  1. Stunned by this contract.
  2. The challenge is to find more recent examples of right wing extremists and violence?
  3. For a year, sorry, I like the ocean. You would be surprised how many Bills fans are out here.
  4. Waco, Ruby Ridge, Oklahoma City, Capitol Attack. It's basically a Billy Joel song. Now clearly you can tell I don't hold most of the views in high regard, but you do you. Which is benefit conservatives won't give others.
  5. All of us have to follow laws, but after that people should have the freedom to live their lives as they see fit, including practicing any religion, lifestyle, or sexuality they please. What one personally feels about somebody's way of existing means nothing in the scheme of what is actually right, correct, or real. What is right or correct or real can only be defined by laws that govern a society. After that, it's completely subjective and up to each individual. Hell, even a lot of laws are questionable, but as a society we have to follow something. Conservatives want to define things with personal or religious views, then take those views and impose them onto others. Which inherently leads to an overall bigoted and exclusionary outlook. How couldn't it lead to that? Calling a spade a spade isn't why they lost this election. The extreme version of these people have always existed in society and tend to flair up in the form of a political group like the Tea Party or MAGA every 10 years or so. Ultimately, when enough hate comes together it can be a powerful thing. Sometimes that happens in a period where liberal voters aren't as motivated or confident in leadership or direction. Then you get a result like this as even people who don't fit the description I gave join forces to oppose the status quo. But inevitably more people in society side with the type of freedom and outlook I touched on because most of us want to live our lives without judgement or infringement from others. This fad will die out as it always does and the view I discussed won't have to be modified for that to happen.
  6. I have socks that could be used as murder weapons from that show
  7. Paranoid, hateful, bigoted, restrictive, makes sense why MAGA aligns with Russia
  8. Had a really impressive career. I had no idea he played that long.
  9. As perennial AFC East champions, I agree
  10. Am I play or two away from being a diamond?
  11. Sorry if I got in the way of your run it back celebration. I understand anything past “we are really close” is a challenging thing for some to consider
  12. This board is funny right? I mean, Buffalo can barely get past the divisional round and we theorize we are just a play or two away from a Super Bowl title. Yet the 2nd leading scoring team in NFL history wouldn't have been better off with Randy Moss because they lost one game all year by 3 points? By all means, explain that one to me.
  13. We seem to push for more draft pick development, 2nd contracts, home grown, than the NFL average. It seems like as a % of our roster internal draft picks is a huge % compared to the rest of the league. Most people here say that is really good, but I'm not sure that is really good. It seems more philosophical and us betting on the further development of our draft picks / preference in knowledge of our draft picks vs new blood. Is that right? I don't know, but I can't assume that it is as so many do. That point sort of ties in with this. How good are these guys? As you said, what does Shakir look like on the Giants? (personally, I think Shakir is one of our best players, so I still think he would do his thing) but outside of him, what would Mac Hollins look like? How about Gabe Davis, who we labeled as a hit by Beane, but was it? Based on starts and stats he sure was, but did Gabe Davis just benefit from Allen and allow Beane to kick the can down the road which ultimately hurt us more? Do we want to depend on lower grade players simply because we have Josh? 3 years prior to 2007 New England finished with a top 10 offense 3 consecutive years and won a Super Bowl (in addition to getting booted in the divisional and Championship rounds). It was common at that time to think Brady really didn't need elite weapons, I mean they won a Super Bowl and went deep the other two years. That offseason they landed Moss. As we know, they didn't win the Super Bowl, but had they had a guy like Randy the whole time, they probably would have 3-4 more rings easy. That offense was the best of all time. So when we say, geez, this offense is already #1, what else do we need? Well, look at how Moss elevated that Patriots offense
  14. I don't think using Allens talent to subsidize the rest of this roster is any sort of proof we did things the right way. But you do you. I would think think draft capitol is inversely correlated to wins. Worse teams have more capital.
  15. Practically, I don't think so either. But they have been to 7 straight AFC championships. So while you think that the signs point to this slowing down for at least a year, we also saw Brady and the Patriots defy those thoughts for almost two decades. Somebody will have to take it from them like usual. I have no reason to believe it's anything but that until I see a more obvious decline.
  16. I was pretty bummed when the greatest comeback got knocked off as #1 (although I think most people still recognize our as "the greatest"). I agree, I would not want to see somebody accomplish this. It is a much more difficult than a single Super bowl or even consecutive Super Bowls. I would still take just one over the four losses in a row, but more difficult for sure.
  17. Ask that question here and you will get: Chiefs are dynasty Injuries Bad luck
  18. I think we lose that Ravens game at home about 7 of 10 and on the road about 9 of 10. McD had a very good first half. We forced critical turnovers, as we did most the year, but the second half felt like we were holding onto a tree in a tornado. The clock ran out it couldn't have happened soon enough. As you pointed out, we haven't even made the Super Bowl. So this notion that we get by the Chiefs and somehow that's all that's needed, it's just so far off base. The Bengals would have likely taken us out post 13 seconds as we showed no answers to that era's Bengals squads. We will have them, Ravens, Texans, Cheifs, in addition to improving Chargers and AFC East. That is just the mess to play in the game. Forget about winning the damn thing. Our team is basically a 100% run it back at this point. Which is a divisional round team unless we see some major progression from some of our younger players or crush the draft.
  19. We have had plenty of big time drives in the regular season. But we have not had those drives ever occur in the playoffs (13 seconds aside) or in OT in the regular season. In fact we are 0-6 in OT in Allen’s career and we possessed the ball in 5 of 6 of those games. So to say I “trust” this offense in this spot, sure, but not after January and not in OT. Ultimately it seems like this will have to happen for us to get as far as we want to go. A lot of other things need to happen as well but we need to capitalize on these spots. What champions don’t?
  20. Really good player, wish he could have played longer. That one always bothered me with the cheap shot.
  21. Fred Jackson can dribble a bowling ball
