  1. Yes team is 2 - 2 and yes this 2 - 2 in some ways feels almost 0 - 4 , and yes the next stretch of games are going to test the endurance, tolerance meter of many supporters, can see a few ugly, ugly games ahead, but call me nuts, but do see some talent , young guys who are going to take their lumps and a few vets for what ever reason have not got it going , a new defensive group that is not playing up to expectations , but I do think as season move along it will get better, see them at season's end a decent team, perhaps 9 - 7 , maybe even 10 - 6 . Maybe just ate to much pizza last night and am losing my marbles, we shall see. Just not ready to jump on the " boy do we ever suck bandwagon". Tough thing is the wait for another great Quarterback Messiah does continue and given they appear on road to mediocre , middling , do not appear they will be in position for shot at a potential great in near future. Me just at least at this point want to hope at least I wrong ....
  2. Think we all invest a great deal of time in following NFL and our favorite teams. It a reality we going to have controversy during season regarding call made by officials, this in and of itself frustrating and maddening, I relieved at least the best available will be effecting this.
  3. Chest Fever.....
  4. wish to encourage you to remember each has right to their opinions , when we are respectful of others in general we will get along just fine. In instants where this not the case this site does have a group of committed and very earnest , fair minded moderators who will see to it any posters experience here can be a positive one providing each does their part.
  5. 72 years old...through business dealings met many individuals who dreamed of having franchise in Buffalo , when this became a reality followed the team from day one.
  6. one does need vent or it possible they may explode....
  7. it does not matter for me , be it Francis the talking mule being installed as Bills quarterback, I will support him, don't get at all the need to polarize Bills followers into camps of for or against with every quarterback player on team. Clearly man had a terrible game as did many of the others, but until he replaced by another I will be hoping for the best for him and the current group. Prognosticating failure to me not much fun frankly...
  8. Know that you are appreciated by many , Wish for you a excellent day, Happy Birthday
  9. Agree with original post.. Don't really put much stock into pre season . But it would appear this season will be about a much improved defense, teams stopping the Bills running game, daring them to beat them with the pass. I truly want to believe otherwise but being honest just do not see them good enough at wide receiver or Quarterback. Still think they a good draft and free agent signings away from playoff team... they much better , but just not good enough... will glad to be wrong...
  10. the disparaging of the green olive, just tragic ..... tragic...... entire discussion just putting me right on the edge...
  11. hmmm green olives with mushrooms and bacon bits , extra cheese on pizza a good thing....
  12. Mike Schopp very well may be in terms of the craft a succinct and well spoken commentator/host/announcer, but as a sports host he misplaced and no disrespect to the man, but I tuned him out a long time ago, his comments and opinions about Bills have zero weight or import, because of his position on air and access to information the only attention i pay him is of news reader. What he thinks I just do not care, in fact most disappointed radio station does not have passionate interested people in his position.
  13. http://www.onlinesentinel.com/news/Augusta-National-adds-first-2-female-members-.html Augusta National has admitted its first two Women members and will be admitted into membership of this golf club this fall . It has long been a controversy that women have been excluded from membership of this club, what say you on this subject. Yay or Nay. On side note got to believe in not to far future will be a Female Masters golf tournament at this golf club. And be good all of you and don't turn this into a "would you" thread. Will admit I understand the decision given the time we live, but am disappointed, simply I do see a place for Men only , Women only facilities. frankly I not on board to this all homogenous world of today, mind you I just old guy and at that given these sort of changes , glad I am. Shudder to think what the future does hold sometimes. imo.
  14. Turn in a listen radio sometimes in transit, have found broadcasts, alright, average, not critical of him, he just imparting game action, but in thinking about it, don't imagine he attracts new comers to Bills or broadcast by his talents. Thing is can't think of who in area, a Buffalo person who has team and area in his heart, that would do this job well. No doubt the icon like standard Rick Jeanerette has established on hockey side has set a high bar, but given the import of football in area it would serve Bills well to have a better crew. It hard clearly to replace a person like Van, he so long established. Perhaps some success this season and John Murphy being associated with some good times and magic Bills moments in the coming season and years to come will change this..
  15. This in my opinion shows respect for a veteran player, Bills rather than keep him on roster as depth , perhaps to let him go at some point in season. He has now shot to sign on place of his choosing and compete for job before final countdowns. This sort of move likely to be respected by players , agents around the league as Bills current organization at least fair with players. Always tough for a guy to be let go, but it in end is a business, a very competitive one, but that our team do it in a fair right way a good thing.
  16. This link in threads a number of times, perhaps still some have not seen this, entitled "Battle At Kruger" Buffaloes, vs Lions, , vs Crocodiles, showing a Buffalo win as team work prevails.
  17. so interesting to read of where the many peoples view Bills games and who they view games with. Am in awe that almost every state and province in U.S.A and Canada, plus locals all over the world Bills followers reside. Living in area of Canada , where there is no Bills group that meets to view games together, my experience a solitary one, where my sense of Bills community is found in this forum and wall. Very much appreciate posters sharing their game experience, thank you...
  18. Wish for you a excellent day, Happy Birthday H.... miss you greatly , you are great..

  20. So many peoples who post and frequent site. Have pondered how many of you follow the team. Do you have season tickets? Are season season tickets at this point in time cost prohibitive that you have other expenses that you and family save their monies for one or two special outings to a single game or two?. Do you usually follow games on Television and radio, perhaps logging on to this site or another and follow a particular game, via one of the media's or a combination of all or some of internet, radio , television. Do you ever go to the Ralph simply to attend the tailgates, but at game time head home to view game or a local establishment? How is it for you out of town folk, do you get to Buffalo every home game, traveling from afar, or a few times year, or is your connection with Buffalo people and team moreso, this site , logging on here at game time following via internet and radio/television? Hope the question not to rambling, but think it may be interesting to hear how posters , both near and far follow the team, be it live, internet, radio, television? How has it changed for you. Will admit up to about two years ago, had not missed one Bills game since beginning of franchise, but will admit to becoming a little apathetic about team and actually going for walk during a few games, following on phone, while walking, have still never missed a game played by team, but now certainly the vehicle of how I do it has changed with the many different options available today. At any rate how is it for you. How to you follow Bills, Game time? (i may be nuts, but I feel a good season coming up.... hope this not just old guy feeling frisky on a Monday morning... )
  21. To me pre season a necessary evil, where I am relieved when it is over and teams prospects not unduly altered by injury. Two question marks of concern for me are at wide receiver and backup quarterback , will be interested to see how competition for these positions plays out.
  22. Making use for a day think upgrade is a favorable one generally the view a clearer more defined one, overall easier on the eye thus easier to read. Regarding those who have been marked for conduct that needs me marked , rather wish it was seen by other posters, with perhaps after a time period , said mark removed if poster shows himself/herself understanding of issue. May be a thought. Site at this time in my opinion both in terms of physical structure and the fine efforts of those responsible for its operation, accolades and great respect and appreciation due. Lessons learned and implemented , Good for you... ,
  23. He has said he is interested in soccer career after he retires from sprinting. Clearly he not different than anyone else generally and will be looking into marketing his success as optimally as possible. His deal with puma said to be for $9 mil yr. ends in 13, but likely will be extended with a increase after his Olympic success. Him showing athleticism as young , he could easily be taught to catch ball, not doubt his persona would enjoy the stage of NFL, it a no brainer to give a person such as he as look, frankly foolish not to do so. The biggest consideration is , if he a guy who has had stage to himself as sprinter, could be be a team guy and share stage and could he be coach able , no point bringing him in if he a guy who is not going to listen or cause a inordinate fuss amongst team. Give him a shot nothing to lose. On race this one he went full out and ran right through the line. He met the challenge of young training partner and a final group that all ran amazing times. Certainly he beat the best doing their best, and is clearly on top. With monies available these days , many athletes stay past their prime in sports hardly anyone would blame them, but their is merit in ending career on top and taking on another challenge. Perhaps NFL offer both a great challenge and still the potential to earn a great deal of money.
  24. always best to stay humble , let the other guys talk the smack and respond on the field... nothing better than at the end of the game to smile shake hands and be on the side with more points on the score board. Funny how that will even out the crooked head of the other guy.... "there is not a more delicious feeling than when all around you are telling you that you are wrong, when deep down in your heart you know you are right"
  25. in spite of what these posters are saying directly answering your question, any member of a Sabre or Bill team that wins a first Championship, Stanley Cup or Superbowl, ( previous Bills AFL Champion) will be icons for lifetime, the special moments and season of that achievement told and retold for generations. If Fitz were to be part of a Superbowl team , he would become known as the qb who got it done and by those either to young or not alive during Kellys tenure certainly be the face many would wish to identify with. Fitz will be their generations guy and for the long suffering many in what has come to light regarding Kellys Bills in how they handled their shot at the Superbowls, theirs also. Question though based on past evidence pure fantasy we can only hope and dream to come true, but deep in hearts and heads it just not reality, most just thinking in terms of a entertaining competitive team , Fitz just not seen as the guy.... hoped for yes , but not viewed in this way.... imo:)
