What a play...that took some big kahunas

Simple summation from me --- awful 1st half by both teams, and Chiefs did enough to beat an unhinged/bad Giants team. I'd add to your list: 1. Mahomes/Kelce connection continues to look way out of sorts 2. This Chiefs offense reminds me of Bills/Dorsey at end of relationship--- just not in sync, no identity. Maybe the rungame helps them become more balanced, but this isnt the same OL for them that can move bodies consistently 3. Mahomes backward pass happened 2x FYI - Chiefs were lucky on both/Mahomes saved himself on 2nd. I thought he played OK overall, by his standards Chiefs next 3 games will tell the real story and setup whether this team is going to be fighting for a desperation wildcard late in year - home to Ravens, at Jacksonville, home to Lions. If they drop 2 of those and end up at 2-4, we might see some real panic in KC. With Commanders, Bills, Chargers, Colts, 2x Broncos and Raiders. Not an easy road for them, given what looks like a struggling offense 3 weeks into the season.

What do the Browns have going for them? Pass rush? GB has looked like one of the most balanced NFL teams so far. I think better chance GB covers 8.5 spread

Those deep shots have to be well timed. Miami ran 2 high safeties on a lot of 3rd downs. We need to be more aggressive in early downs, but difficult to go away from Cook early. Our offense can beat teams in alot of ways. Easiest thing is to pound the rock if its working, and stay with a relatively simple passing attack/short. We didnt adjust well during early downs in 2nd half - far less efficient and too many 3rd and 7+. Brady called an excellent 1st half tho, and first drive of 2nd half

Franklin is a cut IMO, when Max returns. Hes been real good on S/T, but between him and Ingram. Regarding Hoecht and Oji, will depend how healthy we are. No way we keep 12 DL - if someone is banged up (at any position) then its an easy decision to IR someone. Outside chance we cut Oji too. Bottom line, let's see our health week 7. But Franklin, Ingram, Samuel, and Oji himself are all potential guys to be cut.

Well another reason, is Miami came into this game really struggling with pass pro. Notice how balanced Miami was with run/pass, like never before...even with us in 4-3 looks more as you said. Miami wanted to eat clock too, play more small ball and cater a bit more to their banged up OL. McD/Babich going more 4-3, presses their hand to throw more...perhaps we liked our front 4 getting pressure, and sorta baiting them into it. All I know is we just played 2 of 3 very run heavy opponents, and Taron was limited all week leading up/not 100% yet for Miami. Too limited of a sample yet, but Im at least encouraged that we finally have a 3rd and 4th LB worth potentially running more base 4-3 with.

I think alot is due to Tarons health - coupled with playing Ravens then Jets and their heavy personell/rungame. Taron is better than any 3rd LB on our roster

And hes back on the field for this next drive.

Where did you get info that Milano and Ed already declared out? Its likely to be that way, but the official injury designation for Thursday hasn't been released yet.

Confirmed broken? Last I heard, the team isnt releasing that --- so what would we say, bruised nose? Love seeing some others not listed - Keon, Tre, Shakir.

Fortunately for us, the Miami OL is struggling, and also forced to play alot of backups. Need to get through this game, and then a mini bye for another home game against struggling Saints.

Not concerned about Dorian. Hes not Milano, but is serviceable. Problem is being down potentially Taron and Cam too. Id feel better if Taron is ready. But if we are down to our 3rd nickle and Dorian, thats a big concern against a still dangerous offense.

All this talk of trade for so and so, and Matt cant stay healthy/so and so predicted this. Wow, we dont even know the extent of injury yet. He was fitted for a brace at halftime and stayed dressed. Maybe he misses a game, maybe its more serious, but the obvious thing isnt to jump to worst case scenario yet (like alot seem to be).

I think anything is on the table, from day to day up to IR. We will know by Thursday, we will need that roster spot for a LB if Milano is expected to be out more than 1 week. Shaq is dinged, but hopefully hes ready this week and promote Jenkins again.

If its partially torn pec, Milano had this in 2020 and went on IR/returned after 4 weeks to resume playing -albeit, worked back in. Wait and see, hopefully low level strain...assuming hes getting imaging today

Lots of people mentioning, missing Rice and Worthy --- true. But Rice is coming off a knee, will he look like he did pre injury? Bigger issues for them IMO, are the OL and Kelce isnt playing like his usual self. The right side of that OL, especially Taylor, is horrendous. Kelce dropped a sure TD, that turned into an INT --- when's that happened in the past? Last week, he ran his crossing route at the goal line incorrectly too. If Rice comes back like he was pre injury, that will help them immensely. But other issues linger that might not be fixable until next yr.

Where was Milano that drive?

Up 20 now. Playing smart. Eat clock and make Fields do something...which he completed 2 passes 1st half...smart

Need to match the physicality, right now Jets trying to bully up front.

We aren't entering a game with just 4 LBs ----regardless of defensive gameplan.

Like us, Steelers had some injury issues up front too. No Harmon (1st rounder), no Herbig (their #3 DE/OLB), and Cam who finally started to get live reps. Not saying to take the Jets lightly, but I think there is a combination of many things contributing to Steelers game. Lets see how our coaching adjusts this week

With Jets being so run heavy, and 2 of our remaining top 3 DL being rookies --- wouldn't surprise me to see both.
