LOL. Ok, you can tell my age with that one. I'll fix it. Thank you! [BTW, half the time I still refer to the Cardinals as the "St. Louis (or Phoenix) Cardinals". Face palm.]

Add this to another key NFL off-season date this year: More info on which city or cities will get SB LX and maybe LXI will be announced this off-season:

This thread is two weeks old, but I saw an article in PFT today about Travis Kelce, relevant to this thread: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/02/09/travis-kelce-why-am-i-always-open-andy-reid-baby/ "Travis Kelce: Why am I always open? Andy Reid, baby Why am I always open? I say it all the time: Andy Reid, baby. Big Red,” Kelce said. “He can dial stuff up at the right time, create some things at the right time, and then on top of that everybody’s doing their jobs. It’s not just a me go out there and get open type play. I’m sure you guys like to think that, but there’s a lot of madness to it, and there’s a lot of guys doing their jobs for the big picture. I’m fortunate that I’m playing here, for sure.” And then some good comments on a PFT article about stopping Kelce: "Hubris If I was a Chiefs fan, I’d be cringing. Philly needs to study the Pat Chung tape on Kelce." "I think the reason he’s always open is Mahomes ability to extend plays and make any throw on the field at the same time. As Kelce has said many times, once the play breaks down then he just needs to know based on the play call where they will likely be open space and get there asap and Mahomes will find him. The two of them have the Reid calling great plays etc, but they have the school yard game down to a science also. I agree with an above commenter that Philly should really study what Chung, Ninkovich and other Patriots did to stop Kelce using physicality, because that is one thing that has worked over the years." "For the life of me I’ve never understood why some defensive coordinator hasn’t taken a 3rd string TE and turned them into a Defensive TE. Preferably one who has played defensive in H.S. and/or College. The mismatches with slow LBs and undersized Safties always favors a Kelce or a Gronk." So it seems like Belichick was able to stop Kelce. I hope McD and Frazier can shut Kelce down in the future. Also, some funny comments about the KC offense being that of Reid, not Bienemy: "You mean it’s not Bieniemy? I thought Bieniemy was the genius. The Bieniemy head coach interview process. Q “How do you get Kelce open all the time?” A “You’ll have to ask Andy”" "Bieniemy next time he sees Kelce. “Bruh…little help, I’m trying to get a HC gig…”"

Your English is excellent! Is English part of the school curriculum there? I know it was for my mom, who grew up in Taiwan. -
Major Sports Alignment and Playoff Qualifying
chongli replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember when only 5 teams per conference qualified for the NFL playoffs (3 division winners and 2 wild cards). A division title meant an automatic bye (but not necessarily a home game). Also remember the old NBA mini-series (best of 3) in the first round. In MLB, there was once only 2 division winners per league qualifying for the playoffs and no inter-league play. 20-game-win pitchers were more common. Some teams had two. How things have changed. As for the NHL, I liked it when there was the Adams Division, Patrick Division, Norris Division, and Smythe Division. And Prince of Wales and Clarence Campbell Conferences. Why did they have to ruin a good thing? [Side note: a good mnemonic I used to remember the conferences was the Edmonton Oilers had the same name as the Houston Oilers, who had Earl Campbell. Thus, Edmonton was in the Campbell Conference.] -
Just post a link to that post here so anyone can read it if they so desire. No need to bump.

Someone laughed at this post. Hope it was a mis-press.

Way too early. Anything said here is just wild guesses. Let's wait until tags, tenders, free agency, trades, the draft, front office changes, etc. are completed.

How did the Patriots maintain a top team for 17 years?
chongli replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
These are good points, but I am wondering is there a contradiction here, or can these both be true? Also, what can McBeane learn from the Patriots? Find a way to get the most out of players and play better situational football? Don't spend top dollars on free agents (like Von??) Build up your offensive line? -

Ok, the Pats wee the victim here. The NFL is rigged then. Take this whining to the Pats board. I thought you were a good poster. -
UPDATED - v3.0 (FINAL) on p.13 - Gunner's 2023 Mock Draft
chongli replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just can't see Tampa Bay drafting a QB in the first round when they still have Kyle Trask, who was drafter number 33 overall in 2021. [Also, learned something new today: "junior" is abbreviated "jnr" in British English!] -
I hate so say it, but KC 34-Philly 19.
