  1. Twice. Also the wind game in 2021 vs. New England and that smarmy smirk on Belichick's face and his fist pump after. We lost to Mac Jones with a strong-armed QB used to wind in Wyoming. [We also lost to Jones twice.]
  2. Not sure if you have an answer yet, but it looks like we have nine picks after the Rasul Douglas trade, plus probably a 3rd-round comp pick for losing Edmunds: First round: Own Second round: Own [Hoping a third-round comp pick] Fourth round: Own Fifth round: From Green Bay Fifth round: Own Sixth round: Own Sixth round: From Los Angeles Rams, or from Denver via Rams Sixth round: From Houston, or from Dallas via Houston Seventh round: Own Also, anyone know what this means: "Sixth round: From Houston, or from Dallas via Houston" ?? Tampa Bay should screw us out of a WR too, again. In 2014, they took Mike Evans. Had we stayed put, they might have drafted Sammy Watkins, and we could have had Evans. I know...it's all hindsight and speculation. But many current mocks have Tampa Bay taking a WR too, and Odunze's name comes up a lot.
  3. Stephon has posted many of the wishes and gifts of the people close to him wishing him a happy birthday on his IG story: https://www.instagram.com/stories/stefondiggs/3246854846539331920/
  4. Braylon Edwards, a former Jets WR, Michigan alum, and Big Ten Network personality, was just on The Odd Couple with Rob Broussard and Chris Parker on Fox Sports Radio. He said that the inside word is that Jim Harbaugh must win the national championship. Any loss in the finals or semi-finals would mean there is a good chance he is fired since Michigan would be disillusioned with him. So, he would then be out of a job. Not advocating for him, but the word is he must win out to save his job.
  5. The rumor is New England is taking JJ McCarthy. No way Drake or Caleb drops that much to New England, unless they swing a trade, which I think Chicago and Arizona would be stupid to do.
  6. Yeah, as you noted, they did two games last week with Thanksgiving and us. They earned their break. Good week to take it too.
  7. Hope we're done with this guy for the season. And, strangely enough...Hochuli's crew is on a bye this week. https://nflcommunications.com/Documents/2023 Football Information/Capsules/Week 13 Capsules.pdf [Also, I usually make the ref thread Tuesday, but since the Bills weren't playing, I didn't think anyone would be interested in who's officiating the other games.]
  8. Yep...I feel sorry for Bengal's fans being forced to watch Cleveland though over America's Game of Week (SF at Philly).
  9. Few notes: 1. Eugene and Medford Oregon moved off from showing the Chargers at New England on the FOX Early slate, as originally planned, to show Denver at Houston. They usually cowtown for Herbert, but they changed their minds since the Chargers suck this year. 2. Hawaii switched from Detroit at New Orleans to Miami at Washington on the FOX Early slate since they like to cowtown for Tua, who went to high school in Ewa Beach. 3. Good week if you're in an all-red area, like I am, since you get the three best games: Denver at Houston, Detroit at New Orleans, and San Francisco at Philadelphia. 4. Sorry to fans in the Tampa Bay area (@machine gun kelly, @st pete gogolak, who else?) who get to be blacked out from the best game of the week (SF at Philly on FOX) since Tampa Bay is enforcing a blackout to show their home game vs. Carolina exclusively. Really exciting. The solution is Sunday Ticket. 5. With the way the Bills have been playing, I am glad to be taking a week off from them. Although, to be fair, last week was an exciting, though disappointing, game.
  10. Shame London won't get in. He wasn't viewed as "exciting" like Ray Lewis. Yep...or Marshawn Lynch or Stephon Gilmore maybe. Thanks for doing the research. His tackles for losses and snap counts vs. Lewis are eye popping! I never knew he was so great.

  12. Alos, disappointed Washington makes an announcement congratulating London, but not Buffalo (or the Rams). [But maybe this is a good thing, since it shows the Bills are too upset about how the season has gone to tend to such matters??]
  13. I am not sure if that matters. Buffalo lost two in a row to Cincinnati and Denver.

  15. Sort of like a push-out in pocket billiards after the break.
  16. Wait, is this really a rule? I never read anything about a TD and a 2-point PAT on the initial possession ending the game. https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/nfl-overtime-rules/ "OVERTIME RULES FOR NFL POSTSEASON GAMES Unlike regular season games, postseason games cannot end in a tie, so the overtime rules change slightly for the playoffs. If the score is still tied at the end of an overtime period — or if the second team’s initial possession has not ended — the teams will play another overtime period. Play will continue regardless of how many overtime periods are needed for a winner to be determined. There will be a two-minute intermission between each overtime period. There will not be a halftime intermission after the second period. The captain who lost the first overtime coin toss will either choose to possess the ball or select which goal his team will defend, unless the team that won the coin toss deferred that choice. Each team will have an opportunity to possess the ball in overtime. Each team gets three timeouts during a half. The same timing rules that apply at the end of the second and fourth regulation periods also apply at the end of a second or fourth overtime period. If there is still no winner at the end of a fourth overtime period, there will be another coin toss, and play will continue until a winner is declared."
  17. Thanks for spelling "complementary" correctly.👍 [It's stupid, but it's a pet peeve of mine.]
  18. Good answer! I hadn't thought of Dungy. Of course, he had to be fired by Tampa Bay after 2021 since he couldn't get Tampa Bay to the SB. Also, I edited my post as you were typing to mention Mike Shanahan with the Broncos, guiding them to two SB wins after both Reevers and Phillips were fired.
  19. Question (just asking since I don't know the answer): Has a team with a known franchise QB that has not won a SB with that QB ever fired their HC and then gone on to win a SB with that same QB? (Teams like the Packers in 2005 don't count since when Mike Sherman was fired, they had Rodgers, but he wasn't a known franchise QB at the time. The 2002 Buccaneers also don't count since Brad Johnson was not a true franchise QB.) EDIT: I just thought of Denver firing Dan Reeves after 1992 and then Wade Phillips after 1994 before finally getting Mike Shanahan and winning multiple SB's with John Elway. But Phillips was not the initial solution. It took some time to get it right. And at that time, Elway was almost done and hanging on.
