  1. Let’s face it…McDs love affair with using high picks on defense has finally caught up with this offense. Here is what I wanna see: 1. Sign a nasty vet guard in FA 2. Use first round pick on a WR 3. Use second rounder on a speedy RB 4. Use a third rounder on another nasty guard Is this finally the year McD sees the light and understands we have a dawg at qb and we need to give him the weapons to get the most out of his abilities?
  2. All over the place? I’ll give you Diggs, but sanders is old and hurt and hasn’t had a 1000 yard season since 2016. Who else? I’ll wait…
  3. Stacked at WR? Ummm…no. We have Diggs and then a bunch of replaceable guys after that. Go get a blue chipper.
  4. Where would this team be without him?
  5. Anyone with a pulse can see that Daboll has become stagnant and bullish on play calls in critical situations. He keeps calling run plays after we have a big pass play and it sets us up for second and long.
  6. I can’t disagree here with this theory. However, we also need some playmakers on offense. Just fixing the oline will not make our running backs faster or make Beasley or sanders any younger. This needs to be a mostly offensive heavy draft for us to get to the level where we need to be for the foreseeable future. We have too many guys on short deals. We need some longer rookie deals to right this ship.
  7. I’m starting to get really concerned about the coaching as well. I love McD and what he’s about but I really feel he might be a liability. Daboll is as good as gone. Not sure about Frazier. I just know we don’t have any nastiness on either side. Brown is prob our nastiest but he’s a ways off from being great. Allen is nasty but he can only do so much.
  8. I honestly think we have fed into this narrative and it simply might not be true. Are we the most talented team? I don’t think we are. We are soft and beat ourselves. Outside of Allen, Diggs, and maybe Spencer Brown…who do we have on offense that other teams need to be really concerned about? As for the defense…our only dawg is out for the year and the rest is comprised of guys that aren’t nasty. You could argue that Poyer and Hyde might fit into that, but no one else fits that mold. We have assembled a team of nice guys that are starting to fall apart and unravel. It’s very concerning.
  9. Oh I totally agree. 100%. I wanted ettienne in the worst way. Thought he would complete this offense. Give us a dynamic playmaker in the run game as well as the passing game. Well he was picked before us, but I still think they targeted Rousseau. In the second round, there is no excuse for dipping into DE again. They seemed to consider moving up a few spots to get Basham. He was their guy. We could have have had Creed Humphery. Imagine how that would change our offensive line. Just from one pick.
  10. They were set on a defensive end no matter what. This is a moot point.
  11. Well…the backs deserve plenty of blame. They just aren’t that good. Any holes that are there get closed off quickly cause they don’t have the speed to get there. They are a liability and Beane deserves a lot of criticism for not trying to find a playmaker there. Yes he signed breida, but he is only on a one year deal and he has obvious issues.
  12. Yes. We are at the point where we need to draft for need. Look at last year. They were being very transparent about “fixing” the pass rush and they took one in 1 and 1 in two. This year they need to do that with offense. It’s clear that we need interior offensive line. Fix it. And we also need a speedy weapon if we don’t bring back Breida.
  13. Totally agree. It’s so easy to see that Beane made a mistake this off-season by basically running back last years line and thinking we’d be fine. Yes, he drafted Brown who appears to be a stud. Great find. But beyond that, he added an aging Emmanuel sanders to a 1 year deal and our only speedy weapon in Matt Breida is also on a 1 year deal. We need playmakers and guys that can protect our qb. We have invested so many recent high picks in defense and now it’s time to do that with some nasty dudes for the line. We will also need to replace Beasley soon so a speedy slot guy has to be considered.
  14. I don’t agree with any of this. Hyde and Poyer are the best safety tandem in football and they are showing no signs of slowing down. If there is one thing (and there is more than one) that McD is good at, it’s developing corners. He’s taken an undrafted free agent and a 7th rounder and made them more than serviceable. In Carolina, he made Josh Norman a star and never had a high draft pick at either corner spot.
  15. Totally disagree. One injury on defense doesn’t change the fact that interior offensive line still isn’t the biggest need. Heck, with Breida on a one year deal, I would argue that offensive playmaker might be a bigger need as well.
  16. If you are going to mention Moss, then you absolutely have to throw Singletary’s name in there too.
  17. Exactly. Man, Creed Humphrey would look nice in a Bills uniform right now.
  18. Well the loss of Brown caused us to shuffle the entire right side of the offensive line. This wasn’t just about losses on defense.
  19. Come on man…we put a lot of stats up against crap teams. It doesn’t take a genius to see that.
  20. Pressure? Cool…what about finishing the play and getting the qb down?
  21. OP…don’t even get me started on this. People don’t wanna hear it, even if it’s true.
  22. Yes it’s a big deal. Absolutely. However, this thread wouldn’t exist if it was a possibility for this team at this point. It seems OP is trying to feel better about things. Haha
  23. This thread was not very well thought out. At one point today, our leading rusher was our qb and our leading receiver was the awful Devin Singletary. That can’t happen.
