LB - Starters/Depth - Is more needed?
dje85 replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Devin White would be overkill on our unit. We have bigger needs than another starting lb when we play nickle a majority of the time and only 2 lbs are on the field at that time. We will likely draft one or two lbs later in the draft that fit our lb role. Milano was a late round guy and is killing it in this system. I bet we roll the dice on some cheap depth lbs that can also play special teams. I mean we have ten draft picks we got to spend them on something. -
What? Never heard that before... The plural form of deer is deer. I'm assuming you are just making words up lol But I have to correct this because I know people will believe you and before you know it that will be a thing.

Stefon Diggs being traded to Washington? Likely no

Case Keenum the qb they traded for? -
I agree, Beane killed (in a good way) this off season already.

Or D) he wants to go to New Orleans and weigh his offers. Or E.) New Orleans upped their offer. Or F). His medicals checked out the Bills wanted him but he decided Buffalo wasn't a fit for him or F2) He was hoping we would up the offer with a healthy check up and we didn't. I'm betting we trade for Ogbah from the Bowns. Cheaper trade option.

With all the moves, I'm now conflicted at 9
dje85 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm gun shy about taking wrs that early ever since Sammy Watkins. I was ecstatic at the time we snagged him even if we had to trade up. I know one wr fail doesn't mean it will always happen but still makes me gun shy. I'd rather take one of the dts where even if he doesn't ive p to the hype taken at 9 he will likely still play at a decent level and his short comings can be hid in a dt rotation. -

Ah okay well I guess that is a possibility of a trade up. So that is still on the board touche you got me there. As for left guard being easier. It really isn't. Yes you have help but most guards don't make good tackles much like most tackles don't end up making good guards. It requires different technical skill sets. I just think tackle is his best position. Yes he had an off year last year but I think he comes into this upcoming season motivated and playing at a high level. -

I'll make it easier for you. Josh Allen 99% likely won't be available by our pick. Also, the Bills won't slide Dawkins inside to left guard. I don't get people's obsession with wanting to do this just because some draft analysts and anonymous scouts said he would be god there. -
Predict the next Bills UFA/Trade signing

Well no one was right. Can we get a re do? Also in regards to the post I quoted. Often times in recent history the Bills send their private planes to pick a player up and bring him to their city. -

I think we would draft a dt personally. -

Dee Ford didn't fit their scheme switch to a 4-3 he has openly been on the trade block. He had to go. Clowney isn't openly on the trade block. They don't ave to trade him. -

You really think all it would take is a switch of first rounders for a young de who had 9 sacks the past two years? -

Clowney would cost that first rounder likely. So you could cancel that Hockenson jersey. -

I like it! Between him and Murphy we might get a healthy 16 games combined.

Bills one of 6 teams in on Leveon Bell
dje85 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree but we have the cap space for both and some. Though not sure it makes any sense. Of course Gore didn't make sense to me either. So what do I know. -
They have added two wrs and a all pro guard so far this off season. They are making a lot of moves on both sides of the ball. They will be better. We won't get two gift wins next year. Though I still doubt it'll put them over the hump but free agency just started they could continue to improve. Blah..

CJ Mosley to the Jets (5 yr, $85M, $51M gtd)

Won twice against them next year?.... Are you from the future? Did we sign Williams? Any other big name free agents? -

Their cornerbacks are terrible. They lost Clairborne who was their best last year. There is always a hole in a defense. Though I agree it will be a much better Jets team as a whole next season. -
Both the contracts the Broncos threw out today were crazy. They obviously had specific targets and threw out silly money to ensure they got them. Pretty much screw balling over everyone else in the tackle and safety markets.

What I would like to see the Bills do going forward
dje85 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was going off earlier quoted averaged per year contract figures my numbers were off. As I said if the figures quoted were correct ad they were not obviously.
