This is the first year there has been more than one week of two MNF games (in fact, three this year) and the first time it is so late in the season. This is the exact explanation I heard on some show on Fox Sports Radio this week.

Though this tweet is from a Miami fan, this fake speech actually had a really good message: to finish the game and play the second half like you did the first. Finish the job. Some might find it distasteful, so I took a member's advice on the main forum and decided to post it in this forum for the first time ever.

I think so but I am not familiar with it. It sounded a little like him but the language wasn't real Arabic, just like a non-native speaker trying to imitate it.

I posted a tweet yesterday from a Miami fan making a joke about McD's [fake] halftime speech, invoking 9-11 and the Twin Towers. The tweet referenced Mohamed Atta and George Bush. I decided to delete it after I got a downvote. I thought it might make some remember the attacks that day. Also, I was worried it might lead to a political discussion possibly. Should I re-post it? I don't think I will. [But it was actually hilarious...sorry.] EDIT: the other thing is the fake McD speech had a really good message: to finish the game and play the second half like you did the first. Finish the job.
