You conveniently left out all the first and second round picks on defense. That’s my point. You literally just supported my argument by naming all those picks on offense. We spent one pick on an offensive player before the third round…unless you want to count the first (and multiple others) for Diggs. Meanwhile, we seem to load up on first and second round talent on defense.

Yes…time to fill the defense in FA and finally use top picks on offense.

We aren’t losing Daboll to keep McD. Just stop with that. Daboll is getting a HC job and has earned it. That said, I think McD expedited his hot seat with Sunday’s meltdown. If he wasn’t on it before, he is certainly at least on watch heading into next year. I agree with you that it concerns me that he is a mostly defensive minded coach and it does concern me on what is going to happen on the offensive side of the ball. That’s why I’m hoping we keep Dorsey around, especially after Allen all but made a mess over himself when dorsey’s name was brought up. I think this is a huge off-season for both McD and Beane. We need to get Allen everything he needs and spend some premium resources on weapons and protection. I’m not talking about aging veterans and third round picks. I’m talking a splash on offense and first and/or second round picks. We have spent heavily on defense and it’s time to develop them. IMO, If McBeane doesn’t address offense in a big way in favor of the defense, and we fail…they are gone. Sundays game was brutal and is a terrible look McD.

Been saying this for a long time. You simply aren’t gonna hold the chiefs to a low score. You aren’t. Your best bet is to out score them. Our defense doesn’t have to be the top unit in the league. We all saw how that worked for us last night. It simply needs to be “good enough”. Our resources need to go to the offense first and foremost and strengthen our greatest strength…Josh Allen. BPA…on offense. Wow. Just wow. Allen has a high release point? Do you watch him throw? It’s more sidearm than high. Brown doesn’t have the feet to be an OT? He had the highest relative athleticism score ever since that became a thing. Im not sure what else to say here…

This. This. This!!! We need to stop looking at these types of games as the need to draft more defense. It’s a joke. Allen is our greatest strength and we need to support our greatest strength. If this defense doesn’t have all it needs after all the top picks poured into it, then someone else should be making the picks. Allen is the only first round pick on offense in the McD era (unless you wanna include the Diggs trade). It’s so lopsided it’s not even funny. What do teams do when they draft qbs? They get him weapons. What did we do in 2018? We traded up for an underachieving linebacker and followed that up with two more defensive players. I don’t know…I just feel Allen deserves the type of talent around him that guys like burrow, Dak, and Justin Herbert have. We owe him that…especially after last night.

About RB…I disagree. I think RB is still a need, but maybe not as big a one as a few weeks ago. Singletary has stepped up, but he will never be quick enough to run away from a defense. We can absolutely upgrade at RB.

Yes. Good point. Those 2 series were awful. Just make no sense whatsoever. I know the run game came a long way, but they almost expected that to continue even though it was evident early on that this was gonna have to be the Josh Allen show. Two wasted series.

Yeah we need speed. Jahan Dotson from PSU is another intriguing option that could fall into that slot. I’d love either him or Olave. It was brutal that one series where we got the ball almost in KC territory and we handed off to Singletary 3 straight times. That’s not what got us there and they took the ball out of 17s hands. Inexcusable.

That’s what we got from our last 1st round pick, and last two 2nd round picks…COMBINED. Don’t anyone talk to me about defense anymore. It’s clear that the best way to win is to load up on offensive weapons and run up the score. Allen and Davis were amazing tonight, but we need a legit RB and some speed at WR.

Really? Haha. You can’t be serious. Bojo is WAY better than our current punter. He’s been one of the best punters in the league this year and gets one punt blocked and now we “dodged a bullet”? SMH…

You say that, but the giants just took a chance on a GM that was “cutting his teeth” as an assistant. It’s not like Dorsey hasn’t been learning on the job for a few years now. The bottom line is, every great coach got their start somewhere. For all we know, Dorsey might be the next great OC. I’ll leave it up to Beane’s discretion. He’s earned the benefit of any doubt. Exactly. 100%. In fact, I’ll go a step further…make Dorsey OC and don’t even worry with hiring a qb coach. Just keep Webb on the sideline as a backup and let him be the acting QB coach. And I don’t get why posters assume he wouldn’t be adequate. Goes both ways. Again…I’ll trust Beane in this.

It has a lot to do with us because there are still areas for improvement this off-season and even good teams get to draft players.

To the OP…no way. Not in a million years. We endured him kicking our butt for years…now that we’ve turned it around it’s time for him to take it for a while.

Completely disagree. Allen is who he is today because of that experience and being able to fail and figure out the game by playing.

I picked Diggs, because he seems to be the most likely, however, I could just as easily seeing it be Tyler Bass. As the kicker, he has the best chance to decide a game on his own and the football gods owe us a big time winning fg.

Can someone please tell me why they started going conservative after going up 10-0? Allen was throwing the ball well and then we put the brakes on. Now it’s a game again and he is asked to be a thrower again and his mojo is gone. Daboll and McD need to get a clue and start playing 60 minutes. This is absurd.

Honestly…I will (and I’m sure Allen will as well) take winning on the field over a silly popularity contest any day of the week. Who cares?

My hope is someone like Brandon Scherff in FA and then a speedy weapon and another guard in the first 2 rounds. That would go a long way in improving this offense imo.

Yeah I only said mid round because so many on here were so content with mid round offensive picks for years in favor of high defensive picks. That’s part of what got us to this spot imo.

Yeah I mean you would have to replace Edmunds. I get that. Maybe a mid rounder or a FA?
