  1. It will be interesting to see the roster gymnastics when he is back healthy again. In my opinion he will be needed in the playoffs especially, we can just have Shakir fair catching punts without any threat of a return when the margins are smaller. It is now looking like Shavers, Davis and Shakir being the primary trio, then Cooks and Coleman and Palmer still being injured. With Hardman's deep threat option and ST ability it looks likely that Coleman would be the odd man out going forward if 6WR are active and healthy on gameday.
  2. We are trending the right way on the injury front, I would keep Bernard inactive, not wanting to mess with what seems to be working. This year it really has been a week to week league, i respect the Broncos, Pats and Jags and what they have done so far. We have got to embrace the struggle and rise to the challenge. We are going to be a tough out for anyone in the playoffs whether we are the 1 or the 7. KC, Baltimore and Cincinnati would be over the moon to be in our position as of now. We got to keep working and clawing to get to where we want to be.
  3. We really did need that Phillips/Epenesa 2nd interception of Burrow, it felt like a bonus at the time but hindsight shows how critical it was to the eventual win.
  4. True in one sense. Starting Leonard for the outside world at least is an automatic L. Rivers is more than likely going to look awful but it might give them a jolt. Rivers I am sure can at the very least be a leader and mentor Leonard somewhat.
  5. Exactly the reason for him to give it a shot! The were truly in between a rock and a hard place - the most hollow 8 and 5 team in recent memory. Everyone is expecting an 8 and 9 season now irrespective of who is the QB. If Rivers wins one game it will be super impressive. No way would you want Leonard to have his first career start at Seattle.
  6. Can you imagine those Pats* fans, in-between your (for now) hypothetical Divisional and AFCCG. They'd be on super cloud nine, "we dethroned Mahomes, we are the new dynasty". Only to be wiped out by Allen and Cook the following week. Chargers best shot, imo, is to take down KC this coming Sunday, they may not make to the playoffs but it will finally kill off KC with 8 losses.
  7. I'm guessing that Dallas was too big of a market to be flexed from SNF this week? Considering Minnesota are not in the playoff hunt at all for the NFC North or WC.
  8. Last year after week 14 we were 10 and 3, this year we are 9 and 4. For all the angst we are only one game worse than last year at the same point in the season. This will be another close game, coming down to penalties, turnovers and sound decision making. My concern will be the special teams in general. Marcus Jones is really good and we seem to always get a flag or two for kickoff returns. I think it will be another high scoring game, one ascending QB against an elite QB, both wanting to show what they've got with 2 defensive HC's going nuts at times.
  9. Let them have a 27-27 tie where everyone gets beat up. Both sides to the argument are true, you don't want to play Houston at home in the postseason but you also want the Chiefs not to make it.
  10. You would hope the Bengals medical staff would want to protect their star player, especially after the second hit. We want everyone to show toughness but brain injuries are no joke and are whole different ball game.
  11. Would picking up the 5th year option increase his trade value? Wondering what his franchise tag could possibly be in two years time. Baltimore may not extend Isiah Likely as one particular alternative.
  12. i believe that Buffalo will make the playoffs as a wildcard, leading to the next question as to where you would be apprehensive to play. New England - An in division opponent, so no location issues a familiar foe. Denver - A long way to travel, time zone difference, altitude adjustment, problematic D but Josh Allen will be super motivated remembering Bradley Chubb/Elway. Jacksonville - They are kind of being overlooked and nobody "fears" them, they keep winning, another score to settle remembering the Tyrod postseason game. Baltimore - I would not feel good travelling there but they are much more variable in performance this year versus the past. Chargers - Similar to Jacksonvile but they don't really have a home field advantage but it'll be a long way to travel. Indianapolis - It will be loud but it is indoors and not too far to travel, you would fear Taylor more than Jones. Houston - The place to ideally avoid, never won there with McD and it will be difficult to be confident against that D. Don't want them to win the South. Pittsburgh - If they make it as the North winners somehow nobody will fear them. Cincinnati - Very unlikely that they would make it as North winners but how I'd feel probably would depend on what happens this week. Category 1 - Feel somewhat confident - NE LAC IND PIT Category 2 - Neutral - JAX BAL CIN Category 3 - Please avoid - DEN HOU We will not play away at Miami or KC if they make it. Need NE to slip up and maybe there is a remote chance to take the division?!
  13. Once again I agree with you. However I can imagine amongst his friends/peers all saying "Buffalo, freezing, boring, blah blah" dodged a bullet lol. If he didn't report to LA or Miami, imo, he'd be receiving the side eyes and giggles, "you didn't want to be in LA or Miami for 6 to 8 weeks to finish up your career, are you crazy bro?". I suppose it is better for all parties that he didn't report and just go through the motions to get a (for him) a relatively small pay check for the last 5 games and not be 100% invested in what remains of the season here.
  14. I agree with you however it is the perception that players don't want to play here that irks me. i guess the Slay situation is somewhat unusual, there can't be many guys who have earned $100M plus be subject to waivers. Let's say if he was claimed by Miami or either of the two LA teams, do you reckon the answer would be the same? Remember he's from the South! If he just wanted to retire all he has to do is just tell the Steelers without involving any other teams/processes.
  15. You have convinced me, I am all in on team "recoup the signing bonus" now.
  16. We probably will not do that in order not to scare away any future free agents or waiver claim players (according to what is commonly believed).
  17. I would hope that the players are motivated by this saga, they have lost their team mate of three and a half years and his replacement isn’t going to show up! Maybe this situation can galvanize them and not distract them for the upcoming game at Cincinnati and the rest of the season. From an overview type of perspective, the thing that bothers me is the “player X does not want to come and play in Buffalo” is now again in the media cycle. Will this ever change?! As Slay is quoted, “I talked to them,” Slay added. “It was a neutral talk. I just said, “Hey, man. I’m 34. I know ya’ll be watching tape, but I’m trying to relax with my family and kid. I ain’t feel like packing up, moving.’ And then, on top of that - no offense to Buffalo — it’s cold as hell in Buffalo. I’m from the south.”. Yet Philadelphia is fine! https://x.com/jennwilliams23/status/1996267499256774713?s=20 Brandon Beane's latest blunder causes Bills' embarrassing CB screw-up
  18. Our two most supposedly impactful receivers and our best DE all have two listed injuries, almost unreal. Palmer I hoped woud be ready for Cincinnati but he will not play after 2 x DNP although i am expecting a "we'll see" answer from McDermott. We were very decisive to put Hardman on IR but not with Kincaid. Get healthy Buffalo!
  19. Is there a deadline for Slay to actually not report or retire? Seems crazy that Buffalo do not gain a player, loses a different player and still have to pay the guy who does not report - like a triple whammy.
  20. Hawes and Washington as the TE's on the same team! Pittsburgh have two freaks of nature in Metcalf and Washington and they cannot figure out how to utilise them.
  21. Yes you have understood what I meant, he should be on the field for the most snaps as a TE. From what I understand Kincaid has never really excelled as an in line blocking TE although he has improved somewhat this year. I think whenever possible, Hawes should be the TE next to the RT. Next season could he be a 500 yard receiver? I would hope so, 30 yards a game should be an achievable target. I understand Hawes is slow, I think in our 2025 offense, the TE1 is the best blocker and TE2 the receiving threat.
  22. For me going forward, for the rest of the season I want Jackson Hawes as TE1, after Josh and James he is the 3rd best offensive skill player right now. Can he be on the field for 75% of the snaps on offense?! He's going turn 25, his time is now and we need him to develop into that elite 3d "J" on offense. Kincaid is so fragile and unavailable, he is still an asset no doubt and has the trust factor with Josh so I would live and die in 12 personnel when needing to pass. I personally would deviate away from Shakir somewhat with the skill postion guys being Cooks, Palmer, Hawes, Kincaid and Cook but two of those guys are constantly banged up and I am unsure whether this lineup can ever have a chance to show what it can do. Shavers could be Mack Hollins jr this year. Very glad we got the W against Pit, would like to see the DL really bring the heat on Burrow and will we see Benford following Chase next week?! Go Bills.
  23. Voted for White and Milano. They are the youngest and have been core Bills players. The best choices are Bosa and Thompson I guess, their impact is the easiest to see but I have voted on age and sentiment.
  24. Heading into week 14, nobody would have forseen the number 1 seeds going into the week as being Chicago and NE. Five more weeks to go. Denver cannot afford to slip up against the Raiders this week with the Pats having their bye in the current battle for the number 1 seed.
  25. Week 15, the SNF of Min at Dal seems like a candidate to be moved? I understand that Dallas is a big market. Agree on the week 16 SNF being changed.
