  1. Anything’s possible, but wasn’t Haskins a Snyder influenced pick? I’m thinking Snyder will hire someone who fits with Haskins. Fair enough, he’s just the stereotypical journeyman QB.
  2. I agree, barring injury he’s not playing us next week. The Redskins are a dumpster fire, and that certainly doesn’t help Haskins. Haskins being the starter against us (however unlikely) wouldn’t really scare me, but he does have potential, which is more than you can say for Keenum.
  3. His numbers aren’t bad, but he put up really good numbers the first two games of the season. Keenum posted two ratings over 100, and 5 TD’s to 0 Int’s. His numbers have been quite ugly since. He threw for 77 yards last week against SF.
  4. Yeah, I’m not big on Haskins, but an unknown rookie without much film scares me more than Keenum. I know Haskins looked bad in his one start, but you never know. I’m more confident that Keenum is guaranteed to be terrible.
  5. I agree, and I don’t think their D is as bad as the numbers indicate. It will be a low scoring game next week imo.
  6. I agree, Gordon is a big name because he had a monster season back in 2013 with bums playing QB in Cleveland. He’s an average WR production wise ever since.
  7. You’re looking at it the right way. If you bring in a guy like that, you just look at him as quality depth. We are lacking at that position. I take issue with anyone who thinks Gordon is a number one, or can produce like an elite talent. Otherwise, anything is an improvement.
  8. Good points, I just don’t know if Gordon’s current production levels are worthy of dealing with his baggage and potential for future transgressions. If Beane is stressed enough about the position to bring in a guy like Gordon, he should have considered drafting a WR earlier. Make a deal for AJ Green, or Keenan Allen, then I’ll be interested. Yeah, as usual somethings fishy in Foxboro.
  9. He wasn’t bad last year, the issue is that it was his only relevant season outside of 2013. That’s not a guy who the thought of being on the roster excites me. I wouldn’t go crazy if my team signed the guy, I’m just saying that I wouldn’t expect much. Lots of people are talking like he’d be an instant impact player on the Bills, and I can’t see that being so certain.
  10. I just don’t think 40 catches in 11 games with Brady is that great for a guy with Gordon’s ability. Those 40 catches were also his best season in years. Assessing Gordon depends upon ones opinion of Brady. I see Brady as a great QB with below average outside WR’s for the past few seasons. Gordon is a guy who most likely becomes a nobody elsewhere. With that said, other people around TBD are wrongly convinced that Brady is washed up.
  11. Seem a bit touchy and dare I say “paranoid” about weed being insulted ? He just doesn’t make smart decisions. That doesn’t give me much confidence he’d be an expert on the Pats offense as far as giving quality intel is concerned.
  12. Dude hasn’t had a 50 catch season in five years or something, and people here are getting excited about him.
  13. That he becomes part of the offense (even if just a small part, as I don’t think he’s close to being a game changing guy) , and the team is quickly forced to adjust to life without him after he gets suspended. I’d prefer to work with what we have. He’s been unreliable his entire career, and I don’t like messing with team chemistry.
  14. I just don’t think he’s good enough to be worth the risk.
  15. Good point, but John Brown is a speedy deep threat, and Allen hasn’t been able to connect with him once. Why bring a guy in hopes of Allen finding the deep ball? Deep shots and 50/50 balls are the only thing Gordon can do, that’s my exact concern. He appears slow, and doesn’t look like an exceptional all around WR at this stage in his career imo. If I bring in a WR, I want an all around complete player. I don’t want a possibly washed up guy with a checkered past.
  16. He was alright in NE, but with his talent I thought he disappointed. Playing with Brady is such a huge opportunity, and he never really became a feared WR. I really think he’d be just another mediocre guy in Buffalo.
  17. I’m not liking a guy who couldn’t really succeed in NE.
  18. The “experts” never use that comparison, but that’s who Allen reminds me of most.
  19. I understood that, but for a guy like myself (who probably has the first stages of hearing loss to be honest) it’s tough to hear those things in any stadium with 70,000 people. Even when we’re not on defense, there’s still a lot of noise just from having a many people gathered in one place. New Era doesn’t have the greatest sound system, I’m not trying to argue anything to the contrary, but I’ve had trouble hearing the PA announcer at other football stadiums. It could definitely be improved, but I’ve never heard the PA as clearly at football games as you do at quieter events like baseball. Quite honestly, I couldn’t care less. If I want to hear announcers, I’ll stay home to watch on TV.
  20. I get your point, but it’s not making excuses. We haven’t had a 300 yard passer in so long because we haven’t a QB. I’m very confident in Allen, he’s just not ready to carry the team. A balanced attack suits us best at this point. If we put points on the board it really doesn’t matter if Allen passes for 300. We need him to grow, and whatever it take to win, I’m good with that.
