Sure looks like it right now, not really a realistic idea as of last year, but I wouldn’t have been upset if they moved on from the coaching staff after that :13 debacle, not like it was the first time McClappy’s awful coaching has lost them big games.

That throw is what makes Josh special. I think the announcer said there are “5 guys ever that could make that throw get there before it was broken up” , I don’t know if that’s true, but I don’t think I could name more than that so maybe it is. I don’t put a lot of stock in yards gained, show me points and execution when it matters, the last 4 games, that’s been the struggle. Hopefully they get that figured out. -
Jackson is Levi Wallace 2.0, he never looks for the ball, he’s just a penalty or big play waiting to happen. I was excited about him, I see why he was where he was on the depth chart, it’s where he belongs. If he’s you 5th CB you are in solid shape, when he’s your best, welll good luck.

Absolutely not. The team is battling through right now and getting wins, that’s a good thing. They are playing like garbage in comparison to the beginning of the year / the expectations they set. With the D missing 5/6 starters and another playing banged up, it’s not hard to see what the issue is. Now the lack of talent at WR was something I was concerned with going into the year and it’s really proving to be a problem.. OBJ would be a hell of an add. -

Davis is a bust in comparison to the expectations put on him this year, people wanted him to be a 1A, he’s a 3B. The team has no legit #2. Allen is not right, the receivers are not helping. The D can’t cut it with this many injuries. if they don’t get healthy, this season is toast regardless of the regular season record. -

McKenzie's Place in the Offense Going Forward

I see his future in NYG colors, Dabs hold use him, Dorsey seems to think he’s useless.. to that end, McKenzie has nothing to disprove that. -

Bummer, I liked him. That 99 RAS score was starting to show before he got hurt.

Yay somebody collected clips of him running through wide open holes. For reference, you are expecting a guy who’s biggest carry load in College was 113 carries, meanwhile he couldn’t unseat Zamir White who got 160 Carries the same year and got all the tough yardage downs. Cook is too small to handle getting the yards when you need them and frankly doesn’t see the little seams, he’s not an inside runner, never has been and I highly doubt he ever will be. So to purpose him and Hines, who is the same player as the only RBs is a horrible move. Both are nothing more than role players who are essentially 3rd down backs. -

He hasn’t run for anything inside since joining the Bills and never has at any level, but sure, he’ll just become Dalvin with a couple months of lifting.. I bet you were sure Davis and McKenzie were going to be all pros this year too. -

So Mike White gets the start, puzzling decision for sure. I mean Wilson sucks, but you made him the #2 pick, you can’t just sit him for White and not expect it to be over for him. -

Real quick, how many yards does he have between the tackles? No go back to Georgia and look at the same thing. -

Unless there is a BIG step up from Cook, there’s no way you can come to 2023 with him as the lead back. He’s never shown the ability to run between the tackles on any level, he doesn’t have the size and doesn’t seem to have the vision for it either. I’d look to re-up Motor or go get yourself a bell cow. -
Don't Look Now - Lions are Winners of Their Last 3 . . .
DCofNC replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall
Detroit has been putting up points all year, they are not a team to take lightly with the D as banged up as it is. I think they may be able to hang with the Bills, especially if the offense sleeps through the first half like last week. If you can keep it close into the 4th, anything can happen. I wouldn’t put it past the Lions to pull a shocker. -
The defender made a great play, Gilliam missed for about the 5th opportunity of the game to make a black to spring a bigger play. He looked awesome game 1 and I can’t understand what happened from there.

I think you need to find guys that aren’t #2 simply because there’s nobody on the team that should claim the role. Right now, it’s Diggs and a solid #3 in Davis, and a bunch of nobodies that are fringe NFL roster players.

they let 2 vets walk, guys that took $14M in salary last year and replaced them with 1 guy making 4M and a 5th round rookie. So you didn’t ignore WR, but it’s clear your sure as hell didn’t look to improve it either. They spent big this off-season, just not on the skill positions and it is showing. I think it’s fair to say a WR could have been picked long before the 5th round. For all the impact Cook has had, and the general lack of use for any RB on the team, it’s quite astonishing they have picked 3 running backs in the last 4 years and not a single WR earlier than any of those RBs. I’ll go so far as to almost agree the with OP, I think this was a terrible offseason for Beane and I also don’t think he’s much of a drafter in general. Without hitting on Allen, he and McClappy would not be in Buffalo at this point. They swung on a boom or bust guy and hit, that’s awesome, but for the rest of it? It’s not super impressive. I know I’m going to get crap for it, but if people were honest, there’s no way you would look back at the Drafts under Beane and take the same guys at the same place on anybody outside of Allen. He’s found some late round gems, but the first 4 rounds have not yielded much.

Why? It’s been Allen and Diggs for 3 years, hasn’t been a difference maker outside of Beasley and he’s gone. They did absolutely nothing to help Allen in the off-season, they took away talented vets and didn’t replace them with anything near the same quality.
