  1. I'm not sure what it's called. I've heard it referred to as cup and char. The potato salad is very good. I remember wanting to eat it and not caring about the beef on weck.
  2. Mulberry is pretty good -- you'll pay a bit but it's a good experience. They have an extremely large meatball that's fun to share, and your fork will just glide through the homemade lasagna.
  3. Schwabl's actually served the worst beef on weck I've ever had. It was served cold and dry. This might get some hate here, but beef on weck is truly not much to write home about. But as long as you don't have high expectations, it can be really good. I've tried Schwabl's, Charlie the Butcher, Duff's, a place in the Falls I can't remember, and two places in Buffalo I can't remember, and Duff's is actually the best and most consistent (I've had it there five or so times). Duff's Char-BQ wings are the best wings I've ever had. The best. Otherwise, the truth is that wings are pretty much the same everywhere. Yes, Buffalo wings started in Buffalo, but Buffalo no longer holds some kind of secret to good wings. Don't expect anything different than you'd get elsewhere in the country. Ted's hot dogs are meh. You can do much better grilling at home. They don't have the charred flavor you'd expect from the advertising. And the "cheese fries" is a cup of frozen fries with generic yellow cheese sauce for dipping, like you'd get at a county fair or something. Buffalo-style pizza is kind of in between New York and Chicago. It's a thicker crust but not like a buttery deep dish. It's a style you have to have a taste for. The pepperoni is GREAT though. I wish they'd do that style of pepperoni on a New York-style crust. Mighty Taco is enjoyable.
  4. Josh Allen literally said he gets too keyed up. And the proof is in the pudding. So... unsure what your issue is. It's definitely not just me. How many other people in this thread brought up Josh's play? My post was very reasonable, but some people react negatively any time psychology is brought up. They also tend to react negatively to realism when it doesn't paint a rosy picture. And yes, I made an ill-advised post once, a post that, I suppose, forever invalidates anything else I ever say. What a thing.
  5. I thought I remembered that they went 100% away from paper tickets in recent years. Yet, when I ordered tickets on Ticketmaster last night, I was able to select to have paper tickets mailed to me.
  6. This will garner negative reactions, but the truth often does. Josh has struggled in the past with being too keyed up in front of home fans. Not only is this obvious, but he has also said so publicly. It is a legitimate concern for this season, so I hope he's taken action in the offseason to improve in the psychological areas as much as in the physical areas of his game.
  7. Yeah, but he hasn't played nearly as well Meanwhile, with one more bad performance by Allen vs. KC, it would be fair to speculate that KC is in Allen's head.
  8. Uh, the Patriots are the only team in the NFL playing three teams coming off a bye. The Bills play zero. I don't think the schedule makers did NE any favors.
  9. Yeah, somehow it's not surprising that the Bills are the only conference championship participant to not have five primetime games. And only one at home is pretty frustrating.
  10. They don't. This is certainly not evidence that they do.
  11. Miami is going to be a damn good team, and they'll be hungry to beat us. Washington is also going to be damn, damn good. Pittsburgh is eager to beat us after we beat them 2x. Tough early season schedule for the Bills
  12. Thanksgiving night is an NBC game
  13. Only 5 games/weeks unknown at this point: 3 9 11 15 17
  14. Those are secondary market, no? They are slightly (slightly) cheaper on the official site (as of my look a couple hours ago).
  15. I hear you, but those home primetime games were a lot harder than they should have been. Offense stalled out big time.
  16. I like having our primetime games on the road. The Bills really struggle with the pressure of playing big games at home, but they typically thrive when playing big games on the road (us against the world).
  17. Week 01 09/12 PIT 1:00 Week 02 ? Week 03 ? Week 04 ? Week 05 10/10 SNF @KC Week 06 10/18 MNF @TEN Week 07 BYE Week 08 ? Week 09 ? Week 10 ? Week 11 ? Week 12 11/25 Thanksgiving night @NO Week 13 12/06 MNF NE Week 14 12/12 @TB 4:25 Week 15 ? Week 16 ? Week 17 ? Week 18 ? Seems likely just these four primetime games, only one at home.
  18. Wow, that is incredibly flaky for them to announce tickets go on sale tonight at 8:00, when opening day tickets are actually available now. A lot of people who properly followed the guidance are going to miss out.
  19. Bears on SNF is the ultimate buzz kill. I don't think anyone outside of Chicago wants to watch them. Do they really get higher ratings? Why not pick a more intriguing team to play @LAR? Isn't Dalton the presumed starter? Seems like a real dud of a matchup. Bills fans: if recent history holds, Bills will be wearing all white and the Steelers will be in black. Pretty depressing for home opener. Really wish we would go back to our traditional home colors.
  20. I don't understand. What is wrong with the post?
  21. It will be the Cowboys. I would put big money on it.
  22. Someone made the point on WGR that even going back to his Carolina days, McDermott has always just had a "get by" guy at CB2. It's strange, but there's enough proof in the pudding at this point that we shouldn't expect significant investment in the position. It's puzzling, because you feel like it would make a big difference, but McDermott seems to want to coach 'em up and strongly believes in his ability to do so. We have gone into every season under McDermott with low numbers at CB and a "Yikes" scenario if White goes down. At this point, it seems that it's a fact of life with this regime.
