  1. This all but guarantees Gordon will be there at 25. I really hope Beane doesn’t take a slow corner. The only way I could somewhat handle a round 1 corner is if he has elite speed.
  2. He also said that Davis has said his job is to get the other team to third and long. No mention of having any interest in getting after the passer on third down. Would absolutely hate this pick. He’s a two down player that struggles with weight. No thanks…
  3. What if we are picking the fifth corner off the board and he doesn’t fit our scheme? Do you draft him cause we need one or do you take the WR if he’s what you are looking for? There are so many ways to look at this. You can wait and get a corner in 2 or 3 and still have them cheap for 4 years.
  4. Jahan Dotson at 25. With news that the bills are granting Beasley permission to seek a trade, this will become a need. We need a slot guy that can be a weapon to Allen and will have the threat of YAC. Dotson provides elite speed, versatility, and great hands that can help improve the offense. Beane has said many times that they have to keep their fastball and Dotson does that.
  5. So we draft a corner in the first just to avoid half a year of Jackson as the 1? That’s what I don’t agree with. We can get a corner in FA or the third and still get a possible upgrade. The only way I’d be somewhat ok with a first round corner is if his name is Gardner, McDuffie, or Stingley. Anyone else, just wait…
  6. Watson will be gone before we pick in the second. I agree. That’s why if we want a dynamic playmaker at WR, we should be looking in round 1. Heck, guys like Andy Isabella and Tutu Atwell went in round 2…I’m starting to doubt Calvin Austin will be there by the time we pick in 2 now. I really believe if we target a corner in FA or round 3, we can get an immediate upgrade over Jackson and Wallace. They were a 7th rounder and UDFA for a reason. Go find someone in round 3 and coach them into a quality starter like the staff always does at DB. Poyer was a journeyman before he came to Buffalo and now he’s one of the best in football. We don’t need to take a corner with our first or second pick. I feel all the confidence in the world that this staff will maximize talent wherever they find one.
  7. I disagree. McD and his staff are masters at developing corners. If there is an organization in the league that can wait until the third or later to get a corner and make him a very good starter it’s the Bills.
  8. No way Watson makes it to the bottom of 3. Not a chance after all the buzz he has created at the senior bowl and the combine.
  9. This doesn’t make any sense. All the reporters told me he wasn’t accurate. This can’t be true…
  10. It certainly tells me the Bills brass liked something they saw last night. This coincides with reports that they were very active in top WR prospect meeting a couple days ago. I think WR is very much on the table in 1.
  11. He won’t be there. If we want one of the top guys we need to take them at 25 or trade up in 2. I believe that there will be a major run on receivers in the early part of 2.
  12. Just because they have speed doesn’t mean they are good receivers. Do they have good hands? Do they run good routes? Do they have it between the ears?
  13. His hands are really good. He would have no trouble catching a josh Allen fastball…
  14. I don’t believe this at all. He’s still the top qb imo. Teams were ready for his hand to come in small. This isn’t something that should be considered shocking. He will too. He is accurate and has a good arm.
  15. Then that pushes other receivers down one spot. Imo, it still doesn’t take away from how amazing a top receiver can be in this offense.
  16. Or…we could get a CB in FA and draft a WR in the first…
  17. Dotson would be the perfect replacement for Beasley. He’s faster, more dynamic, and would be a lot cheaper for 5 full years. Yes please…
  18. So you can’t “fix the defense” in FA? Why is it that a lot of people think we can keep patching together an offense, but we have to use high picks every year on defense? It can work the other way around. In fact, I think it should. We need to get younger on offense and have some cheap contracts on guys that will be around a while. We can’t keep all our rookie deals on one side of the ball.
  19. Yeah if linderbaum is there, I hope they don’t talk themselves out of making him the pick. Think about it…would they make the same mistake a year after passing on creed Humphrey for Basham?
  20. Is Beasley meaningless in this offense? If you say no, then you have my answer. Beasley is on the last year of his deal and we need to think ahead and get a cheap option to replace him with. Diggs will prob get a raise and Davis will likely command decent money in a few years. Once we lose Beasley we will lose a big part of our greatest strength…passing the ball.
  21. I can answer this… Treylon Burks Drake London Jahan Dotson Zion Johnson Jameson Williams
  22. We aren’t picking a DE in the first round. Gotta get younger elsewhere. They made their bed with Rousseau, Basham, and Epenesa. Time to develop.
  23. I’ve said this over and over…you aren’t stopping the chiefs. The only way to “stop” them is to hope they have a bad game. It’s silly to think we can stop that offense when they are firing on all cylinders.
  24. Dear Lord…you nailed it!!!! We get a speedy playmaker for the offense and a corner in round 2. The rest is gravy. Well done…
  25. Bingo. Exactly right. The same people that say we need more speed on defense ignore the fact that we were dead last in the league in yards after the catch on offense. We really didn’t play well offensively until the second half of the Bucs game. I’m not betting anything that what we saw afterwards is sustainable until we add some more playmakers on the offensive side. As long as we have Allen, we need to do right by him and get him weapons like the chiefs have done for Mahomes.
