The Bills won't play in the opener
-
What kind of idiot wrote this? Has he watched the Bills or looked at Singletary's stats? I'm not sure how this could possibly be described as a hole. If Barkley's name were John Smith, you wouldn't have a problem with this assessment at all. Singletary has been markedly better than Barkley in the NFL. It's not debatable

Are you suggesting that going to therapy means he didn't handle it well?

Poll: How would you grade the Bills overall draft?
Giuseppe Tognarelli replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
They're better overall punters. Araiza can boom it, but his other skills need refinement. -
As far as I know, Darryl is the only one who's been unfaithful in that relationship.

I don't think I suggested that we should use a late-round pick; you could address the position in free agency next year just like you did this year, or you could do something like a 2nd rounder and a 5th rounder for added depth. The point is that people are hooting and hollering about guard and it's premature. I think what it really is is a lack of trust in Bates and pure unadulterated disdain for Ford; frankly, a lot of Bills fans are just mad at him and have developed the flawed belief that he isn't even good enough to be a depth player. I saw someone upthread (or maybe it was another thread) say something like, "You seriously think we can't get a UDFA guard who's better than Ford?" It's crazy. Just listen to Beane the other night. Like I've said, the team still believes in Ford.

NFL Draft 2022 Fourth to Seventh Round Discussion Thread
Giuseppe Tognarelli replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
While I mostly agree, I disagree on IOL thoroughly and I think a CB would also have a chance to unseat Cam Lewis if the Bills keep 6 CBs Holes: P Possibly rosterable: TE (3rd), WR (7th), CB (6th) McDermott LOVES Boettger and he's been good for us. Beane loves Ford and they haven't given up on him. Listen to Beane last night -
NFL Draft 2022 Fourth to Seventh Round Discussion Thread

*facepalm* Doyle, Quessenberry are your backup tackles Ford, Boettger are your interior backups; if Morse gets hurt, Bates goes to center and Boettger slides in We need depth next year, not this year. If you draft someone this year, you are cutting Ford or Boettger, which is not going to happen. -

The Bills have four picks remaining and only one need: punter. Go get Stonehouse or Araiza. -
NFL Draft 2022 Fourth to Seventh Round Discussion Thread

The Ravens took the best punter in the draft using the Bills' 4th-round pick, causing a premature run on punters. Tough break for the Bills, who likely didn't need to trade the pick to get Elam. -
Rd 3, Pick 89 (25): LB Terrell Bernard, Baylor
Giuseppe Tognarelli replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Brandt was incredible but this was a truly puzzling pick. LB only makes sense if it's an Edmunds replacement. This is a Milano backup I think they'll regret passing on some much better players here -

I think the Bills are going to draft Dylan Parham. -
I started laughing as soon as I saw the title. Could've seen this one coming!

Ford wasn't nearly as bad last year as fans want to make him out to be. I don't think the Bills have given up on their former second-round pick, and you have Kromer coming in to work with him. No one is asking Ford to be an elite player; we're asking him to be a reasonable backup guard, and he is more than capable of that. Say what you will about Mancz, but he's played a lot in the NFL. I think he's probably the 10th OL and cut though since Bates could be the pinch backup center and then plug in Boettger at guard.
-
He started the entire season last year and was graded as an elite run blocker; it seems like he should be able to lock down a backup role
-
Very confusing

How do you figure? We have excellent depth. Unless you're referring to an Edmunds replacement We don't need any of the bolded things in 2021, not by any stretch Who are you cutting? The starting five are locked in and we already have more rosterable players (10) than we usually carry. Doyle and Quessenberry are locks, Mancz is a quality backup center, and Ford and Boettger are excellent depth guards with tons of starting experience

Tomorrow, I want to see the Bills take the best offensive weapon available, twice (hopefully RB and WR). On day 3, you then just grab the best punter in the draft with your extra 6 and otherwise go BPA with your remaining 5, 6, and 7 because you literally have no needs.
