. Watson at least is an excellent quarterback. Yet the Texans ( yes those Texans) wouldn’t even want him in the trade https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/03/15/report-browns-could-trade-baker-mayfield-even-if-they-dont-get-deshaun-watson/
  2. I know there are many athletes that do these sorts of things and I also know that many of these guys have some skeletons in their closets, but I still find myself feeling that they have collected a group of genuinely nice guys who happen to play amazing football https://www.ktbs.com/news/buffalo-bills-all-pro-cornerback-tredavious-white-hosts-second-food-giveway/article_60b27a90-a25b-11ec-99a0-53e68f222268.html
  3. So if the Bills did not “doh” the last 13 seconds … clearly not Beane’s fault then the Bills would have been heavy favorites over the Bengals (because at home and better roster). Then in the Super Bowl they would have been favored over the Rams ( better roster). Those are facts. So Beane built a roster capable of winning the Super Bowl. Going into this season the Bills are the favorites to win the Super Bowl by the guys in Vegas who get paid to assess these things. This does not happen if you have a roster that can’t win the Super Bowl. Beane has positioned them well .. now if they can keep injuries down and avoid stupid mistakes they wil be there in the end.. whether they win .. there are a lot of factors
  4. I would not be surprised if it ended up being Kyle Allen. He is not being tendered by Washington and he and Josh have developed a good relationship. Maybe ends up in the Davis Webb role. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/03/10/report-commanders-are-not-tendering-kyle-allen/
  5. Willi "Flipper" Anderson. He is 56, but it's hard to beat him for a big splash.
  6. I search before I post and most often catch duplication. In general my posts are well received. If you do not like what I post then please feel free to never read anything I post again. I promise not to have my feelings hurt by not having your insightful additions.
  7. Wow .. once again Mr. Weo comes in with great insights that add so much to the dialogue. Seriously it is not hard to refrain from being a troll .. just practice it. Say to yourself before you post "Hey Mr. Weo is this just me trolling or am I adding value".
  8. Was looking at some highlights from 2020 when I noticed something. Bills up by 3 with 15 seconds left .. and the Bills squib kicked .. taking 6 seconds off the clock. TD was at 15 seconds, Rams started there desperation play at 9 seconds. I don't think McD would do something different which to me reinforces either Bass was confused or Bass didn't get the message.
  9. There are multiple sources saying he was the op QB discussed at the combine. If he signs a big contract ... Eisen indicated he feels it will be surprisingly big in the video I am linking at the bottom. Pat McAfee is saying 10 mill or up. For those who hoped we would trade him in season .. we got the benefit of having him in case Josh had gotten hurt and will likely get a nice 2023 draft choice.
  10. 5th year option costs for 2019 1st rounders including Ed who sits at $10,753,000 which seems like a no-brainer given how he played this year. As stated above Beane is going to exercise this but in case you were interested in the number as well as the numbers for the other first rounders from that draft. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/03/07/fifth-year-option-salaries-set-for-2019-first-round-picks/
  11. I think this was very solid analysis who admitted he laughed at the Bills for taking Josh Allen. Indicated this was by far the greatest deep ball passing that he has tracked in his 7 years of doing this .. by a far margin. Two years ago Josh was at the bottom of the list. "Josh Allen is one of the most complete players in the league. The borderline generational arm talent from every platform imaginable of Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert is combined with the scrambling brilliance of Russell Wilson, the sequence breaking rushing ability of Cam Newton, and the ability to carry and take over a game like all the quarterbacks I just mentioned. The Bills have waited for decades for that guy at quarterback, and we laughed when they chose Allen as that guy. The only people laughing now live in Buffalo, and it's at us." His discussion of Josh's longest throw to Gabe Davis in the playoffs "Longest Completion By Air Yards: Divisional Round at Kansas City (2:06 3Q: 56 air yards, 27 YAC to Gabriel Davis for the touchdown) As pure of a piss missile as you can find. My jaw dropped when I saw this live. It's the kind of throw you talk about for decades upon decades as you brag to younger generations that you had it better as a sports fan in your 20s and 30s."
  12. At least he was a pro-bowl alternate .. smh
  13. Starts at the 24 minute mark (goes till the end about 28 minutes). Talks about training - lives with his trainer in an apartment - waiting for his second contract to splurge on a house. Some discussion on Burrow and the other younger QBs. On coaches he was passionate about Daboll and Chad Hall. Loved the conversation on his experience at the Scouting Combine.
  14. I think you meant to say .. Pats are in a beautiful place ... happy tidings indeed.
  15. This was made mid-year and I just stumbled upon it. Pretty cool.
  16. Diggs was talking about some plays on twitter (doing some studying it appears). made some comment about it .. and Josh responded "goctb". Diggs replied with "Words to live by. Find you a 17" The meaning of the tweet "Get Open Catch the Ball" https://heavy.com/sports/buffalo-bills/josh-allens-goctb-tweet-meaning-diggs/ Love the fact that Diggs is looking at plays in February .. and the camaraderie the two have.
  17. Public service announcement which maybe a little over the top but i would hate to see anyone (well except for a few ) get taken advantage of. I hope in your answers you are not using those things as passwords on other accounts. As an IT guy I can say that people will use things like there favorite player and number or the like as passwords. People can search through chats like this and then try to hack accounts .. sounds silly probably to some of you .. but this stuff happens. If you do .. might be time for a change.
  18. The other guys were talking Herbert and Burrow .. but Diggs went to the heart of it .. Josh vs Mahommes.
  19. The Bills per reports wanted him to be their assistant QB coach, but he elected to continue his playing career. It is hard to give up the dream, but his future is likely brighter as a Assistant QB coach -> QB coach -> OC -> head coach as that is the most popular pipeline. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/report-bills-wanted-to-hire-giants-davis-webb-as-assistant-qb-coach/ar-AAU22pi
  20. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/16/brandon-beane-protecting-josh-allen-is-the-first-priority-for-bills-offense-this-offseason/ I totally agree with Beane on this, and I think it has multiple facets in my opinion: 1) Better interior line play. I would think this is most likely in the form of a free agent signing. I also think this means Mongo is done in Buffalo. need to open up a spot if you are bringing someone in. 2) Calling less designed QB runs. His biggest runs come when he is scrambling on broken pass plays. I love that part of his game as well as the occasional 3rd and reasonable distant runs. QB designed runs through the gut of the defense on first or second downs, while they can be effective, are too risky IMHO 3) Keep drilling in to Josh that he needs to get down before he takes or gives a shot unless it is a truly CRITICAL play.
  21. They play GB at GB .. so that is off the list. They do not play the Patriots at all next year. We play the NFC North next year, but the 17th game addition for us is the Rams as the winner of their division.
  22. The Rams as the winner of the Super Bowl get first game to open season at home PFTalk conjecture is that the most compelling games are Cowboys or Bills. I think 49ers could also factor in. In general I would love to get that one out of the way and gives 10 days to prep for second game is season https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/14/cowboys-bills-strong-candidates-to-open-2022-season-against-rams/
  23. While watching this year it seemed to me that we had far fewer YAC yards than the other contenders. When looking at Profootball Reference it was much worse than I thought .. we don't have the lowest YAC per completion of the contenders .. we have the lowest YAC per completion in the league 4.2 yards. The 49ers were tops at 6.6 followed by the Bengals, Chiefs, and Packers. The net is the Chiefs ended up with about 1000 more YAC than the Bills (2728 to 1760). https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/advanced.htm - sort by "YAC / Cmp". It seems that to some extent our receivers, backs, TEs are not great at making the 1st defender miss (though without data to back it up .. it always seemed like Diggs found ways to get extra yards. I think some of it is also on Josh as he seems to hit the recievers but they are not always positioned to make a move. If I were the Bills / Jordan Palmer .. that is what I would work on this coming year. The interesting thing is if you just give Josh 500 more YAC by the receivers .. he would have been 3rd in passing yards even though we had so many bad weather games.
