  1. I haven't seen them in a while. Have the Colts continued to maintain a good OLine? Because they are going to need it.
  2. I'm not talking about just taking the underneath stuff when it's there. I'm referring to the way defenses having been defending the Bills since a few weeks into the season by flooding the middle zones and trying to force the Bills to win outside, which included them not willingly giving them short easy completions between the hashes. Doing this has left defenses exposed in the flats where throwing balls to our RB's would have left them one-on-one in open field with either an overmatched LB or with a safety coming over from a difficult angle. I was repeatedly kvetching about the Bills offense eschewing those spots for a couple weeks when they were available while the offense was struggling mightily. Dave's post makes it appear that they've finally begun making hay out there with their backs. That's what I was referring to with the comment about Brady's willingness to adjust being slower than we'd prefer and it possibly being a function of McDermott not liking to come off set plans too quickly.
  3. Defenses have been begging us to attack them like this for weeks now; I'm glad to see the Bills have begun to accommodate them and hope it continues at an increasing pace. I'm getting the sense that Joe Brady is not necessarily fast to adjust, but will do what is called for given time. It could also be a function of McDermott's tendency to stick with your plan for as long as you can. They understand what they're seeing and know what they're doing out there, I just wish they would be a little more proactive with their adjustments at times.
  4. Like others, I was also on my way out of the stadium with Dad. I have a theory that the reason those guys hated post-game traffic so much is that they were repeatedly driving us home drunk as lords and knew if they were in the car too long they would have to piss.
  5. Just pretend he's Brady; you'll be more comfortable with the possibility of him being killed
  6. Watching those two compete in a steeplechase could be very entertaining
  7. Smoot maybe?
  8. But, but, but....there's still leaves on the trees!
  9. Maybe if there was a bench out there where he could have taken a rest on the way
  10. You absolutely were; you could hear how loud it was on TV when Seattle had the ball. Hats off to you all.
  11. The only problem is that by then both Watt and Cam Heyward will be hurt.
  12. Yeah, I think they'll definitely try to keep it going. Probably because they haven't figured out yet that John got all the brains and Jim got nothing but the mouth.
  13. The only instance I've seen this year was the Titans game where they were coming off the big Monday Night win vs the Jets and they were half-stepping around until the halftime gut check. That one didn't really bother me because I'd known it was coming since the Jets game ended. Other times, they've played poorly, but it wasn't because they were sleepwalking; it was more an issue with execution than effort, imo.
  14. I think I remember Tennessee being overrun a few years ago?
  15. I bet his bluegrass chops really got Garcia engaged
  16. He's listed at 6'1" with a blazing 40; great size/speed ration. Must not be a great route runner or something. You can tell he absolutely freaking loves it. My prediction that he'll have a "Not to be ****** with" sign hanging off him by next year stands.
  17. Maybe waiting for some swelling to subside?
  18. Love the question but couldn't decide. Rousseau, Dawkins, Cook, Benford and Shakir have all been lights out this year.
  19. You might as well get used to it because you're going to see more of it. Cooper has tremendous self-control and is not at all a demonstrative guy. That won't be the last time you see him standing on the sideline wearing an All World stoneface.
  20. They're just bringing him in to defend Hail Marys.
  21. Posted this elsewhere but wasn't sure you'd see it and thought you might appreciate: Saturday night we had a sort of closing ceremonies party out our camp on the river before closing up for the winter. After midnight when most everybody had headed off for bed I took off the jumpin' party music and put on that "Eyes" with Branford Marsalis and just sat by the fire with a nightcap soaking it up. Damn, did Phil do great work in that. Genuinely skilled leads on a rhythm instrument; just beautiful stuff all around. 🥲
  22. I don't think Seattle looked at him even once yesterday until the Bills had gone dime into a deep shell in the 4th qrtr
  23. That was Jalen Virgil, the WR they brought up from the practice squad to fill in for Samuel.
