  1. Too many factors make Dorsey safe. 1st year OC Questionable OL talent at the guards Slot receiver not emerging after Crowder gets injured. The popular view is that this is an Allen/Diggs high powered offensive team, but I'd say the Bills identity is really that of a premier Defensive team who also have two marquee offensive players. In the off-season, I thought both OL and DL were weak in the middle. Beane did a great job in getting D. Jones with Oliver and Edmunds benefitting greatly. Dorsey does pretty well with what he has. If I were to pick at him, it would be on whatever lack of focus is leading to dropped passes.
  2. Arguably because they're not simple. OL needs to convincingly sell it, slip their opposing D-lineman, yet not be illegally downfield. QB needs an open passing lane through the lines or do a risky lob over rushers. You have to have the DL rush or even overcommit rather than play a contain on Allen. Agree that we haven't seen an effective screen game since the Thurman days.
  3. Barring a tragic collapse in the remaining regular season games and a bad 1st round playoff exit, Dorsey is completely safe.
  4. Yes. Odd post-game coverage plus the app drops my podcasts and I have to restart often. Hot garbage.
  5. Bodies will struggle to last 18 games plus playoffs. It'll shorten careers. Would need to consider the 60 players and two in-season byes.
  6. We will then set the edge as none have ever done before.
  7. I have no trouble calling Dawkins out for bad plays or how a particular matchup was unfavorable. I just don't buy into this "move him to guard" noise as if he's not fit for the LT position. It's possible that if he's the best O-lineman on the Bills, he doesn't have someone pushing him. The Bills need to decide on scheme and their preferred O-lineman body type. They may also be obsessed with positional versatility. The selection and handling of Ford and Teller was interesting. Ford was a slow-footed tackle with a 6.36 RAS was taken in the 2nd. Teller, strong as an ox and taken in the 5th with an 8.8 RAS, apparently wasn't a good fit for their scheme (??). Dawkins isn't a problem to me, it's the Bills' changing run philosophy and talent assessment of the OL. I'm hopeful they can do for the interior OL what they did with the interior DL. Arguably you get a guard next to Dawkins that is above average in both run and pass blocking (thinking of Reuben Brown / Incognito) and you now have a strong side of the line. Dawkins then looks like an All-star. I'd be interested to hear what someone who was OL football savvy had to say about the what the Bills need on the left side vs the right side.
  8. The organization has been overly comfortable with Allen being their running game.
  9. WGR is unlistenable on that point. Chewing up clock with the run while extending a lead on a team that can't score quickly is a beautiful thing. Keeps your defense fresh. It's got to be a viable option.
  10. Agree. This is a nothing Burger with blue cheese dressing on it.
  11. When Collinsworth speaks hit mute for 13 seconds.
  12. People rightly expect RBs to contribute their rookie year. Cook will be a year 2 guy.
  13. It's my new daily listen. No bombast. More about analysis than personal attacks. Does good crossover segments.
  14. Maybe he will. A cornered rat fights aggressively. Otherwise, just more garbage for ESPN to cover.
