Days pass by and I remember personal conversations, some fun , some serious, some me having privilege of gaining information , incite. all in composite strengthening attributes that our relationships bring to us. Aspects that endure even when the precious people of our lives are not with us be it because of proximity or duty elsewhere or because of being deceased. In this way those no longer here, still do endure and it be on us being blessed with these relationships and the qualities they bring, it on us to continue on , to do better as we carry in us a special strength. You are not forgotten, The Perfect Heart..... One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen. The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart. Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said "Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine." The crowd and the young man looked at the old man's heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars, it had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in, but they didn't fit quite right and there were several jagged edges. In fact, in some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces were missing. The people stared - how can he say his heart is more beautiful, they thought? The young man looked at the old man's heart and saw its state and laughed. "You must be joking," he said. "Compare your heart with mine, mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears." "Yes," said the old man, "Yours is perfect looking but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love - I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart, but because the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared. Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn't returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges -- giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?" The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands. The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man's heart. It fit, but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges. The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man's heart flowed into his. They embraced and walked away side by side. How sad it must be to go through life with a whole untouched heart. Who Are You Down on More? Sabres or Bills?
millbank replied to chaccof's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
with seemingly every other city that has professional sports franchises at some point having their Championship seasons, special memories of winning it all, Buffalo with both Bills and Sabres like a hand full of other such places, Cleveland for example, endures a endless cycle of also rans, , close but no cigar, or flat out terrible. In this this don't differentiate between either team, both hugely disappointing to extend where it would have been unthinkable of missing a game, personally have become apathetic of teams and more often if a better entertainment option is available will choose it. 72 years old now, believe I a patient person, but simply feel worn out waiting, still hope from year to year, but with no yardstick that would justify success by either, the enthusiasm just not present. -
Always told my kids, if you drink call me
millbank replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Hard to know, its possible both Mother and Son will be embarrassed to the extent they will be much more mindful of their respective drinking habits. One can only hope so. It amazes me often how I get the impression many think themselves bullet proof , being caught doing wrong always the other person not themselves. -
To one the the Walls finest people, Happy Birthday Steve, wishing for you a fine day. You most appreciated.

Lance Armstrong Interview on Oprah Jan-17
millbank replied to truth on hold's topic in Off the Wall Archives
At issue for me is how this effects so many others in terms of trust or degree of believability . What stock can be put in any denials. Easy to jump to conclusion all lie, Armstrong's course of action in this way demeans so many , so much... -
one thing for sure that knuckle sandwich Apollo got administered to him was most sobering.... Boxing day 2012 turned out not as hectic as in years past. Not doubt the increase in online shopping has changed personal shopping methods.

in truth given i have farm, have pondered how cool it would be to have a twobillsdrive gathering , personally have grown to appreciate so many fine folk, in sincerity it would be entirely my privilege to have you and others for a gathering.. can remember back in the day, not having a great deal , young and fledgling , thanksgivings not so much in terms of grand meals and trimmings, but we had each other, think where there is love about the rest takes care of itself. Today we richly blessed and I a most thankful appreciative person... (so nice to speak with you)

The main meal composed of roasted Turkey, Beef and Ham, plenty of mashed potato, peas, carrots, squash, sweet potato. They make bean salad and jelly salad concoctions. Also on the table are various preserves, fruit relish, beat relish, baby corn, dill, and sweet pickles along with some jams, grape and raspberry, strawberry and current. other ones i don't know name of that taste really good. When do you put up Christmas Tree/Decorations?
millbank replied to millbank's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I appreciate great others decorating their outdoor space, often its not so much the owner who gets the view but passers by and neighbors, the children this a act of kindness in my opinion. -
Have noted in visiting homes regularly that a number of people have already put up Christmas tree and decorations inside and out. It a good idea to get decorations on outdoors while weather not as cold, rainy, snowy , whatever, it wise to take advantage of decent weather .Our home we generally do such things the closest Saturday near first of December, stringing lights a little earlier at best day possible outdoors. When do you put up your Christmas tree, is it artificial or do you purchase real one from lot or go out to farm area and chop down your own. At real one perhaps being put up and decorated later in month, closer to Christmas. Perhaps you do not put up tree at all being of a denomination that does not observe Christmas or you have personal objection to the commercial version of Christmas , thus your observation much more conservative. What do you do in your home regarding Christmas tree, decorations, indoor and out?

purchased Stratford Festival edition of the Twelfth Night., was a time such purchases as frequent as finances allowed, these days not so much. These days actually find myself enjoying peace and quiet in the home, value it greatly, again gone are the days of music always seemingly on in the background or on my ipod music player.

It had gout about 20 years ago and was told i would need to take Allopurinol the rest of my life. At the time I was over weight and was in the habit of eating a fair amount cured meats, high in salt content. Once I eliminated cured meat, cut back appreciably on salt intake and got my weight in control have never had a instance of gout again .

Bob Lamb, Markv, Gross, , Cablelady, Ice, Spiked Lemonade, Brandon, Paul, Thailog80, many more who do not post frequently as in past. Regarding present state of wall, its my opinion all who give their time to the running of this forum do a admirable job, one that often is thankless, one where they hear the negative from us who frequent this site by privilege , at no expense. This forum began at the early stages of internet, the demographic of the user early on much more limited than it is today, where nearly all who wish to have access to internet have it, the wall does reflect this today as the forum composed of a much wider , varied people. Much has changed, some have grown older, moved on to other things, this the natural course of life. But this poster appreciates this forum and the many fine friends gained other the years. Yes there are many I miss.

Happy Birthday to one of Walls most excellent people... wish for you a fine day with friends and family you do make the wall a better place r....

Agree it far to early to give up on season as we have waited over a long off season for Bills football to begin once more. At present a most bleak period of time though, thus far not much positive and it hard to find something to base any optimism on. At some point followers need be rewarded with something, someone to base some hope on.

Got to be tough on a team like Rangers to end their run with a one and out.... would like to see at least a best two of three, even five, this would allow front runners the privilege of rest before playoffs , getting rotations in order ect, this the reward for doing well.
