  1. You're so out of the loop with how this actually is. No hate here, still proud of the team. Still hopeful for the season. Still want to see this regime win a Super Bowl. Still feel everything else I said the other day. Life's challenges and thoughts don't fit in neat little boxes.
  2. I'm happy you felt the need to let me know you're happy
  3. Add me in for a 3rd. I was a huge NFL historian growing up. Taped anything I could. He was one the all time best. His voice is football. Jealous of the guys who got to see the game back then.
  4. I'm good with this take. If I get some time tomorrow I will take a look at how he has done with one or both Chase and Higgins out. I know they have missed a lot of time. I'm sure he has a decent sample to consider.
  5. I think he would be just fine without them. He's the the best pure passer in football. One of the only ones left who play like QB's used to play.
  6. Burrow is in that group. To say he is a distant 4th is almost as bad as putting Lamar and Mahomes ahead of Josh.
  7. They said strength on strength. But it’s not like we haven’t seen that play blow up in our face in high leverage situations. Titans game a few years ago and the Vikings OT loss. Josh is just better when he has to think for a split second vs thinking go, go, go right from the snap. We should have got the hint with the stop earlier and barely converting. I recall so many situations where teams like us will take the next step by going for the throat in that spot. We won’t win many of these games trying to survive like we did vs Baltimore. That’s how we play these close games in the playoffs towards the end.
  8. Which is why we ran the sneak.
  9. Things that Vince Lombardi never said for $100. You control your own fate or you're a victim.
  10. I don't play in this gray abyss you call home.
  11. You're playing the defending SB champions at home who have historically got the calls, who have already stopped you once on a QB sneak, who were seemingly getting the better spots all night. That is why you don't run a play like we ran. You give Allen a run pass option like we did in the regular season vs KC when Allen had his MVP moment. We just played scared. That's who we are in those moments.
  12. I will be sure to add "we should have won" to Injuries, Chiefs, and it's just really hard.
  13. 1. The Bills should have been better than that play call 2. The game should have never come down to that 3. It hardly explains prolonged postseason success that we haven't been able to achieve. People have been getting misplaced credit since the beginning of time. Nothing new here. They're both above average at what they do. Not irreplaceable by any stretch as some make them out to be. Meanwhile what was a potential dynasty is falling to the wayside defended by the fear of the playoff drought.
  14. The magic act isn't winning a Super Bowl, its convincing people of a level of competency that is higher than it actually is as a result of Josh. That people like you will die on the hill for as years pass, our window closes, and your comments age like old cheese in the sun. We can come back for a whiff in a few years. It's not like we haven't done that already. People can give examples of anything. The Chiefs have been to 7 straight AFC championships. Won multiple Super Bowls. It feels more like they make the luck themselves.
  15. Eagles won shortly after he left. He didn't win until Mahomes. If Allen isn't McD's Mahomes, who is?
  16. He went to 4 Super Bowls prior. He won with an entirely new regime. Not a ringing endorsement. or logic
  17. I mean if the entire roster in fact that good, they will win at least one, if not several. I will eat my crow happily and it will be a great thing. 8 years down, how many more we have left? 6-7 years?
  18. Clemson is the most overrated program in CFB
  19. You're on point. Beane is the best, our roster is super high on talent, or HC is the best, our QB is the best. We just dumb luck our way out at the divisional round every year. The Chiefs are just better. The injuries. It all aligns. By the way, the Jets were favored to win the division last year. We have been favored to win the Super Bowl multiple times the last 4 years. Nobody said this wasn't a good team. Team win almost 70% of regular season games with QB's that play at Allen's level. It's the playoffs when the magic show unravels.
  20. I think what we will field in 2025 and what we did field in 2024 defensively is a few light years removed from the standard you're calling out. From a pure roster standpoint, we have as many bad or average units as good. If that is not the case, how is it possible that we have all this wealth of talent, an MVP QB, and an elite HC and yet..... That is the point most you people seem to miss. Allen compensating for this teams deficiencies and this regime benefiting from it will end up being one of the all time magic acts in sports history. Crazy, almost like everything Josh touches just looks better?
  21. He also promoted Dorsey. It almost seems like no matter what Allen has, he makes it good.
  22. Last year our primary starters Were Benford, Rapp, Hamlin, Douglas, with Elam as the back up. A real talent haven. Taron has been here for both iterations so lets just focus on the rest. This year we will have Benford, Rapp, Hamlin, and White with Dane Jackson the back up. We depended on rookies in Max and Bishop to dethrone the trash we brought back. Thus far, not looking good. God helps us if Benford goes down because the flood gates will open. The only other path to improvement off last year is some of this DL help delivering with consistency. Rookie dependent, sort of like the our secondary plan. Bad thing with that is you sort of need to hit a draft pick once in awhile for that strategy to work out. Compared to what we had in the first iteration, the secondary barely has a pulse and even that unit wasn't good enough to avoid a playoff meltdown. I guess the good news is nearly all of these guys have shown injury histories. An old guy I used to work with had this saying and I always hated it. "Hope is not a plan". I found the only actual use for it now.
  23. Now do the defense
  24. Both OC's ran systems that were dependent on more WR talent. McD does get credit for Brady. What does that change as far as our talent level in the first build vs the second?
